TRADUIT DE L’ALLEMAND
Had a lovely birthday breakfast with the sweet and juicy young journalist and musician with the hot band Tenderloin, Felix Knoke. Not only is Felix smart but he is deliciously witty and bright with a knowledge of a million subjects and is a lot of fun to hang out with. He works freelance with a lot of different periodical publications in Germany, but writes mainly for Der Spiegel Online and Der Stern. I’ve known Felix since 2005 and I am the better woman having made his hunky acquaintance. After catching up with Felix in the morning I spent the afternoon with Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim for Christ Jesus at his Neu Koelln compound where we helped me with some pressing issues concerning my commission pieces in the states. Whenever I have trouble deciding anything I always run it by Daniel as he is a pillar of cool calmness and reason, where I tend to be shrill and hysterical. I am always getting offended by someone or something and I tend to lash out immediately especially in written form as my pen sheds a might poisonous venom.
Later I met up with Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Radio magazine to see the slide talk by Wieland Speck and Andreas Struck at Arsenal that is part of the month long Wieland Speck Retrospectacle. Called a Diashow the slide presentation featured images from 1968 to 1998 and was quite the historical record of Berlin before and after the wall coming down. And it was fab to see images of a young Wieland, Zazie De Paris, Mabel, Andreas Bernhardt, the members of London's Blue Lips and the USA's Hot Peaches, as well as the young handsome Rosa von Praunheim, and a ravishing teenage Marc Brandenburg. It was also lovely hearing the stories of Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus and Kiki Petersen when they were young film curators just starting out in Kreuzberg in the early 1990s. In all it was quite a remarkable intimate evening where fans of Wieland could get up close and personal with the film programming star and legendary Berlin cineaste.
The wonderful avant garde designer Rick Owens sent me a treasure trove of his new designs from Paris for me to wear at my West of Rome/Getty Pacific Standard Time performance piece. Included in the giant package that was fedexed to me was a remarkable pair of Owens wedge heals in his signature geodesic design
I am going to be one insanely stylish hiefer when I host the West of Rome Trespass Party Fundraiser on Oct 3rd at Union Station and in Jan, 2012 for my own piece that closes the Pacific Standard Time Getty event. Thank you ever so Rick Owens for hooking me up--- you are the best pal a gal ever had.

SENSENMANN AUF SEELENJAGD
Did a magnificent interview with Dr. Gavin Butt of Goldsmith College for Performance Matters. Dr. Butt flew all the way from London to film the Vagimule Doll. We had a lovely time in the Cheese Endique Trifecta gossiping and cackling like two Sloan Ranger school girls. Later in the early evening I met Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim for Christ Jesus at the Arsenal for the Wieland Speck Spectacular. What a grand evening it turned out to be. Hanging out with us was Manuel Schubert of Filmhighlights Magazine. His interview with me and Wieland is now up and running and here is the link:
filmhighlights-Spezial - Ein Nachmittag mit Wieland Speck by filmanzeiger
The Arsenal was SRO for that beautiful man known as Wieland Speck. Wieland and sexy chanteuse Zazie De Paris along with Joel Gibb and trombone player Jan Schade sang the song West of the Wall from the Spielfilm WESTLER von Wieland Speck 1985 to get everyone in the mood. A video installation is set up in the foyer of the filmhaus as well as the Rote Foyer and Black Box. After several speeches by Rosa von Praunheim, Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus and Herr Speck himself there was a screening of some lecher short subjects by Wieland and others from the early
80s to early 90s. One of the films featured Debora Iyall of Romeo Void filmed in San Francisco in 1980 and i was shocked to see a young hunky Andreas Bernhaerdt in several of the films. Andreas was once a top make-up artist in Paris in the 1990s whose beauty was captured by Pierre & Gilles. Andreas did my make-up for CHEAP's It Happened to Me and the first CHEAP Silvester Party in 2006 with my art band Ruth Fischer. One early film that Wieland stars in by director Christoph Eichhorn is like a silent and is hilarious. My fav of the short subjects was a party film by Mr. Speck where a bunch of gnarly fags are sitting around eating, drinking and chit chatting while two twinks get down and dirty.
Also seen at the retrospectacle: Joel Gibb, Enrico Dallman, Kiki Peterson, Angela Melitoupoulous, Elsa of Portugal, Angela Anderson, DJane Olga Damnitz, Nanna Heidenreich, John Edward Heys, Johan Hick, Uli Ziemons, Wilhelm Hein, Annette Frick, Ellen von Unwerth, Todd Sekular, and Tobias Rauscher and his hot new honey.
Rosa von Praunheim was looking quite fetching in his hot pink outfit with matching pink leider hat. Rosa introduced me to two strapping young actor/producers Frank Christian Marx who is related to the famous philosopher and Udo Lutz with the company Ente Kross Films whose new production Maenner Zum Knutschen will be released early next year directed by Jurgen Hirsh. The more muscular of the two men had co-starred in the film Don II with Shah Rukh Khan who is the biggest movie star in the known and unknown world who makes little Tom Cruise look like a bit player.

TWO WEEKS IN A SMALL TOWN
The wonderful young black professor Dr. Tavia Nyong’o who teaches performance studies at NYU and has been living in Berlin on sabbatical took me to dinner at the Kreuzberg Mexican restaurant Santa Maria and interviewed me about my art work and curatorial projects. Like President Obama, Tavia has a Kenyan father and white American mother. Also like President Obama, Tavia has a calm, serene manner bordering on catatonic. He is also well hung. Not that I have seen his penis or the presidents myself, but the Vagimule doll has her Stasi spies who are everywhere feeding her gossip and important up-to-the-minute information. There are those who do not like or appreciate gossip, saying it is boring and useless. Don’t listen to these inane individuals and tepid lost souls. As my late mother would say, “Some of us aren’t able”. Gossip is a necessary part of the human experience, it informs and expands our horizons and is the one true living, thriving and endless archive.
My LA visitors Hector Martinez and his lover Ericla Pierce have continued their holiday on the continent by going to Prague. It was nice hosting them at the Cheese Endique Trifecta. Thank god both of them are only 5 foot nothings or there would be hardly any room in my tiny art studio. After Prague where I am sure Senor Martinez will delight in having an audience with as many Bel Ami models as he can muster the couple will venture to Vienna, Austria for a few days. Back in 2005 when I was invited to the Steirischer Herbst Festival in Graz, Austria I brought back to Hector and Ericla some pumpkin seed oil from Styria which they are now addicted to. I’m sure they will have a few bottles in tow upon returning to Berlin before heading back to Los Ang.

WIR HABEN KEINE ANGST
One Flaming Day in a Rented World eventa at Arsenal was beyond fabulous starting off with a rooftop garden autograph signing and birthday celebration for superstar Mario Montez. Not even the torrential downpour could put a damper on things or dull the taste of a delish birthday cake designed by Susanne Sachsse who also styled the Warhol legend for the festive occasion. La Montez was looking quite fetching and every bit of the underground royal that she is. Seen getting autographs the love sexy Carolla Grauman of Cinematek Asta Nielsen in Frankfurt,Angela Melitopolous, Wilhelm Hein, Annette Frick,Manuel Schubert, Evie Ruesseler who has a new brilliant tome out on bbooks imprint that I can’t wait to read called The Recompensationists, Trixie Cordua, Nanna Heidenreich, Uli Ziemons, Darryl Els, Salome Gersh, Elsa Aleluia, John Edward Heys, Zazie de Paris, Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus,Daniel Hendrickson, the Jewish Muslim for Christ Jesus, Piero Bellomo, Michaela Wunsch of bbooks kollective whose son is now 3 years old, Nazli Kilerci and The Greek, neophyte curator Todd Sekular who some think is a dimunitive doppelganger for Marc Siegel, but now that I have had a good look at him he doesn’t resemble Mr. Siegel at all, and model/musician Charlotte Kemp Muhl and her date Sean Lennon who was taking a signed autograph of Senorita Montez to his mother Yoko Ono for her birthday.
Later the festivities continued with a screening of I Shot Jack Two by Uzi Parnes and Ela Troyana that wowed the crowd and an interview and film clip session with Marc Siegel and Mario Montez that featured a screening of Ron Rice’s avant garde classic Chumlum (1964) Taking in this juicy spectacle: NYU Professor Tavia Nyongo, with young students Sebastian Luhmeier, Brandon Jacob-Jenkins and Australian scholar Damon Young, art shtar Ming Wong.
Scott the personable blondine husband of Uzi Parnes told me he would like to move to Berlin. Mario Montez and his longtime companion Dave will be in Berlin for a month. Mario and film historian Mark Siegel are also working on a book together. Dave told me that his 30 year old son use to be a regular at my 1920s performance art club Bricktops at the Parlour Club in Hollywood. Djane and all around girl who can do anything and everything Olga Damnitz was at the wine reception at the CHEAP Gossip Studio circular bar along with those Turin Film Festival queens, plus Tobias Rauscher of Sissy Magazine, French fashion designer Julien Fournie’, filmmaker Kiki Petersen, with Judy LaBruce producer Jurgen Bruning& Klaus from Wurst Films, filmmaker Matthias Mueller, Senol Senturk my co-director with the X-Schulen piece Tony Montana Riding the Valkyries, Frau Cheetum and writer Manfred Hermes, whose new Fassbinder book just received a glowing review in the German periodical Taz by the great teutonic journalista and scholar Dedrich Dedrichson.
On a sad note just got word that Milly the last remaining member of the musical group The Del Rubio Triplets died. I will never forget when she, and her siblings performed at the Afro Sisters Too Much Make-up Party at the home of Fertile La Toyah Jackson photographer Beulah Love back in the 1980s. That party was a hot sensation that featured stars like Jayne County, Glen Meadmore, Italian designer Marina Spadafora and her then husband Sean Ferrer who is the son of Audrey Hepburn, Interview Magazine photographer Albert Sanchez, Abel Villareal, Ghislain de la Felaise, model Tony Ward,TV commercial stylist Michi,Wanda the Man, Salvador, Juan Fernandez, movie makeup artist Michele Buhler, Jeff Judd, Iris Parker & Valerie of Madame X, actress Amy Wright with dinge queen actor Michael Anthony Hall who was macking on Iris' cute mulatto boyfriend, members of the Ska bands Section Eight and a newly formed No Doubt with a young Gwen Stefani before she and that group made the cross over to the big time, and a social climbing Lypsinka aka: John Epperson who left early because there was no one she thought was famous enough at the party.

ARSCHKALT
Hector Martinez, my old friend from the post punk days of the 1980s who is now an executive with Affleck Insurance and his lover Eric Pierce are visiting me from Los Angeles. We went to Hassir the Turkish restaurant chain in Nollendorky Platz walked around the K-Damn and had a drink at tired Tom’s Bar before heading back to the Cheese Endique Trifecta so the boys could get some sleep from their jet lag. In the morning we had coffee and pastries from a little Turkish bakery around the corner from my studio. Unfortunately it is pouring rain today, which certainly puts a damper on their tourist activities. Oh welpsis that is summer in Berlin.
Marc Siegel sent the latest CHEAP mailing list notice and I copy it directly:
Dear CHEAP Friends, Less than two years ago, we Berliners had the great privilege of witnessing the first public appearance in over thirty-five years of the first and greatest Superstar of the New York Underground, Mario Montez. That was LIVE FILM! JACK SMITH! Five Flaming Days in a Rented World. In just two days, on Saturday, July 30 at the Arsenal in Berlin, Mario Montez will be back receiving guests on the rooftop terrace at Sony Center! Don't miss this special opportunity to mingle with the legendary darling of the underground! This is One Flaming Day in a Rented World. At 5pm, we will celebrate Mario's recent birthday and the Superstar will provide autographs for his fans! At 7 pm we will be in Kino Arsenal 1 for Ela Troyano and Uzi Parnes' gorgeous LIVE FILM presentation I SHOT JACK TWO, a 60 minute multi-media homage to Jack Smith including rare film footage, sound recordings and photos of Smith taken by his former collaborators Parnes and Troyano. The evening will conclude with THE SUPERSTAR ON THE SILVER SCREEN, an informal tour through Mario Montez's career on film, with many clips of his known and unknown film appearances, commented on by the LEGEND himself, in conversation with yours truly and in dialogue with YOU, the people! Yes, One Flaming Day in a Rented World presents a rare opportunity for all of us to pose questions to the Superstar about his film appearances, his theater career, his glamor, his charm. Don't miss it! (see attached flyer for more info). One Flaming Day in a Rented World, Sat. July 30, Arsenal 5pm Rooftop Terrace: Autograph Session and Birthday Celebration 7pm Kino Arsenal: I SHOT JACK TWO by Ela Troyano and Uzi Parnes, followed by: THE SUPERSTAR ON THE SILVER SCREEN: MM in conversation with moi and vous about his film career, with many rare clips! AND...VERY IMPORTANT... *Vaginal Davis' Rising Stars, Falling Stars, Friday, July 29, 9pm. Arsenal, Potsdamerstr. 2 Just because it takes place every month, doesn't mean that Vaginal Davis' Rising Stars, Falling Stars is an any less special, flaming, or necessary event! Indeed, the monthly regularity of Miss Davis's silent movie event comforts many of us in these cold summer months. Miss D's perspectives on film and fancy are not to be taken for granted! Tomorrow, Friday, July 29, she treats us to a feminist master class with Germaine Dulac's 1923 experimental treasure La Souriante Madame Beudet.
TUNTEN UND TECHNIK
Spent a wonderful morning starting at 9am sharp being interviewed by Sleek Magazine’s lovely Hili Perlson a personable young journalista with an intriguing family background in that her father is Polish and her mother Iraqi/Israeli. We clicked immediately, which doesn’t always happen with members of the mainstream media.
Sleek Magazine is a Berlin based art/fashion glossy that is in English and German and has become much more interesting then Zoo Magazine which I use to write for under editor Rebecca Voight. The photographer taking my portrait - Belaid Le Mharchi was a cute boy with fine features from Morroco. We also immediately developed a nice repoire. The issue featuring “The Doll” should hit the stands in September.
Have some more prep work for Commie Biggie then I have to clean the Cheese Endique Trifecta to get it ready for visiting dignitaries from the states namely Hector Martinez and his lover Eric Pierce, who arrive tomorrow morning. They are only in Berlin for a short time then will go to Prague and Vienna.

BRAUT ALARM
Had a delightful breakfast with Daniel “Mae Cheetum” Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim and his lover Piero Bellomo at the Turkish boite Elit Simit on Karl Marx Strassse in Rix Dorf. We walked off our bountiful breakfast through the charming Koetner Park which has groomed grounds that remind me of a miniature Versailles garden. The love sexy couple were laughing at my lack of technical skills when it comes to anything computer related. “Faggots and Technology don't mix” is a wise saying that Piero always sez. Everything sounds better when Piero says it in German.
Later Daniel helped me send some photos from my website to New York to be used for a T - shirt design campaign for the MIX Festival. I also got a cute note from Joe E Jeffrey’s about it being the birthday week of Ethyl Eichelberger. I won the Ethyl Eichelberger Art Award in 2009 and mounted by piece Vaginal Davis is Speaking From the Diaphragm in 2010 at PS 122.
After a juicy morning with Daniel & Piero I went to the Rix Dorf compound of Joel Gibb the Baby Diaper of the music and art kollective The Hidden Cameras for luncheon. Joel had just been on a mini summer tour of festivals in Italy, Austria and the UK that was quite successful. His next shows in Berlin are on August 18th for the Ueberlebenskunst Festival at Haus of World Cultures on their Post Alles Stage and on September 18th at Cafe Rix's Heimat Hafen.
In London Joel Gibb hung out with Stuart Comer of the Tate Modern. Mr. Comer is bringing me to the Tate Oct 29th where I will perform my expanded cinema event Memory Island. Joel accompanied Stuart Comer to the Manchester Festival to see the Life and Death of Marina Abramovic which is directed by Robert Wilson and features my good friend the performance artist Kira O’Reilly. Joel also was invited by Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys to see them open up for the Take That reunion at Wembley Stadium. He was also treated to bruncheon at the Saatchi Gallery Restaurant by the Pet Shop Boys where they each had a yummy “Constance” salad. Joel also went to see the new piece by my dear sister of the clothe Justin Vivian Bond at the SoHo Theatre.
If that isn’t enough and it isn’t, there was a survey of his felt art objects called The Visual Art of Joel Gibb at the Residence Gallery at 229 Victoria Park Road. The exhibition continues until July 31st so if you are in London go see it! Also check out his web site for his band at www.Thehiddencameras.com
Ended the evening with the beautiful Mr. Gibb and his hot humpy east German lover Enrico Dallman at the Asian fusion/French Indochine restaurant in KreuzKoelln Jimmy Woo, located at Friedelstr 24. The staff was very sweet and accomodating to us, it was crowded so it took a while to get the food, but once it was there I scarfed it down in a hot minute. This was my first time at Jimmy Woo's, I ordered the Chicken Rosoto which was amazing, and I can't wait to go back.

DIE ANONYMEN ROMANTIKER
The Great portrait painter Lucian Freud died age 88. I was introduced to him by Leigh Bowery in the early 1990s. He had painted Leigh many times and he wanted to paint me, but since I didn’t live in the UK spending the many weeks and or months necessary for posing nude for him was an impossibility. At the time I didn’t really care for his work, thinking only about how his paintings weren’t exactly flattering. Well what can I say, I am a vain lady.
Before I moved to Berlin I posed for the famous painter and exlover of writer Christopher Isherwood- Don Bachardy and didn’t really care for the results, though I think he is wonderful and I adore many of his other portraits.
Its embarrassing to admit that it took me quite awhile to appreciate the work of Lucian Freud. Now I adore his portraits of Leigh Bowery, Jerri Hall, Kate Moss and Queen Elizabeth. Mr. Freud was born in Berlin but lived for most of his life in the UK. He is the grandson of Sigmund Freud who also had an addiction to cocaine and morphine. Ueber coca! I will never forget sharing a sherm with Mr. Freud. For the uninitiated a sherm is a cig dipped in PCP.
Here is the latest radio interview with Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Magazine. Enjoy and tell me what you think:

I have some ill fans. Got an emug of love and devotion from a 17 year old East Asian lad who is a 7 foot tall basketball player named Sim Bhullar. From his picture he is very cute, but way too young for this diva.

DIE FRAU NACH DER MAN SICH SEHNT
Was looking at Rudy Bleu’s regular blog post on celebrity birthdays and noticed that David Bernardi just celebrated his forty something. David is a big time perfect Hollywood executive with Imagine films the company that produces for director Ron Howard and partner Brian Glatzer. In the photo of David accompanying the blog post he looked like a hot, muscular and very humpy daddy. I had met David many years ago through my very good friend and patron Norman Ghoulsen aka Norman von Holtzendorf who is now a big time lawyer based in Washington DC. David was always gregarious and friendly and was not the usual icky successful Hollywood type. He has a great sense of humour, is well read, impeccably groomed with fantastic taste in fashion and art, and from what I remember had a thing for beefy Latino boys. Who doesn’t - yum. Now he is in a relationship I hear with a juicy Italian/Native American.
The pictorial of him on the blog was borrowed from a New York Times Magazine article about his home in Silverlake that received a makeover design from artist/architect Fritz Haeg. Fritz Haeg who I only know casually lives in a geodesic dome of his own design in the hills overlooking East LA. Herr Haeg also hosts a series of queer events and a regular salon at his hillside property. The Bernardi home was built in 1917 and the redesign features a unique latice fascade and throughout the property there is brilliant use of color.
My mother use to work as a domestic for movie stars like Alan Ladd when she first came to California during the Great Migration of blacks from the south in the
1940s. She would always snicker that white people love their interiors and exteriors to be the same color as themselves. Not the case with the lovesexy David Bernardi.

Yesterday on my way to Susanne Sachsse’s dinner party I ran into cute Chinese American DJ Daniel Wang on the S-Bahn. Mr. Wang has been living in Berlin for quite sometime. I first became acquainted with him in Chicago through Steve LeFreniere and the homocore art and music clique that Steve ruled over in that city during the early 1990s.
After rehearsing and brainstorming for our new piece The Communist Bigamist-Two Love Stories La Sachsse cooked one of her famous feasts that featured a wilde mutton salad with edible flowers, and two kinds of resotto-shasaki mushroom and pink beets. Beyond delicious! Enjoying the famous Sachsse table Commie Biggie lighting designer Jackie Chemish just in from London, kJohnny Blue, Nazli Kilerci, Daniel Hendrickson, Marc Siegel, Richard Gersh(Susanne’s teenage son) and his best boyfriend Jacob, and Saskia the preggers girlfriend of video artist Yael Bartana.
The other evening at the Cheese Endique Trifecta, Film Highlights radio presenter Manuel Schubert interviewed handsome Berlinale honcho Wieland Speck who will be having a retro- spectacle of his illustrious film career at the Arsenal in August. Herr Speck and I will present a special Rising Stars, Falling Stars on Aug 20th screening the first gay film Anders als die Anderen (Different From the Others) 1919 Directed by Richard Oswald featuring Conrad Veidt, Anita Berber and Dr. Magnus Hirschfield. Live musical accompanyment is by the divine Eunice Martin.
August 3rd is the opening night festivities for the Wieland Speck retro spectacle that includes not only films directed by him but those that are influences like Rosa von Praunheim’s It is not the Homosexual who is Perverse. . . and The Boys in the Band 1970. As part of the grand opening Herr Speck will sing with sexy French chanteuse Zazie De Paris and Joel Gibb of The Hidden Cameras.
I can’t wait to see his classic 1985 film Westler which I have heard so many wonderful things about.

LOTHAR AND THE HAND PEOPLE
Just had a long conversation via Skype with my longtime best girlfriend Ms. Glen Meadmore who just came back to LA after a triumphant performance called Glenda’s Hideaway at the Spotlight-Paris which is the fashionista nitespot created by Michele Lamy,Marc Zaffuto,Emmanule D’Orazio and designer Rick Owens that brings a little bit of sleazy Los Ang to the famed city of lightsis. Ms. Meadmore returned to being a sister of the clothe donning drag attire for the first time in over 20 years. Of course she was outfitted in haute couture Rick Owens with makeup by Sandrine and Stefan. She was put up in style at the Bourgogne Montana Hotel and taken out for sumptuous meals next door at the Le Bour Bon which sits conveniently next to the Owens Atelier in the chicest part of Paris. Besides performing Ms. Meadmore was the star of an excluvive editorial photo shoot for Man About Town Magazine the London based art periodical which will also feature photos of Lady Meadmore’s John Wayne Gacy collection. Yes the famed serial killer painted one of a kind portraits of Ms. Meadmore which are so frightening and creepy that even someone as mad as the mad Ms. Meadmore had to remove the paintings from her walls as they were too scary and put out bad vibes. Glen’s spread in the magazine was photographed by Asha Mines aka: CoCo who is now a top fashion photog.
The Spotlight Paris is at the restaurant Chez Francoise inside the Air France Building at 2 Rue Fabert and featured New York tranny fashion personality That Connie Girl as the gatekeeper and Honey Dijon behind the wheels of steel. All of Paris came out to check out the gentle giantessa with some international luminaries like British designer Gareth Pugh who is being heralded as the baby Rick Owens of the fashion world who started his career as an Owens intern, DJ and art photog with the WoWoW Kollective Matthew Stone, Helene Hazera the tranny journalist and activist, Alaura O’Dell aka Paula P-Orridge with her daughter Genesse, Jan Klesse of the hot German rock band Tenderloin, and Scarlette Rouge the artist daughter of Michele Lamy.
Rick Owens is so famous and wealthy that he is going to buy a small island off of Venice, Italy that use to be a military base as a private getaway. Sounds very Elizabeth Taylor in Boom. Glen Meadmore had a blast and on his last day in Paris Michele and Rick took him to the Claude Cahun exhibit.
On a sad note Jeff Judd the longtime best friend of Rick Owens who would curate the music selection for his fashion shows has suffered a stroke and is in recovery relearning to speak. Jeff Judd is one of the most talented people I know. He is a dynamic makeup, graphic arts designer and illustrator and use to even do drag in the 1980s as a chanteuse called Joli. Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery.
Ms. Meadmore whose day job is the limo driver to the shtars has also been having a riotous love affair with blue movie studkin Jock Hudson. The casual romance between the beautiful Ms. Meadmore and the hunky model ended decades of celibacy for the famed lady. Its so good to hear that she is climbing up the tree and getting her proverbial gnut. She deserves it.
O just a little background information. I have known Michele Lamy,(the wife, muse and collaborator with Rick Owens) since the late 1970s when she had a store on Santa Monica Blvd called Too Soon to Know. No one looked like her during that time. I was mesmerized by her and would walk by the store staring at her. One day she caught me and said, why don’t you stop walking by and come in and say hello. In those days I use to dress up quite a bit, and she was attracted to people who had an unusual style not unlike herself. She was married to filmmaker and performance artist Richard “Touch a Penis” Newton. I use to babysit their daughter Scarlette Rouge who was such a spoiled brat, but later turned into a wonderful child, and now is a hot young artist. In the mid 1980s Michele had her own clothing line that was very successful. One time I insulted her by saying that her clothes would be in every mall in America and she banned me from her studio with an imperious “Get Out!” Lamy Eyewear her families business has been around for almost two centuries. Jackie O wore Lamy sunglasses. Michele’s sister is a famous Mrs. AIDs doctor who treated Rock Hudson. Michele in the 1960s worked for Jean Luc Goddard, and studied with philosopher Gilles Deleuze. She even practiced law as a defence attorney. At the highpoint of her design sportwear label in the mid 80s she funded her husband Richard Newton’s many art projects including a stage and film version of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House that featured Nancye Furgeson, the wife of Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo as Nora, Brian Doyle Murray, the brother of Bill Murray as Torvald along with Glen Meadmore and I. Rick Owens worked for Michele as a pattern maker for her Lamy Men sexy men’s line back in those days.

In the morning before rushing off to Commie Biggie rehearsal I did an interview with Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Internet Radio Magazine. We talked about my Feminist Seperatist celebration which will feature a screenong of Germaine Dulac’s La Souriante Madame Beudet (1923) that will screen at Rising Stars, Falling Stars on Friday July 29th at 9pm at Kino Arsenal 2 at the Sony Film Haus in Potsdamer Platz with The Blue Brothers playing live music. Herr Schubert is a delightful and sharp young cineaste. He had me laughing uncontrollably when he told me about attending a press screening of Cam Archer’s Shit Year with Ellen Barkin.

DIARREA PEARLMAN
My painting of Peter Sewally the 19th Century transgendered black prostitute of the Five Corners area of Manhattan is in a group show called Pop-up SoHo in a pop up museum. NYU performance studies professor Tavia Nyongo is also involved and below is a link:

Dear Friends,
Thanks to all who made it to the opening of The Mobility Project last month and who have seen it since then. Installation and opening night photos from the exhibition are now online here and you can see a review of the exhibition by Doireann O'Malley (with links to video and sound) on This is Tomorrow here.
The show runs at Galerie Suvi Lehtinen for just one more week, so if you haven't managed to see it yet, this is your chance. The Finnisage takes place on Saturday July 23rd from 19.00h.
On Wednesday 20th July at 19.00h a panel discussion is taking place in the gallery. Confirmed participants are (exhibiting artists) Enda O'Donoghue, Kerstin Honeit and Sophia New & Dan Belasco Rogers / plan b, plus invited speakers Kym Ward and Miriam Steinhauser. The discussion will be chaired by myself and Suvi Lehtinen. With particular emphasis on Berlin, topics to be discussed include:
Mobility in the Art World; Bi-City or Multi-City living & working; Mobility & Solitude and Mobility & Collaboration.
It would be great to have you there and we welcome your participation! A series of specially commissioned prints by the artists in the show will also be launched on this day, for sale at the gallery and later online.
Next confirmed venue for the exhibition is The Meter Room in Coventry, UK, where, in November, The Mobility Project will settle for a few weeks.
It would be great to see you at one or other stop along the way!
Best wishes, Elly

LA COQUILLE ET LE CLERGYMAN
Working on The Communist Bigamist-Two Love Stories also affectionately known as Commie Biggie has been a dream come true. Every moment has been filled with laughter and inspiration. Susanne Sachsse is a writer and director who knows what she wants to do and goes about it in such an exciting manner ripe with discovery and laden with joy. Add to the mix gorgeous Nazli Kilerci and sweet little kJohnny Blue and it is divinely over the top. One day Nazli and Susi came over and we went through a treasure trove of my memorabilia and photos to find things that represent my Afro Sisters period of the 1980s which will be transposed on to this new performance piece. I also contacted my Afro Sister Clitoris Turner aka: Bud Thomas who works for the One Institute Gay & Lesbian Archive in Los Angeles to see if he has some old press photos and images from Afro Sisters shows in the 1980s and he does, but will need to have them scanned. The other day was filled with brainstorming that went into the wee hours, but we took time out for a scrumptious dinner prepared by La Sachsse that was healthy and nutritious. Susi also delighted us with photos she discovered at her grandmother’s house of her first marriage, where she looks like a child bride of 12 or 13. It was great to see her various looks over the years, from hockey playing tomboy to sophisticated proto punque waif, and married lady of East German theatre with adorable newborn twins. I love old family photos, and it doesn’t matter that I don’t know the people I am looking at. Somehow their histories are transferred into my being just by looking and touching.
O I got an email from a friend in the states with children who asked me my opinion of the last Harry Potter film. Several months back I attended a sneak screening, but never wrote anything about it as I don’t write in my blogina everything that I do. The star of the Harry Potter films Daniel Radcliffe came to my performance/installation Speaking From the Diaphragm in New York last year, and he is a cute little tranny chaser. I also saw the ginger boy Rupert Grint in person at the Berlinale two years ago when he appeared in an Irish teen drama for the Generations section of the festival and he is quite yummy with beautiful shiny skin. Over the ten years of the franchise I have watched a few of the films when invited to screenings for press people, and I don’t remember which movie but one of the early ones seemed way too scary for very young children and so loud with a peril at every turn. The dark moodyness of the set pieces just seemed overbearing to me along with Helena Bonnom Carter's shrill witchypooness. The last installment is very dark indeed but with no buildup of suspense or dynamic whatsoever. After the first five minutes I wanted to leave the theatre, but I would have missed out on the free dinner, drinks and gift bags so I stayed. Someone smart in Hollywoodland. I forget there is no one smart in Hollywood. Well someone should make a franchise out of L.Frank Baum’s Oz books from 1900-1919. They were the Harry Potter of their day and spun silent films directed by the author himself in Hollywood. Perhaps CK Rowlings should have directed her own books. I think she would have done a betterjob.
Baum was a complete super freak and his children’s books included teenage girl revolutionaries, existentially depressed dragons and sex change princesses.
Friday night I Djaned at the Search & Destroy Party at Schwuz Club. Its been almost a year since the last time I spinned records there with Joel Gibb and Judy LaBruce. Professor Jennifer Doyle was in town covering the Women’s Football Championships as she has almost a second career as a reporter and theorist on women’s sporting issues and concerns. Early in the day we celebrated her birthday at the Mexican boite Santa Maria and she told me lots of hot gossip and little known facts about women’s soccer. I am not a sports fan in the least but she makes it all very interesting, so much so that she has been a regular feature of NPR and other national and international radio programs making astute comments and observation.
Here are a few tidbits she told me:
been in Europe since mid-June. I was in the stands for the semi-final of the WWC last night. My god, women soccer players are so hot.
Here's some delishious boi's and high-femmes for your blog cast-----
Louisa Necib (GORGEOUS)
Sonia Bompastor (hot sports dyke surely)
Marie-Laure Delie (slinky, "maline")
Megan Rapinoe (no idea if she's gay or not but she has a fantastic look)
Abby Wambach (US star, for good reason, and I might be in love with her)
Hope Solo - Glamazon. Men hold up signs asking for her hand in marriage. Perfect evidence that men basically want to be dominated. She is quite clearly a top of the highest order.
The celebrations for Dr. Doyle continued in the smoking Queer Lantern Lounge of Search&Destroy. I was supposed to DJ with Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras but he had to cancel at the last minute because of a festival gig in Milan, so I had Aussie Axel of Team Plastique be my co-DJ. Axel is a spirited good time Charley and boyfriend to one of my talented Weissensee Art Academy students Joana Coppi who is also a Djane. I spun the early shift and Axel took over for the late crowd who usually just want to bop up and down to techno so they can ride their drug highs. A nice crowd came out including Djane Olga Damnitz, bbooks associate Torsten, Brazilian lovers Mario and Karim (the director of the film Madame Sata), Tavia Nyong’o of NYU’s Performance Studies Department, Croatian scholar Sasha Vukadinovic who brought along musclebound academe David J. Getsy who is a Goldabelle McComb Finn Distinguished Professor of Art History Dept of Art History, Theory, and Criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Dr. Getsy would like me to make a return to the Chicago Art Institute, someplace I haven’t been at since the late 90s when I did a series of performances and workshops with students. Also enjoying the evening of queer possibilities: Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim of Neu Koelln with his designer boyfriend Piero Bellomo of La Collecione, Montenegro Journalist Tanja Pancevic with a Yugaslav posse, British artist James Richard Hancock, actress Franka Potenta with actors Max Riemelt & August Diehl, fagademic Sean Nye who leaves Berlin soon to teach in Minneapolis, David of Jamaica the former lover of CHEAP kollective’s Tim Blue. David has lived in Berlin for over 20 years and use to be a concert pianist. He was dancing up a storm with a funloving gal pal,the brothers Casiraghi- Pierre & Andrea the grandchildren of Princess Grace of Monaco who were with Pierre Sarkozy the DJ son of the French president and a huge international posse of youth quaking celebutantes. Twenty seven year old Andrea Casiraghi came up to me in the DJ both asking about my musical selections like Brian Eno’s “Needle in the Camel’s Eye” Karen Young’s “Hot Shot” and the Pointer Sister’s “Going Down Slowly” which never fails to get the crowd in a dry hump mood. I told the young royal that I would love to walk barefoot through his full head of shiny hair and he and his brother took photos with me.
It was lovely seeing my pretty and wonderful Malmo Art Academy Swedish student Maria Norrman with her dapper boyfriend Eddie Svärd, No one requested Lady GaGa thank god, but I did get several people asking me to play tired Madonna and some corporate hip hop. I had a good time, and Mischa the booker at Schwuz is always sweet, and so are the staff at the club including one of the veteranos who got excited when I played Joan Armatrading.
My hot date for the evening was my bandmate in Tenderloin the lovesexy Jan Klesse who was in town to celebrate the birthday of Felix Knoke who is also in Tenderloin and Felix's beautiful girlfriend Joana. Both Felix & Joana were born on the same day.
Jan is so dear buying his doll dinner and helping her crate her record collection to the club. We left Schwuz at around 5am and Jan was there making sure that no mashers took advantage of me. It was nice having a big strong, muscular and masculine young man spending the evening with me and staying the night. It was like a slumber party. The next day we slept in till past noon which is unusual for me and had breakfast at Cafe Berio at Nollendorky Platz where they have this very friendly tall tranny waitress. Later we parted as i had Commie Biggie rehearsal and he was going spend time with Felix and Joana.

DRACULA IN PAKISTAN
Had breakfast with Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim at the Turkish boite Vadi on Karl Marx Strasse Friday morning before we headed to kJohnny Blue’s recording studio in Kreuzkoelln to work on Commie Biggie with Susi Su and Nazli. Daniel and I recorded bill&coo sounds for our big love scene in the piece where my character makes mincemeat of Communisms tiny sphincter.
For you devoted fanatics who have been following my internet radio broadcasts with Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Magazine. Please click on the link below for Manuel’s new blogina with all the pod sounds we have recorded and other giblets.

O and I received this email from Berlin artist Liz Rosenfeld:
Dear Friends,
As many of you know, I have been spending the last year and half working on my film- triptych, " Surface Tension," which looks at moments in the lives of three- female artists ( Anita Berber, Hannah Höch, and Leni Riefenstahl) who lived during the Weimar Period in Berlin. With the donations and help of my amazing international and local community of friends and colleagues, I have successfully been able to complete Frida & Anita ( already screened at The Tate Modern, The British Film Institute, and Moviemento in Berlin) and most recently have completed the pre- production and shooting for the second film in this series HÖCH (currently in the editing process.) I want to thank you all for your previous support for the first two films in the series.
We are slated to film the third and final piece in the series, Die Neue Frau, a constructed " uncovered" real of Third Reich filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl's home movies revealing an ambiguous relationship she may or may not have had with Eva Braun, Hitler's mistress. Die Neue Frau takes place in 1933 ( the last official year of The Weimar Republic) and tracks the transition of Berlin from decadence into fascism.
We are slated to film in early August, but must meet our funding goal in order to be able to afford the film stock and post- production costs. I would be extremely grateful if you could take a moment to read more about this project, and consider our fundraising campaign: http://www.indiegogo.com/Die-Neue-Frau.
Sending Love and Many Wishes from Berlin,
Liz --

O and the baby diaper of the Hidden Cameras that gorgeous male creature known the world over as Joel Gibb just posted his new video he directed ala the old Hollywood film musical helmer Stanley Donen. Check it out here: http://vimeo.com/25775173 and let me know what you think.
This little emug from love camel, Andrea Novarin in London:
Oh Doll, the camel had the most horrible experience of his humped life. I went to a kinky night called Collared that used to be fine a few months ago. But this time, I felt like Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner or Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now when they mention they have witnessed the horror, the horrors. There were no more than 20 people. Amongst them: a young chubby queen in a harness dancing horribly to Lady Gaga, an old skinny thing with a hairy back and a raven colored toupee; an even older obese black man in a white g string probably bought from Lidl for 99 pence; an octogenarian clone of Peter Murphy from Bauhaus with spikey hair and the smell of hairspray coming from him that was permeating the entire club. It was like a freak show, in the worst possible way. It was revulsion therapy! I managed to stay 25 minutes just to finish my drink but wanted to leave after 5!!!!! I almost wanted to be amongst all the Nosferatus and Nosferitas of Berlin instead!! Kissy

Big peniled writer Travis Jeppeson also emailed me that he is in Beijing on a fellowship with German artist Christian Schoeler till August. I had contacted Travis to see if he could book a performer from Austin Texas at Pork@ Ficken 3000 as a favour to designer Rick Owens. Rick Owens and his ladylove and muse Michele Lamy have brought the charms of the lowrent dive bar The Spotlight to Paris, and have recreated the famed Hollywood Blvd hole-in-the-wall for the Gallic conneisseur. Glen Meadmore just did a show at The Spotlight-Paris, and its actually a fab idea as the city of light is in much need of new nightlife additives.

LESEN LASSEN
Monday we started Communist Bigamist-Two Love Stories rehearsals. Well we aren’t actually rehearsing but putting together the multi media sections of the new piece Communist Bigamist that I am collaborating on with the divine Susanne Sachsse of CHEAP kollective. This new project is based on the 1950s film The Bigamist starring Joan Fontaine, Ida Lupino and Edmund O’Brian that was directed by Miss Lupino. In our version Susi and I play Ruth Fischer and Angela Davis who are both married to Communism which will be represented on stage by light and sound. As Angela Davis, Communism and I adopt the Black Panthers while married to Ruth Fischer Communism has a biological child that takes the form of Socialism. John Blue aka:kJohnny is doing the sound design, while the beautiful Nazli Kilerci who is half Turkish half Kurdish is the production assistant. The sets will be designed by Nebojsa Tabacki who designed Stofel, the CHEAP kollectives children’s piece at the Parkaue Theatre. The lighting is by Jackie Shemesh the Israeli lighting designer who works with international art shtar Yael Bertrana and lives in London. The costumes will be designed by Jacob Lena Knebl of Vienna’s Tanzquartier. Makeup and hair will be created by that fashion powerhouse - the gorgeous Tan Binh Nguyen who designed the makeup for CHEAP Blacky in 2007 and Daddy in 2009. Tan Binh is singlehandedly taking over Fashion Week in Paris working with designer Boris Bedjian and also Commes Des Garcson. In fact Tan Binh was flying to Paris to do a photo shot with Asha Mines, who use to be Rick Owens assistant and is now one of the most in demand fashion photographers on the planet. I first met Asha when she was a student of mine at Cal Arts with Scarlette Rouge, the daughter of Michele Lamy. See how interconnected life can be.
On Monday we met at Frau Sachsse’s compound where she cooked a deliciously nutritious luncheon and we went over the script outline and watched the movie The Bigamist. Tuesday we met at Tan Binh’s spacious Kranoldplatz flat for make-up tests and Wednesday at Jurgen Brunnings Wurst Film studio on the Haupt Strasse where we started photographing the elaborate projections that will be part of the performance piece with lighting help by Jurgen’s editor Michael. Nazli took the photos. The 50s era pulp fiction detective novel adverts were our inspiration and TB beat a flawless face on the doll that left everyone in utter hysteria.
Later I met up with Ms. Susi at the Veneklassen Werner Gallery at Checkpoint Charlie for a film presentation Zurueck in Die Zukuntt (Back Into the Future) by the German guru of experimental film Wilhelm Hein. The program began with the rare screenings of Kali Filme that featured a collage grouping of wit and profundity ranging from ladies in prison, women with weapons, sexploitation and the brutalities of war and death mashup ending with a lesbenisch flirtation and passionate kiss. Simply Perfect. After a short beer intermission Tim and John(kJohnny) Blue performed rivetting live music to the rarely seen W&B Hein classic Doppelprojektionen. What an evening of love it was. On hand sharing in the magic: steamy French booty pies Michel Belague and Guillaume, prima ballerina Trixi Cordua and her art/filmmaker husband Ludvig Schoenherr, art photog Annette Frick, Susanne Sachsse looking very sommer sportive, American painter Matt who will be living in Berlin for four months and whose prinzlauber flat and studio are provided for by the Veneklasen Werner galerie. Matt use to live in Neu Koelln a few years ago and I first met him through photographer Ryan McGinley at the turn of this century. He has been living back in New York, and with his gay clone beard and scraggly hair was almost unrecognizable from the cute young cleanshaven dark ginger fag I meet at Carnegie Hall in 2001. Well the last time I saw Ryan McGinley he had morphed into an Amanda Bearsely style lesbian so I guess no one ever remains the same.
Thursday Susi, Nazli and I were at kJohnny Blue’s Kreuzkoelln recording studio working on sound collages that will feature in The Communist Bigamist. It was tough work but lots of fun. We went around the corner for luncheon at the famous Kofte Boite and really chowed down.
Later in the evening I was back at the Veneklasen Werner Gallery for the second half of the Wilhelm Hein program that featured a screening of his masterwork You Killed the Underground or the Real Meaning of Kunst Bleibt Bleibt. The section featuring Susanne Sachsse and Marc Siegel fornicating with a strap-on and black double headed dildo was just so amazingly beautiful in a classically poised way. I love the color of their skin which seemed to glow and the music from Tristan & Isolde. The other scenes featuring Annette Frick in the Canary Islands was also quite lovely and with everything that Wilhelm does there is so much whimsy, humour and youthful zest and affirmative love of life. Its hard to believe that Wilhelm is now 70 years old. His spirit is that of youth personified. Among those in the audience: Prima ballerina Trixi Cordua, Nazli Kalerci and her hot Greek artist boyfriend Yorgos, Tim and kJohnny Blue, Susanne Sachsen & Marc Siegel, drag queen gallerist Juwelia, the Montgomery Gallery girlz and whordes of Hein followers both new and old. I was starving after the screening so I whisked off with Frau Sachsse and Herr Siegel for grub at Andy’s Diner in nearbye Potsdamer Platz. The food isn’t great there but its one of the few places opened late. Around Checkpoint Charlie and also at Potsdamer Platz the summer evening was producing skads of juicy scantily clad tourist boys who were a constant source of distraction to the doll.
In the morning at the Chocolate Grinder film Kollective offices I had a Skype conference call with video artist Wu and her producer Roya who is also the girlfriend of Shari Frilot the head programmer with Sundance’s New Frontiers.Shari use to be my boss at Sundance and for the Platinum Experimental Film Festival in Los Angeles. Wu is going to have me voice the Silver Platter Bar in Westlake/MacArthur Park for the majjical realness documentary film Wildness that centers on the famed art party night at the historical immigrant tranny bar in downtown Los Angeles.

NUR DAS TRANSVESTIT
Your Vagimule Davis doll is one sickly little lady. Well let me preface this announcement by saying I am a bit of a hypochondriac, but after going to the Lung Lab the other day and getting the pronouncement by the doctor that I have Asthma it was a bit of a shockerooney to be sure. It’s a mild form of asthma, but nonetheless I am reminded of my late sister´s travails with the disease, the inhaler and constant emergency room visits. Now that I have health insurance I have been on a kick to take care of all the things I couldn’t when I lived in the United Statuals. So slowly I have been having dental work done that I neglected for years and also doing up follow-up from my Henry the 8th diagnosis of gout that I received here in Berlin back in 2008. When I first moved to Germany I was going from project to project and didn’t have time do go to the doctor but now I am making time and seeing the famous Dr. Stephen Minkx who not only does western medicine but eastern as well. Will keep you informed on my health issues. Alas the decay of age.
Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim was my date for the HAU Theatre sommer party behind HAU 1 Friday evening. It was a chilly summer night, but the BBQ and alcohol kept everyone in warm spirits. Joining the CHEAP brigade of Marc Siegel, Susanne Sachsse and Salome Gersh at the picnic tables: Sexxxy Sascha Woelck, Suave Rogier one of the queer bearded Pierrot Lunaire bandits, my old crush Paul Plamper, the radio play director who was Martin Wutke´s assistant when we were working on the film LA Faustus,Brit artist Phil Collins, curator supreme Christoph Gurk who is now the ex of artist Karen Cytter, luscious Nanna Heidenreich, demure and sweet Nadja Talmi, the gracious and elegant Susanne Goris the HAU tech directrix,
Manlische HAU bossman Mattias Lianthal looking dapper and cracking jokes in a professorial sports jacket, charming Kerstin from pressabteilung,
good time Sally´s Elisabeth and Sonja spreading joy with their portable vodka shots and the divine beauty of HAU Katrin Dodd.
I had to leave early as the next day I was performing with the feminist art band Piss Göttin at Kunst Werke Inst for Contemporary Art. The goddess was surely blessing us as it poured rain the entire day guaranteeing us a soaked by spirited crowd that included Wilhelm Hein and his art photog girlfriend Annette Frick, Tim Blue, Axel & Joanna, Lydia, Susanne Sachsse, Saul the art curator from the Frankfurt Museum with his rock steady crew and handsome Japanese/Swedish filmmaker Cary Fukunaga(Jane Eyre)with his squeeze American actress Michele Williams. Mr. Fukunaga told me that I played a mean electrikkkk guitar. As my character of Senta Burma I was only making noise as I don´t know how to play any instrument. As a free jazz punk outfit we sounded better then I thought we would. It was the drum playing of Wanya aka: Neam Lhok that kept it all together, but I certainly had a wonderful time with my musical comrades Katja von Hellendorf, Cristian Forte, Sophie Heartbreakin Fatale and the spoken word goddess Lady Gaby whose Australian accent makes everything sound sensual. The wonderful visuals and sound design by Paloma Merchan, Vika Kirchenbauer and Clara Valverde also contributed to making this quite an event. And I was happy with my yarn sculpture that surrounded the playing field. The museum posted a video if you want to see the action unfold for yourself
Das Video ist Online: http://vimeo.com/25944347
I was exhausted and didn’t party with everyone, but went straight home to feed my face and get some sleep because the next morning I was finishing the ZacKary Drucker film along with the Chocolate Grinder collective of Little Alex, Assaf Hochman and hunky Tim Schenkl the nude director of photography. Tasty Tim is one of the most gifted, talented cinematographers working in Europe, he makes everything glow and is so utterly a focused lensman, and he is very easy on the eyes with a muscular body, big thick hands and feet and a penis that can open raw clams.

LECKEREIEN
Had a lovely moviola dinner evening at Flemish royal Koen Claerhout´s spacious Greifwalder Strasse flat with Koen´s sweet young American roommate Jess Newman, Katrin Dodd the beauty of HAU and the vivacious curator Cordula Daus. I brought the films The Thin Man (1934) starring William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick&Nora Charles. The film also featured a very young Maureen O´Sullivan, the mother of actress Mia Farrow. After dinner we watched Mae West and strapping Cary Grant in She Done Him Wrong (1933)which had everyone commenting that Ms. West´s strut was very hip hop nation. Well the rumour about the late superstar was that she was a light skinned black woman passing as white.
Koen is a magnificent cook and delighted us with Tagliatele with chicken, spinach and Belgian herbs, the starter was a refreshing mozzerella rucula summer salad and desert the most heavenly cappucino creme berry dainty. Koen graciously gave the Vagimule doll her comfortable bed to sleep on and i was soon awash in dreamland.
Koen was living in Egypt for six months studying the Arabic language and culture. He was sharing a flat with Hannah Al Bayati the famous Iraqi political analyst whose father started the Bath Party in Iraq before Sadam Husain got his hands on it. I have met Hannah before and she is a fascinating young woman very much committed to social change in the world.
Yesterday morning my juicy daughter ZacKary Drucker took me and Little Alex of Chocolate Grinder Film Kollective out for breakfast. We were having a quasi business meeting ironing out details for the next film shoot for the project that Lady Z is making while here in Berlina.
Tuesday i was taken to breakfast by Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim. We ate at the cute new Neu Kölln boite Vadi on Karl Marx Strasse and oggled all the humpy Turkish and Arab boys, then i went to luncheon at Baby Diaper Joel Gibb´s compound in RixDorf where he showed the latest video he directed for his band The Hidden Cameras which is pure genius and super sexxxy. Baby Diaper had been back in Toronto for almost a month and I really missed him and it was nice catching up. He is super busy with summer festival tours and he is also going to perform with Wieland Speck and Zazi De Paris at the Arsenal in August as part of the tribute to Herr Speck´s illustrious film career. Later i went to the Arsenal to see an amazing print of Stanley Kubrick´s Barry Lyndon (1975) starring a gorgeous Ryan O´Neal and the goddess that is Marisa Berenson. Ryan plays the character of Redmund Barry which is what he named his drug addled son by actress Farrah Fawcette .
Speaking of films i forgot to mention that several months ago i was invited to a special screening of the new Cameron Diaz comedy Bad Teacher. I have to give Ms. Diaz credit for allowing herself to be photographed so unflatteringly. It worked with her character. Now that she is getting a bit long on the tooth her rubbery features really lend themselves to slapstick and potty humour, and i did find the film entertaining in a guilty pleasure like manner. The highlight for me was a scene where Ms. Diaz and Justin Timberlake are dry humping, which i thought was pretty brave that they would chose to recreate what their actual sex life was all about as it is commonly known that Mr. Timberlake has a frottage fetisch of the rare extremis. O and the adoreable actor Jason Seagel is also in the film. Before Mr Seagel became known he and i had a brief flirtation with each other that never went anywhere. Jason is chunky but delightfully funky.
O and actor Peter Falk died age 83. He was the star of the successful Columbo detective series on TV in the 70s but was also a fantastic film actor in such movies as Woman Under the Influence.(1972) directed by John Cassavettes and Husbands (1970)
Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springstein´s E Street Band also passed age 69 of a stroke. I don´t think it was known by too many people that Mr. Springstein and Mr. Clemons were sometime lovers. Their relationship really blossomed in the 1970s, and they actually hadn´t fornicated with each other since then. See all the hot gossip you learn from me? You won´t read any of this on Janet Charleton´s Hollywood blog.

UND WIR STELLEN DIE KNALLHARTEN FRAGEN
Rising Stars, Falling Stars was packed to the proverbial rafters last night for our tributata to Mabel Normand the woman responsible for molding what later became the film auteur Charlie Chaplin. Some of the younger children in the audience were surprised how entertaining a film almost a century old can be. Some things are just eternal as was the musical accompaniment by the divine Eunice Martin who tore into Tillie´s Punctured Romance directed by Mack Sennett with humour and finesse. Ms. Martin is indeed a Berlin musical treasure. The film´s star is Marie Dressler who is a comic wonder. After the screening in the Rote Foyer the lovely Empress of the Arsenal Stefanie Schulte Strathaus who is off to her secret vacationland today for some well earned R&R. Frau Schulte Strathaus is the hardest working woman in film curatorialdom. Wishing her well for her holiday retreat the beautiful film curator Dorothea Wenner and winsome escort Mickey, lovesexxxy artist/programmer Angela Melitoupoulous, prima ballerina Trixie Cordua, charming Portugese actress and artist Elsa Aleluia who is the biggest fan and supporter of the Arsenal and a new RSFS devotee, Paulo the sauve Italian architect and old CHEAP klub regular who was grilling Ms. Schulte Strathaus about the beautiful and talented Eunice Martin, and wanting to know everything about all the marvelous programs and screenings that Arsenal Inst für film und video kunst has to offer.
Film Historian Marc Siegel and his intermedia actress and curator girlfriend Susanne Sachsse with their brilliant 18 year old daughter Salome Gersh were looking majestic with delight in the happy news that their latest art festival project that will premiere at HAU in April 2012 Camp Anti-Camp just received green lighted funding. That means I will be able to mount a Berlin version of my award winning chat show/akshunist installation Vaginal Davis is Speaking From The Diaphragm. In July I begin work on The Communist Bigamist with Susanne Sachsse. Commmie Biggie as we are calling it is our new two woman performance piece that is loosely based on the Ida Lupino/Joan Fontaine film The Bigamist from 1953. Giving congrats to Marc and Susie: NYU Performance Studies professor Tavia Nyongo with his sweet water polo playing pal Sebastiane, Sean Nye the American ethnomusicologist scholar who sadly leaves Berlin at the end of July, pierced nose booty pie Matt who studies continental philosophy, Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Internet Radio Magazine, young Josef the Ulrike´s Brain assistant,Walid Raad the Lebanese artist of the imaginary foundation Atlas Group, dancer Assaf Hochman with beau Little Telemacos Alex of the Chocolate Grinder Film Kollective who did a magnificent job styling my outfit, hair and beating on the doll an amazing face---he even managed to make my shapely gams magically do an Ann Miller pop on stage during my Bob Fosse style introduction, Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim who helped write my opening song and dance routine as well as accompanying me on clavier, Katja Maya aka: Katja von Hellendorf of the band Leisey Lento and the new free jazz punk noise combo Piss Göttin that will urinate on Berlin´s gay burgermeister when they perform at Kunst Werke Museum on July 2 at 6pm.
First timers to RSFS included my fabulous art star daughter Ms. ZacKary Drucker, Javier Peres of Peres Projects who brought along a hot boy bevy that included 17 year old jail bait stud Gerardo Contreras who is the gallerista with the notorious Mexico City cutting edge gallery PreTeen, Winnipeg Canada art fag couple Pzemeck & Travis and DJ Pierre Sarkozy the blondine son of französischen Präsidenten.

VOR DEM STURM
Went last nite with Daniel „Mae Cheetum“ Hendrickson to the Arsenal for their Unabhängiger Arabischer mini film festival co-sponsored by the Goethe Institut of Cairo to see the Egyptian film Microphone (2010) directed by the young attractive Alexandria, Egypt director/musician Ahmad Abdalla. The screening was packed which shows there is a huge interest for films from the Arab World. During the Berlinale, before the Arab Spring with little publicity the Arsenal showed a series of Arab films that attracted SRO crowds. I really think this should be a regular focus and the Arsenal needs to do some outreach to the Arab and Middle Eastern communities in Berlin to mix the audience. I enjoyed the film and the cute kids that populated it especially the hot skaterboard rats and one young documentary filmmaker boy who reminded me of my college crush Kaveh Kamooneh who at the time was this super beautiful young Iranian lad.
My interview with Manuel Schubert of Filmhighlights Internet Radio is up and running.
