HOMSTERS OF COQUE

Very slowly I forced myself to be more social during the holiday season as I wasn´t feeling very festive because of such a devasting year of loss. One good thing about Berlin is that it has a large Muslim population so the affects of advanced capitalism isn´t so rampant during the tired Christmas celebration and marketing convoy the way it is in the States.

I attended the fabulous birthday dinner of the divine Hannah Hurtzig at her lovely Mitte compound. Miss Hannah was looking young and  radiant as she smashed the hell out of a piñata. Susanne Sachsse and Dr. Professor Karin Harasser of the Art Academy in Linz did the cooking and it was a feast for the Magi! The VIP celebrity guest list included Nicholas Bussmann the musician and DJ who also spins in tandem with his wife Lucile Desamory who is a filmmaker, musician of note and DJane. Bini Adamczak the great Marxist thinker and writer with author, filmmaker and pro abortion activist Sarah Diehl(Bruste Kriegen),Amelie Deuflhard theater personality,Joseph Vogl the imminent philosopher, writer, and professor at Humboldt University in literary studies,Marie-Luise Angerer one of the most prominent cultural /gender studies people in Germany who teaches at the Kunstschule Kölln. Maria-Luise  once was the leader of a famous punk band. Alice Chauchat, dancer and choreographer, Natasha Ginwala the delightful Indian curator, on the artistic advisory board of the Berlin Biennale,
Meg Stuart the famed dancer& choreographer, film historian Marc Siegel, scholar Nanna Heidenreich with Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, Chris Kondek video artist, Phillip Eckert of Text Zur Kunst, Stefanie of the Goethr Institute Siberia, Florian Stirnemann, architect and  designer, Cybele Peters of the Mertz Academy, Dr. Professor Petra Gehring, the beautiful and stylish curator and filmmaker Dorothee Wenner with her personable beau, the fun loving life of the party-Mickey Spehr who is one of the organizers of the Faust Prize and who use to be the boyfriend of Nan Goldin.

On Christmas Eve I was invited to an Italian/Ameri banquet hosted by the gorgeous young fashion kingpin Piero Bellomo and his patrician pal Maximo who is related to the noble Visconti family of Milan. There were at least 34 courses that also included an American style Turkey with all the trimmings and 13 different deserts. Being the greedy lady that I am I stuffed myself silly enjoying the company of Daniel Hendrickson the Scandinavian Muslim, and social worker Tante Ingo. Piero loves Christmas and loaded me down with a million wonderful gifts including a leather jacket with matching gloves, make-up, fancy facial products and more presents then I could ever use. All this and I don´t even celebrate Christmas as I was partially raised as a Jehovah´s Witness. I guess that’s a fun fact about the Vagimule doll you probably never knew.
Christmas Day I was invited to a Post Greek Passive brunch by Tiny Telemachos Alex and his hot humpy beefcake Israeli lover Assaf Hochman. Both Little Alex and Assaf are looking very lovesexxy these days and Lil Alex has a new personal trainer who is sculpting his body into a muscle machine WoW! With all the food I have been eating I am covered in winter speck and my asstrovar is phatter then its ever been. Hopefully I will soon catch the hairy eyeball of a lusty topman.
Friday it was the annual post Christmas Pre-Silvester dinner by La Susanne Sachsse hosted by the intermedia actress and her longtime companion Film Historian Marcuse Siegel. It was so nice to be among loved ones that included the luscious Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus who presented everyone with an array of beauty products in a handsewn golden fleece pouch, Skandinavian Muslim Jihadist Daniel Hendrickson and his lover Piero Bellomo of La Collezione, The Gersch Twins Richard & Salome and perky visiting Spanish exchange student Constanza.
La Sachsse´s wonderful mamma Ellen always sends me lovely little gifts from their home town of Jena in East Germany so I am truelly the most blessed intersexed love goddess on the planet with so many people looking out for me being the orphan that I am.

WAS DER HIMMEL ERLAUBT

One of the last great Hollywood golden era glamourpusses died - Miss Joan Fontaine age 96. The star of such films as The Constant Nymph, Jane Eyre, That Certain Smile,The Bigamist (which I remade as a performance/stage vehicle playing Joan’s role in a collaboration with Susanne Sachsse playing the Ida Lupino part in what we called The Communist Bigamist), and one of my favorite film melodrama’s Letter From an Unknown Woman. Miss Fontaine was quite a handfull and never got along with her older twice Oscar winning sister Olivia deHavilland who is still alive age 97 living in Paris. The fued of the famous siblings is one of Hollywood’s most enduring true legends.

I have slowly started to emerge from my sorrow nest and I’ve accepted some invitations notably a lovely dinner party given by La Susanne Sachsse the East German diva whose famous circular table is the Teutonic version of the celebrated Algonquin Round. The Great Frau Sachsse and her film historian companion Marc Siegel hosted visiting American scholar Jonathan Flatly who is so sweet and low key. The food was beyond fabulous and the guest list also included Daniel Hendrickson the Scandinavian Muslim translator to academia’s biggest shtars. I also met with the handsome young journalist Michael Scaturro of Deutsche Welle who is so charming and bright. Michael is such a dream boy and bought me a lovely gift from Gallery LaFayette to help cheer me up and get me out of feeling down in the depths of the 90th floor. Michael was my handsome escort when I attended an open house for Black Market and Mobile Academy founder Hannah Hurtzig at her stylish Mitte compound. The generous Ms. Hurtzig is always thinking of her friends and colleagues and while in one of her purge moods gave me this exquisite chocolate rifelle Jean-Paul Gaultier winter coat which I will always cherish and it fits me perfectly.

SCHOENE DES TAGES

Tragedy, tragedy, tragedy.  If it isn’t enough that I am still not sleeping at all because of the tragic death of my good friend Dr. Jose Munoz of NYU Performance Studies Dept.  I get word from Los Angeles that my sister Teresa Ray, the only close relative I have left other then my nephews & nieces and their children is having breathing problems and is in a very bad way.  Thank god my health insurance here in Berlin will pay for grief counseling and some short term therapy.  I need it!!!!
Dr. Jennifer Doyle is in New York being the angel that she is helping those close to Dr. Jose cope.  Dr. Doyle gives good nurture and so I am sure Nao Bustamente, Ella Troyano, Carmelita Tropicana and John-John Anderson will benefit from the strong sensitive support that only Dr. Doyle can provide in an hour of need.
Went to the movies and saw the Aussie film Two Mothers also called in German Days at the Beach.  Both titles are awfull starring Robin Wright and Naomi Watts who wind up bagging each others strapping teenage surfer boy sons.  It would have been a better storyline if the two moms got down for some heavy lesbiana and or the boys started macking each other with all four of them winding up in a hot buttery fourgy.  As is the film is tepid at best.  Also went to see the Cohen Bros Inside Llewyn Davis. Impressed by the acting skills and singing chops of star Oscar Issac and was surprised by Carey Mulligan who has never wowed me, but she was lovely here.  Was happy to see the short glimpse of that  beautifull piece of eye candy in Garrett Hedlund, thrombone Adam Driver and humpy dork Stark Sands.

BLAZING GRIEF

Was taken to a lovely luncheon  at the old school Berlin restaurant Borchardt on Franzosische Strasse  by the beautiful and glamorous Daphne´ Cousineau who is the managing director of Valentino Couture.  I haven´t seen Madame Cousineau since she lived in Los Angeles with her hot handsome husband Olivier and worked for Vivendi Universal.  We had a joyous reunion, but upon arriving home I received a devastating phone call telling me of the sudden death of Dr. Jose Esteban Munoz at age 46.  Jose had been such a staunch supporter of my art life writing a chapter about me in his famed book Disidentifications.  I didn´t want to believe that Dr. Munoz was really gone so in a deluze adaise I went to Daniel Hendrickson´s annual Hannakuh Party where everyone present including Marc Siegel, Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus of Arsenal Institüt für film und video kunst, Nanna Heidenreich, Max Jorge Hinder Cruz and Senol Senturk shared their memories of the great writer, teacher and scholar.  Of course I wasn´t able to sleep at all that night tossing and turning as golden memories of Jose flooded my mind corpules.  The next evening I tried to drown my sorrow by going to see a screening of The Killers the 1946 film directed by Robert Siodmak starring hunky Burt Lancaster, Edmund O´Brian, Eva Gardner and a young William Conrad as a hired assassin.  Jose would have gotten such a kick out of seeing William Conrad before he became known as the pepperpot TV detective Cannon in the 1970s.  Second night with no sleep and something tells me that there are going to be many more sleepless winter evenings as 19 years studded with memories of Dr. Munoz overwhelm and annoint me.  Thank you to everyone who has called and emugged and my heart pours out to Jose´s familia in Florida and his NYC clan of colleagues and devoted students including his sister in the clothe Carmelita Tropicana and sweet young lover John-John.

THAT IRON CURTAIN SMILE

Someone just recently sent me a link about the romantic affairs of Anderson Cooper.  I can believe there is so much media interest in Mr. Cooper the handsome, silverfox TV presenter and son of heiress Gloria Vanderbuilt.  I feel a little bit responsible for this as I was the first person to write about him way back in the 1990s when no one knew who he was.  Its surprising that no one has tracked down one of his old boyfriends Treffley Bedard who I believe still lives on Oakhurst Drive in the 90210 section of Beverly Hills.  I am sure Treffley who when I knew him was quite the juicy sex boy has quite the percolating story to tell.

Two of my former Weissensee Art Akademy students have a new project.  Please read about it here and attend:

Kotti Shop/Copyroboter (Annette Knol) and Material Mafia (Katja von Helldorff) have been working together since a long time printing, drawing, combining techniques and sharing inspiration. Annette and me are both pretty much under the influence of travelling in our minds, and probably just as you dreaming of being somewhere else than in the cold grey wet Berlin weather ... for example: lying in the shadow of a coconut tree .
These are the main reasons why we decided to show some of our graphic work together and invite you to dream of COCONUT MILK with us !

SATURDAY 7TH OF DECEMBER from 15h is the opening of the exhibition
at Werkstatt für Experimente / Material Mafia : KUGLERSTR 61, 10439 Berlin
it runs until the 30th of december
opening hours: saturdays 15-18h, tuesdays 15-17h  and by appointment : 0163 989 33 85
it would be lovely to see you all there !

Went to the Kino Arsenal to see a screening of Otto Preminger’s film version of Francoise Sagan’s Bonjour Tristesse.  I really love this 1957 film starring the young and ravishing Jean Seberg in some Rick Owens looking Givenchy gowns, David Niven, Deborah Kerr, the very effective Mylene Demongeot  and hunky Geoffrey Horne who is now an acting  professor at NYU. I was surprised there was such a big crowd for the film.
