Was at the American Bibliotech the other day doing some research for these art catalogs i have been contracted to write an essay for. One is for the Tate Liverpool and one for a museum in Hong Kong. Very excited about getting work in the East, and also being invited to China and Korea for a commission piece. Lets face it kids China is the future. I need to start taking Chinese language lessons soon in anticipation for the takeover.
Read the Guardian newspaper section on birthdays and discovered that my old pal director Penelope Spheeris (Decline of Western Civilization) just turned 67 along with Bette Midler, actress Julie Harris(A Member of the Wedding) is 87 and my olde disco dolly partner Charlene Tilton from TV´s Dynasty is 54. The sweet British actress Emily Mortimer is now 41. I met her and her handsome husband Alessandro Nivola through Milena of Los Super Elegantes when they use to live in Echo Park. Now they are on the east coast. Hunky Treat Williams of Hair the movie is 61, Woody Allen is 77 and Deana Durbin the high C susie of Universal Pictures in the 30s and 40s and star of Three Smart Girls and Up in Central Park is still kicking it at 91.
I just found out that the writer Robert Greene(48 Laws of Power/The Art of Seduction) is a Vaginal Davis fanatica, and has even purchased some of my paintings from Participant Inc. Gallery in New York. Last year someone gave me a copy of his book 33 Strategies of War for Christmas, but i still haven´t read it.
Last night i had drinks at Anderes Ufer with Jason Byrne my former Cal Arts film student blondine who has been living in Tanzania from 2008. He took a leave of absence from his duties with the genocide tribunal to breathe in Berlin till January 2013. Jason is such a delightful booty pie and we had a wonderout time catching up.
Been receiving tons of major kudos for Camp/Anti-Camp VD is SFTD in Frankfurt. Phil Collins sent me a lovely note along with Manuela Monk, some international curators who were in the audience and are interested in us doing it in Brazil and France, and sweet young, talented and beautiful Ale Bachlechner of KHM Köln. I was very touched by the outpourings.
This morning had breaky at East London-God Bless British Food with Christian Weber my VD is SFTD-Berlin assistant and his adoreable friend Florian. Christian is a young film scholar who did his Phd on Gus Van Sant and is very love sexy and extremely juicy. We all had The Full Monty olde fashion English Breakfast and then started gossiping. Christian and Florian told me all about George Gänswein who is the man behind the Pope. The fellow who is known as the George Clooney of the Vatican who convinced his holiness to donn Prada. Herr Gänswein is also the personal secretary to Lady Pope and the one who gets to service all his mighty needs as the most rocking bottom in Christendom. For his devotion he has been promoted to Arch Bishop and during a recent interview with the Bundespresident Gauck and the Pope, Mr. Gauck presented the papel prinzessin with a platinum and silver imodium dilda to which his holy roly exclaimed it was the biggest he had ever seen and was so thankful that he added a sensual grimace and accompanying gesture along with his appreciation.
On a similar note I was told that legendary actor Helmet Burger will be on the German addition of I´m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here also known as Jungle Camp on the Deutsch station RTL. The star is a bit down on his luck and is in need of the $monies the program provides. I applaud Mr. Burger for his candidness.

Everyone knows that the Vagimule doll doesnt travel well. Getting off and on aeroplanes sends the lady into a classic tin thizzy of epic pork portions. Still suffering from a cough and cold congestion caught on my Air Berlin flight from Manhattan and Hurricane Sandy Dennis. Before I got dropkicked with a fever artist Nicole Blackman came by the Cheese Endique Trifecta for a New York minute. Nicole is a famous beauty in the Talmadge Sisters tradition known for her exquisite theatre for one piece The Courtesan Tales. She was looking resplendid and is one super hot glam NYC girl who occasionally makes pitstops in Berlin because her hot French boyfriend is a power executive with this company that has a Berlin branch.
I was still a bit feverish when I went to the eastside compound of la Susanne Sachsse for one of her otherworldy feasts of pure deliciousness. Before getting down with some serious gourmand eating we had a conference call with the delightful British artist Phil Collins and his sweet assistant as we will all be collaborating on the new edition of Camp/Anti-Camp and VD is SFTD that will take place Friday Nov 30 and Sat Dec 1st at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt am Main. The proceedings will also feature Daniel Hendrickson, Marc Siegel, Senol Senturk, Tan Bihn Nguyen as well as my lesbiana lover Carmelita Tropicana, Hans & Jacob Lena Knebl, Juan saurez and a host of special surprise guests.
Before I left the East Coast I had one bit of business with Dr. Jose Munoz at NYU´s Performance Studies Dept with the conversation No One Leaves Delilah – A (W)rap on Race that was filled beyond capacity and some superstars had to be turned away like the great writer Hilton Als of The New Yorker with his protégé Thomas Lax and many others. Luckily Hilton and Thomas were able to join us afterwards for din din at this old fashion boite in the Village called North Square in the Washington Square Hotel. Those who were able to listen in on the doctor´s perky conv: Zach and Andrea, Lia Gangitano, Baseera Khan, Andrew Blakely, Allesandro Cadagone, the wonderful Jim Foratt who I have known for years who gave me a special gift of an olde school red receiver mobile phone adapter, the lovely Alexander Casso, Prince of Judeah Leon Hilton, Max Steele Mark Morgan Perez humpy Brian Greenberg, Viktor Rusuk and numerous other five acre celebutants.
Treated to a final breaky at A7 before I was off to JFK by that generous angel Mark MorganPerez who is just as cute cuddly and love sexy as I remember him when we first met back in the late 1990s.
Recently re-connected with old 1980s pal Alfredo Botello who is writing and directing original programming for You Tube. He sent me a sample and the series features a very hunky dark haired male ingénue. My advice to Alfie is make sure his youthful star appears with little or no clothing on and he will have a guaranteed hit.

Julia Mitterbauer and Veronika Eberhart got to know each other while organizing the Ladyfest Vienna back in 2005. All those motivated people in that DIY-community, the workshops, shows and discussions inspired them to start a band of their own. Together with Alena Pfoser they formed their first band Ilsebill, while at the same time all three of them were wrapped up in Grounded Theory to write their Master Thesis. As none of them had played the drums or an e-guitar before, their approach to music was and still is intuitive, direct and self-taught, They improved their skills simply by playing, laughing and crying. Following a great time of exciting rehearsals and concerts, Andi Dvorak asked them to release a 7inch record on his label Fettkakao, which Ilsebill happily agreed to do. Not long after the release Alena headed to St. Petersburg to start her scientific career.
Back in Vienna Julia and Veronika started their new project Plaided by playing a concert at the Frauenbandenfest, a feminist concert evening which takes place in Vienna regularly to support local, all-female, start-up bands and offers an open stage and a well-meaning audience.
They continued experimenting with different instruments and invited guests such as Ana Threat, Stefanie Sourial, Sushi, Andi Dvorak, Natali and A Thousand Fuegos on stage. They still love DIY, Riot Grrrls, Punk, cats and big hearts. Next to their band they have a lot of other stuff on the side, while Julia creates beautiful things out of wood and drawings of birds, Veronika helps to organize the Girls Rock Camp in Wr. Neustadt, takes pictures of houses and faces, animates, and slowly starts her solo project Tirana, which already published a song on the Fettkakao Sampler (2011).

Just Friends and Lovers (Fettkakao/Graz)
Just Friends and Lovers is a Trio from Graz, Austria. the Band bloomed out of the Wilhelmine thing they are part of. Lina was in Lady Lynch before, a really great post punk band i can only encourage you to listen to. JFaL or "Jafalos" as the Plaideds call them, formed in 2011, and in no time did this spilt tape with their friends from Moscow called Love Is. you guessed right: i became a friend of the JFaLs pretty soon, and not long after begged them to work something out together on fettkakao. their first record on fettkakao is called "This Tune" and is a 7" ep (fett030).

Sorry for the delay in giving you a report of what is happening to me in post Hurricane Sandy New York. Well its a mess let me tell you. All of lower Manhattan is still in the dark. No lights, phone, heat, hot water. Just awful. But it could be worse. I am still alive. I lived through my first hurricane and it was very frightening let me tell you as i cant swim and my biggest fear is drowning in a flash flood.
In regards to my first major visual art exhibition at participant inc. it will not happen on sunday Nov 4th. Please keep checking the participant inc facebook page for updates. My Gallery is on the lower east side and with no power, no show. Hopefullly power will be restored and we can proceed with mounting the show. Love Camel is with me and we are squabbling as usual. He leaves Nov 6th. Hopefully my Bricktops husband Andrew Gould will also come. I miss him so much. Writing this blog at the gorgeous downtown Brooklyn penthouse apartment of Lia's gorgeous sister. I was able to take a nice hot bath. With no heat in my apartment that means no showers, so i have been very funky. The other day we walked across the Williamsburg bridge to shower and check emails at Lia's pal Roberts gorgeous spacious flat where we watched a crazy zombie movie starring sexy nerd Jesse Eisenberg, with Emma Stone , Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray.
Special thank you shout out to my child of high art Jonathan Berger who brought me plenty of water, seltzer, juice, fruit, snacks, flashlights and candles to last me through the disaster.
Before hurricane i had a nice interview with a lovely journalist named Ryann Donnelly from Interview Magazine.

Traveling from Berlin to New York on Air Berlin came off without any major complications. The pursor felt sorry for me and gave me an exit row aisle seat and there was no one sitting next to me which was divine. The only bad things being that I wasn't able to get any sleep the night before and this weird stomach flu re-emerged keeping me projectile excreting in the lavatory during most of the flight. A lot of the passengers thought I was a junky. I was also freezing from either a fever or hot flashes. I don't know which. Being trapped on a plane sick is the worst. My dooky is still liquid but at least I am able to eat some solid foods. Lia and the Participant Inc gang of Bassera, Tom, Cy & Company have been divine. My east village flat is cute with a large loft bed turret. I am close to everything, and everyone I love like Bruce Benderson, Glenn Belverio, Patty Powers, Slava Mogutin and Brian Kenny.
There is a TV in my flat and I watched two late night old movies: Billy the Kid vs Dracula starring a cockeyed John Carradine and Jesse James vs Frankenstein's Daughter. Both are hilarious!!!!!
A big perfect storm combined with a Hurricane strangely named Sandy is barreling in on the Tri-State area with predicted floods, high winds and assorted damages. So I guess I picked the perfect time to come to Man!hattan.
The transgressive independent Japanese director Koji Wakamatsu who produced Nagisa Oshima's In The Realm of Senses died age 76. I love kinky Japanese men. He was all over me at the Berlinale Film Festival back in 2010.

DIE STOOGES-DREI VOLPFUSTEN
Someone the other day asked me if I had seen Oliver Stones latest film Savages. I had forgotten I had seen it at a screening many months ago. I thought it was very designy living with its threegy the hardway with studkin thrombone Taylor”Hetero” Kitsch lovely suck-ulent Aaron Taylor Johnson (who I also saw in the remake of Anna Kerenina starring Kira Knightely)and bland blondine Blake UnLively. The piece could have benefited from having the boy beauties beating up each others pussy´s. Maybe they filmed this scene and it was edited out in the final mix. Ms. Travolta is revolting but Selma Hyak and Benecio Del Toro are a hoot.
Berlin is experiencing Indian summer and its major Ms. Gorgeous with all the leaves turning delicious Fall colors. In German Indian Summer is called Old Woman´s Summer.
Just received this note from sexxxxy Gio Black Peter who will be performing in Japan soon. Yes all my fans in Japan you are in for a treat, and I am sure they will be lining up to get a chance to chow down on Gio´s giant peterfication.
Friends & Family,
I will be in Tokyo from Oct 19-24, performing on Oct 20. If you (or someone you know) happens to be there as well then I would like to forward this invite :

Sorry to all of you who wrote to my webmaster and student intern wondering why the postings are so sporadic. I have been crazed lately working on my first major solo visual art exhibition that opens Nov 4th at Participant Inc in New York, and my computer that was donated to me by the generous folks at West of Rome Public Art Agency crashed and is kaput. I have the worse luck with computers. As they say in Deutschland "Tunten und Technik". A few years ago the kindly professors Dr. Munoz, Doyle and Montez bought me a computer that met a similar fate to this one.
Just wanted to add to the report list of who was at the 5 year anniversary of Rising Stars, Falling Stars. Humpy and LoveSexxxy Bolivian/German scholar and curator Max Jorge Hinderer Cruz, Yorgos the handsome Greek Byzantine Ottoman,Berlin art couple extrodinaire Christian and Karen Boras who live in a WW2 Bunker with their fab art kollection and Vito Schnabel.

IX BUFFEN BITTE
The 5 year Rising Stars, Falling Stars-We Must Have Music was packed to overload last night. I can´t believe i have been curating this monthly program for so long. In addition to a myriad of celebutants we also rejoiced in the publication of a book of my insane rants, notes and introduction texts for the series which was designed by the well hungariac Daniel Hendrickson the Scandanavian Muslim who has been my partner in grime these last five years and who also puts together the before and after screening musique. For the first time ever i screen the 1929 Louise Brooks GW Pabst collab Diary of a Lost Girl (Das Tagebuch Einer Verlorenen) which also features the divine Valeska Gert. Eunice Martin knocked it out of the proverbial ballpark last night with her performance on klavier. So many international shtars in the audience because of the ThinkFilm Congress that was curated by Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus which had everyone in Berlin talking. I am so stoked that I asked Marc Siegel and Uli Ziemons to give me the list of names of who came last night. From Marc with his handsome film historian flare:
Beautiful stage and costume production designer Ida Müller with huge peniled theater radical Vegard Vinge (who greeted audiences in the foyer with a show of his gorgeous celebrated cock from the glass elevators –this is true!!!) the acting legend that is Volker Spengler with his trusted hashish pipe, Ed Halter of Light Industries, seductive Bangalore filmmaker Shai Heredia, leader of Experimenta, the only experimental film festival in India, soft spoken British-Egyptian actor, artist and media activist Khalid Abdalla (star of Hollywood film United 93)committed and intense heavy browed Egyptian filmmaker and activist Tamer El Said, Jordanian curator beauty Ala Younis
canadian fim distribution goddess Lauren Howes of CFMDC,Nadja Talmi of Haus of World Cultures, Little Alex parading his tight ass to volker(he also did Ms. Davis´s Make-up and frightwig) Caem, France based New Zealand curator Brent Klinkum of Transit Video, New York film aristocrats Ela Troyano and Uzi Parnes, glamorous Susanne Sachsse, and Kjohnny Blue
Seen by Uli:Trixie and Ludwig Schonherr, Markus Ruff of Living Archive project, guest curator from Brazil Joel Pizzini, Artists Cyprien Caillard, Knut Asdam,Alexander Ruthner, David Kidman, Joseph Abatti, Elsa Halalujah of Portugal, Clarissa Thieme the video artist who teaches at UDK, Julian & Tatiana, Olivier & Toby, Brit It Girl Alexa Chung model Alessandra Ambrosio, actor Shiloh Fernandez, Dylan Efron brother of Zac, Cara Delevingne the Chanel Ohrmanschette,Shameless UK star Qasim Akhtar and the daughter of Gloria--- Prinzessin Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis.

Little Annie & Baby Dee (Tin Angel Records, New York / Cleveland)
Jordan Hunt (London)
Roter Salon / Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Linienstr. 227, 10178 Berlin, 20:00
get ready for two of the ultimate divas:
growing up in late 1970ies NEW YORK, ANNIE BANDEZ O'CONNER aka LITTLE ANNIE lived a funky and dangerous teenage life. with some 16 years she was the singer of the atonal dance-punk band ANNIE AND THE ASEXUALS, "screaming about thorazine and being in mental hospital“. during the following decade she left her home country, moved to the UK and teamed up with the folks of the adventurous polit-punk band CRASS as well as the pioneers of electronic music, COIL. after these procreative collaborations her artistic path crossed the one of famous producer ADRIAN SHERWOOD and his influential ON-U SOUND imprint - founded in the early 1980ies undoubtedly one of UK's important independent label, fusing reggae, dub, spoken word and post-punk to a widely respected experimental hybrid.
over the years she broadened her artistic horizon via collaborations with artists like KID CONGO POWERS, CURRENT 93, ANTONY HEGARTY and composer / pianist PAUL WALLFISCH. with him she extensively recorded while the last 10 years, defining a new balladic, jazzy, warm and fuzzy cabaret singing style.right now, LITTLE ANNIE and her dear friend, the equally extraordinary singer and pianist BABY DEE, are realizing the long-standing plan of a mutual album to be released later in 2012 on britain's TIN ANGEL RECORDS.
like Annie, Dee has a wild and vivid biography. born in CLEVELAND in the 1950ies, she moved to NEW YORK in the early 1970ies, worked as a choir leader and music teacher at a catholic church for 10 years, to later join the CONEY ISLAND SIDESHOW CIRCUS. eventually she rode through the city on a rebuilt tricycle with a harp mounted in front of it. now she’s back in CLEVELAND and fully concentrates on her musical career.
BABY DEE has worked together with companions like MARC ALMOND, DAVID TIBET from CURRENT 93, ANTONY HEGARTY and BONNIE „PRINCE“ BILLY.
JORDAN HUNT, in his regular dayjob principal violinist of the legendary queer chamber orchestra THE IRREPRESSIBLES, will accompany LITTLE ANNIE & BABY DEE and open the evening with a rare solo set.

Listening to NPR Berlin’s This American Life with Ira Glass recently I was surprised to find that the correspondent on this nonsense story on Private Eye Mom’s is none other then my former colleague at the LA Weekly dimunitive Josh Bearman. Joshua was a cute nebishy Jewish boy with a huge passive aggressive streak who became known for his habit of wearing 70s style Jews for Jesus sandles that showcased his manly humpy dork feetsis. If Josh had climbed into bed with me I wouldn’t have kicked him out.
It seems like everyone I use to work with at the LA Weekly now does reporting for NPR --Ben Adair, Queena Kim. Are there any more that I don’t know about?
Little Annie and Baby Dee will be performing in Berlin soon at the Volksbuhner’s Grune Salon. If you’re in town looking for something to do go and see these tremendously talented ladies. I wish I could go but I have to focus on my first solo visual art exhibition that will be at Participant Inc. Gallery in New York.

SEXUAL EMOTIONS OF A DONKEY
Cute early morning photo shoot for Candy Magazine taken by good looking stranger baby art photog Benjamin Huseby who is a sexy Norweigan mix of caucausion and Pakistani---nice combination. The term stranger baby was coined by my old boss from Sundance Film Festival’s New Frontiers Section the wonderful Shari Frilot. Shari is mixed race black/white and latina and uses the phrase when describing people whose ethnic origins are in question.
Helping me get dressed for my shoot was Scandanavian Muslim Daniel Hendrickson who whipped up a lovely chartreuse velour caftan and turban combi for “the doll” making me look quite fetching. I wasn’t so happy with my make-up as I had to do it myself and I don’t have madd skills in tiretracking.
I was told later by a friend that Mr. Huseby’s beau who I think was the same man who accompanied him to my studio creates wearable art for pop starlette Lady GaGa. I’ve never been a fan of Lady GaGa but I have to admire the relentless chug of machinery surrounding her climb to fame and fortune. I guess one person she definitely owes her success to is Enrique Ongpin from Los Angeles. Enrique is a record label/radio promoter and music industry shark/dragon lady who championed Lady GaGa before anyone else. Enrique and I have a long history as he was partner’s with the amazing Jeffreyland Hilbert in the long running Hollywood queer club nite Hai Karate where he DJ’d under the name Enrique the Hip Flip.I have to give Enrique credit for his tenacity in staying on top in that cutthroat music industry world. Enrique reminds me of my old middle school Filipino friend Edgar Bautista’s great aunt. The Phillipine Islands have been the bitch of the Japanese, the Spanish and the Americans so they learn early how to maneuver in treacherous waters. Edgar’s Aunt was a matriarch who guided the entire family from lower middle to upper middle class status in less then a generation. She was the ultimate social climber using her light skin resemblance to the young beauty queen Imelda Marcos with a bit of Evita Peron thrown in for good measure to attract powerful men who could get her and her family out of the Phillipines into the United States.
Old school crooner Andy Williams died age 84 of bladder cancer. His long running TV variety show was on NBC from 1959-1971 and introduced to the world the ever grinning Mormen Osmond Family including Donny & Marie. Williams who turned a bit right wing in his old age had a smooth and silky singing style and started his career with his brothers and backing up the gifted chanteuse, song arranger and personality Kay Thompson in her celebrated nightclub act. The well endowed Mr. Williams also had a long standing affair with Miss Thompson who was many years his senior as well as some man-on-man tettes with actor Van Johnson and Farley Granger. In the early 1970s his world was rocked by a scandal involving his ex-wife the French singer Claudine Longet who shot her lover the humpy ski bum Spider Savage.
Little Alex of Macedonia screened for me the Zackary Drucker film She Gone Rogue that I co-star in alongside legendary legends Ms. Holly Woodlawn and Flawless Mother Sabrina. The experimental short subject is quite good and Ms. Woodlawn and Ms. Flawless Mother are sensational as one would expect from such stellar talents. ZacKary is definitely the premiere voice of her generation. Little Alex also told me about the scandals in Greece his home country, where top officials have run off with billions of extorted $monies. Poor Miss Greece the original home of Greek active and Greek passive homosexuality.
The time is ticking until my first big solo visual art exhibition in New York called HAG-small, contemporary, haggard that opens Nov 4th at Participant Inc. Gallery on the lower east side on east Houston Street. This gallery is run by the sensational Lia Gangitano. My exhibit will run until Dec 16, 2012. Currently at the gallery is the solo show of Kembra Pfahler called Fuck Island. I have to focus on putting this show together so for the next month I will be a bit illcommunicado and wont be accepting any engagements unless they pay super big bucks.

DAS GANZ NORMALE CHAOS
Spent a glorious day with one of my best girlfriends and sister of the clothe Glenn Belverio aka Glennda Orgasm. Glenn is an international fashion and culture writer and was one of the first people to predict the ascension of China as a force to reckon with in his writings in the Asian Magazine East/West. Glenn is also a regular contributor to the well respected fashion blog by Diane Pernet A Jaded View on Fashion. Glenn treated me to breakfast at East London – God Bless British Food and we then had ice cream and walked the course of the canal in Kreuzberg, stopping to snack and then we went by the apartments of Hildegard Knef and Marlene Dietrich before coming back to the Cheese Endique Trifecta where I cooked us a dinner of Bulgar and Endive. Glenn had been in Vienna for their fashion week and will be off to Amsterdam and China before returning to his guilded life in New York where he lives in the East Village.
Also visiting Berlin was one of my beautiful young Bricktops at the Parlour Club children, the gifted singer and musician Jose Promis who I met for a little coffee and cake klatch. So divine seeing Jose who collaborated with me on my last big commission piece in LA for the Getty/Pacific Standard Time. Jose has triple USA-Chilean and EU citizenship so he may move to either Berlin, Spain or Portugal in the next year. I am so glad that he is coming into his own and realizing that he was being taken advantage of by certain elements in Los Angeles that prey on the gullible nature of performers in that town where everyone is so hungry for a venue and exposure. I told him to follow the adage of the great Diane Vreeland, “There is elegance in refusal.”
When I was sitting on a bench along the canal with Glenn two women approached me about being in a movie with Nastassia Kinski. I use to hang out with Ms. Kinski in LA in the early 1980s when she was making Francis Ford Coppolla’s One From the Heart. She is beautiful, but I would not want to be reunited with her as she can be a bit much to take. In all fairness so am I, so we cancel each other out. I feel sorry for Quincy Jones who was married to her back in the last century.
Hope to see you all Sunday at Kino Arsenal 2 9pm at Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz for Rising Stars, Falling Stars-We Must Have Music when we screen the French musical classic The Umbrellas of Cherbourg directed by Jacques Demy (Agnes Vardas’ late husband) starring divine beauty Catherine Deneuve.

Stopped by the Bloodyminded Opening of Invisible Exports Gallery of NYU Saturday at The Wye in Kreuzberg that is part of Berlin’s Art Week. The exhibition looked incredible. Gen’s video wasn’t working when I was watching it but it was very early in the evening. Wish I could have stayed longer then 30 minutes but I had to get back to the Cheese Endique Trifecta to work on my solo show for Participant Inc. Gallery that opens Nov 4th. Saw my Tenderloin hottie Felix Knoke at the show and he sent me this report on the entire event at The Wye:
My lovely Lady Vag,
I didn't spend a lot of time at the exhibition: saw the installations on the second floor (for example the danish artists' room with the shot mannequins, lying lifeless on their faces or sitting in the corner with a puddle of blood under their heads and bodies) and talked with some publisher-friends on the third but quickly fled from those people whose outfits made me doubt their art a lot: is it really "their" art or is, for them, art just another facade or fountain or extension of their ego? Do they communicate and reveal or do they dictate and hide? Their art felt cold and shallow - but I'm not sure if that's a deep insight or just me being irritated by their uniform unique/unique uniform appearence.
Also it didn't help, that the Gin n Tonic I drank was warm like pony piss.
Your pictures, to be sure, stuck out - just because they didn't try so hard to be special and clever and meaningful and provocative and deep while everything else was just being pretentious. It didn't surprise me when those two souther german art students in the toilet cubicle next to me took some drugs (while whispering like two school kids smoking half a cigarette) instead of having sex. I gave me best to make them feel unpleasent.
I'm surprised that no one's mentioned yet that the aura of the gesture notates the larger
carcass. With regard to the issue of content, the subaqueous qualities of the negative space endangers
the devious simplicity of the essentially transitional quality. It should be added that the sublime beauty
of the facture makes resonant the eloquence of these pieces. As an advocate of the Big Mac Aesthetic, I
feel that the metaphorical resonance of the sexy fish threatens to penetrate the exploration of montage
elements. It's difficult to enter into this work because of how the mechanical mark-making of the
figurative-narrative line-space matrix spatially undermines the substructure of critical thinking."
*
Sunday morning I met with Benjamin of Invisible Exports for a lovely studio visit before he heads back to New York. He actually lived in Berlin briefly in 2000. Then I was off to have a meeting with the wonderful British artist Phil Collins in the former east. Phil and his students will be collaborating with me on Camp/Anti-Camp in Frankfurt in late November/early December which will be a lot of fun as Phil is a sweet good time Charley.
In the morning had radio interview with Manuel Schubert of Filmhighlight Magazine, and I am writing to you from the Schoeberg Bibliotek which is right next to the Schoeneberg Bad just around the corner from my Cheese Endique Trifecta.

That dear of a President B. Obama may run into some trouble with his campaign because of the teachers strike dealings of his former boyfriend Rahm Emanuel who is now the burgermeister of Chicago. The presidents wife was never thrilled that her husbands affections were divided, but being a modern woman she put up with it to a certain degree, then had Mr. Immanuel ousted.
The Republican vice-president candidate Paul Ryan of Wisconsin has many boyfriends, and his wife is quite friendly with them all. But of course the Ryans are a good decade younger then the Obamas where such unorthodox behavior is the norm.
Just spent some quality time with my sweet Uli Ziemons who is known as the handsomest most desireable man in all of Europa. Perfect Uli is not on the marketplace girls as he has a very pretty, stylish and accomplished girlfriend named Juliana. It was wonderous being over at Uli’s stylish Kreuzberg flat listening to his expert, rare record collection and eating a scrumptious home cooked meal. Uli prepared a yummy and nutrious Salmon Tarantella with a late summer frisk salad and for desert: semen pudding coated in strawberries----lecker!!! Mr.Ziemons also surprised me with a super 8 film of the Cheese Endique Trifecta that was brilliant.

My memory pieces always generate a huge outpouring of emugs. I guess I have to write more in that vein. I also turned up a copy of a list of bands that the LAPD put out in the 1980s who they considered subversive and dangerous and my group the Afro Sisters was on this list. I believe we were put on the list because we had performed with the hardcore punk band MDC(Millions of Dead Cops)and not because someone from LAPD had actually heard our music or message.
Last night was invited to dinner at the famous table of Frau Susanne Sachsse at her luxurious compound in the former East Berlin. It was a joyous evening of fellowship that included Constantine Achmed Berger her colleague from the Berliner Ensemble days of yore and old neighbor Steffi who is now back in the flat living below Susanne again. Pretty Miss Steffi had in tow her adoreable well behaved children. Susanne cooked a down home Thueringen region meal from her hometown of Jena with delicious kloese, seasonal vegetables and brined meatchucks, dandy corn on-the-cob and for desert the Muslim warrior Daniel Hendrickson baked an apricot anal crostata tart. Many rounds of lecker smecker by kJohnny Blue, Marc Siegel, Richard Gersche and his girlfriend Miss Vicky who will be heading off soon to theatre school. kJohnny Blue’s brother Tim has started a new career as a cab driver back home in Portland, Oregon.
Had a nifty visit from my former NYU student Marc Arthur who is the right hand man of RoseLee Goldberg of Performa. Cute Marc was the star of many film opuses by both Gorgeous George Kuchar and his twin brother Mike. Marc was just in Brussels,Belgium with artist Jack Pierson where he was showered with accolades for a stupendous performance that featured live doves crying at the Xavier Huflens Gallery. Marc gave me some scandalous New York and international gossip and then he was off to a big dinner at the studio of Michael Elmgreen and big dicked Norweigan Ingar Dragset.
Next week fashion and culture critic Glenn Belverio will be making a pit stop in Berlin.

Can’t wait to start digging into this new book called The Age of Desire by Jennie Field that is about writer Edith Wharton’s love affair with journalist Morton Fullerton.
Distracted by a curly haired dark blondine boy tourist with his familie while walking to the American Bibliotech at Hallesches Tor to do a little research. This kid is quite yummy and in a few short years he will ripen into a gorgonzolan.
Sitting outside of a Turkish bakery on Akazien Strasse when who should walk by wearing odd plastic sunglasses, a SuperFly chartreuse trench coat, dusky cowboy boots and tight animal print pants but a former colleague from my CHEAP Jewelry days Berlin-circa 2001. This person is much younger then I am and use to be cute in a goofy kind of way. Over the last few years he’s become insufferable. Everytime I see him I want to run far away. Maybe he is going through some odd change of life as he drifts into middle age that is making him repugnant to me. I thought it was just me and my particular prejudices but I am not the only one who has expressed this feeling towards him.
Berlin is not known as a fashion mecca. Wealthy people either dress conservatively in expensive dull clothes or the standard all-black uniform playing it safe. Then there are those who wear the most outlandish outfits without grace or elan. I’ve been known to dress outrageously, but I’ve always had good taste. Yes there is a level of taste involved with being an outrageous dresser. Many fail to recognize this.
On the underground I saw an androgynous person with what looked like 100 wigs carefully stitched together into a giant mop on their head that seemed to wear 50 lbs. While they looked a little uncomfortable as the wig tilted them to one side it was definitely a highly stylized look that worked on someone with a thin frame and whose clothing was rather simple and muted. If you’re going to do crazy hair everything else can’t be crazy and this person understood that. They chose to make a statement with very big hair and that was fine.
If you have ruddy skin it’s not wise to dye ones hair bright red. Also bleaching your hair platinum blonde or jet black isn’t always the best thing to do if your complexion is craggy as it calls more attention to the face.
The current trend of gay men wearing bushy beards and other forms of unkept facial hair is very unfortunate. Not everyone can pull off a beard. Most just wind up looking like a derelict.
What is it with libation loving Teutonic crusties in Berlin who are attached at the hip to their equally crusty animal companions? Seven am Pilsner in hand an unfortunate woman on the Hauptstrasse ---Kafkaesque, but in reverse--- morphing from a mangey canine/bug into some unrecognizeable humanoid shape, complete with a long dredlocked tendrell.
Wonderful time the other night with my Saarbruecken scientist. Dinner at an Indian boite off the Ufer--- scrumptious, and very private. Served by an arresting dark skinned Southeast Asian young man. Was he Malyasian or Cambodian? Couldn’t tell, he just wasn’t Indian or Pakistani. Was the gaysian flirting with me while I was on my dinner date or was it just my imagination? I am so deluded. I think everyone is wrapped up in the Haus of Ms. Vaginal Davis. Well if they aren’t they should be.
I had an odd encounter Tuesday. An inbred looking man in his early 30s came up to me on the street and froze glassy eyed staring at me with mouth agape. Instinctively my big sister to the world mojo kicked in and I held him in a mama grizzly hug. The poor and unloved creature melted in my arms literally purring as I patted his shaved Nosferatu shaped head. After 40 minutes he broke free crying and mumbling thank you in Deutsch, and went on his way. Sometimes its necessary to avail yourself to complete strangers.
For the last three weeks my Saarbrucken scientist has been enjoying a holiday here in Berlin at a giant loft flat on Paul-Lincke Ufer. I guess our little late summer love affair is opening up my reedy sex chakras as I have had many encounters lately with boys sniffing at me when walking on the street. On one moonlit evening a 26 six year old from Hamburg was professing his undying love.
I was asked if I was on Gay Romeo by a Swiss/Italo actor coming out of the post office. Of course I am not on any gay dating sites as I don’t believe in them. And just the other day a Humboldt University student who saw me give a performative lecture a month ago at the school sent my webmaster an email and wanted to meet for coffee to interview me for a project on performance that he is working on. We met and it became apparent that the 19 year old had a bit of a schoolgirl crush on me. He was a cute ginger/blondine with thick legs and huge feet in Birkenstock sandles. He was very adoreable like a big baby, but when you’re that young your body should be rock hard, not doughy from the three B’s of too much bread, bier and bratwurst.
Just today at the Xerox place a tall lanky Norweigan started a chittle chat while a bubble butt Turkish youth was giving me Ankara kitten mixed with raggle taggle Barney Google eyes trying to get my attentions. He was pretty but I don’t like men with little hands, little feet and no shoulders.
Even some muscular Afro-Cuban top model looking boy came up to me and boldly asked if I was a top. I think he was Afro Cuban, though he could have also been Brazilian with his honey colored braeun skin. He was very handsome with quite a sizeable rack on him, but I could tell he was a crystal meth queen because he was acting very tweaky and couldn’t focus while he talked to me which isn’t very flattering. I think his booty hole was dialating from the drugs and it was turning him into a jennyanykind.
Luckily I got a phone call from Love Camel and was able to excuse myself. When I finished the call I noticed he had trotted down the street with an aging sex lizard in leather pants who must be in town for the Fulsom Street Festival.
Will be in a group show called Bloodyminded that opens Sept 15th here in Berlin put on by the wonderful art children from New York who represent me at the Invisble Exports Gallery. This show will be at someplace I have never heard of called The Wye. Below is the link.

Lately I have been overcome with thoughts of a group of girls I use to hang out with back in the early and mid 1980s in Los Angeles. They were a closely knit gaggle of middle class gals from the Valley and Hollywood Hills and I believe we first met at hardcore punk rock venues like Godzillas in North Hollywood, which was run by the Better Youth Organization of the Valley hardcore band Youth Brigade featuring the Stern Bros who are featured in the punk documentary Another State of Mind. At one time I had a crush on Sean Stern who went to Taft High School with Jane Wiedlin of the GoGo’s. Ok now I am moving in Finnigan’s Wake territory so please be patient with me and my island of the stream of conscienceness.
I could have also met this group of girls at The ON Klub in Echo Park on Sunset Blvd which was a mod hangout for the early two-tone scene in Los Angeles which was a spinoff of the British mod revival but with Southern California charm and personality instead of English angst. Some of the girls were in relationships with members of the mod band The Untouchables or their hangers on. The cutest member of the Untouchables was Clyde Grimes a very stylish black boy who I believe was gay and had a relationship with a young graphic artist named Rick Newsome who use to work with Robert Fusfield. I met Rick and Robert through my connection to the Mod Magazine Twist that was published by Dave Lumian. I started as a writer on Twist and later became a Features Editor and even tried my hand at selling advertising which I was lousy at. Some of the other people at Twist Magazine: the sweet cougar Tina Silvey who became quite a successful video and commercial advertising producer. I adored Tina, she had great taste in men and I believe married one of her youthful blondine angels. Then there was Maris Sofar also a cougar but who preferred urban black boys. She went out with one of the guys in The Untouchables for quite sometime till he dumped her for someone his own age. Oh and then there was Miri Day who later moved to New Jersey, got married and I lost touch with her. Dave Lumian was not only the manager of the Untouchables at the height of their popularity but also some other post punk bands like Downey Mildew. Anyone remember them? Dave was also involved in a lot of liberal causes an occasionally wrote for the LA Weekly. I liked Dave, but he was a bit nebbishy, he later married an Asian woman and had children with her and moved to boring Venice Beach. I’ll never forget that Dave Lumian when he saw the Afro Sisters perform felt that we weren’t political enough. Of course that’s something that a tired well meaning white liberal would say to a black person. Dave felt that because The Afro Sisters used humour in our approach that it lacked substance. That’s something I have been battling for many years with tired clueless critics of my work. I wonder what happened to Dave Lumian and his Twist Management Company. The girl who ran his business was this cutie pie named Laurel Stearns. Laurel was still working for Dave in the 1990s because one of their bands played at my Club Sucker at the Garage in Silverlake and that was most likely the last time I saw both Dave and Laurel.
Getting back to the middle class girl gang that I use to hang with----- Su Ming who later became a makeup artist at MAC Cosmetics. Su Ming was a party girl extroidinaire, and all around good time Sally. She could be very catty and dismissive but usually done in a playful mode. Her sense of style was impeccable and very sophisticated. I think she became a lipstick lesbian. One of her best girlfriends was another striking beauty named Dina who had the gait and poise of a ballet dancer, which made sense because her aunt was Miss Denice of the Stanley Holden Dance Studios in Westwood on Pico Blvd. Miss Denice had worked with Gene Kelly in the 1940s and 50s at MGM. I took ballet clases briefly from Miss Denice along with Dina and her beautiful blond cousin Michelle Karlich and my friend from UCLA Rachel Diaz. Michelle Karlich was a pure sweatheart and was not a ferocious partygoer, but she didn’t shy away from the party scene either and had a nice subdued style that wasn’t as trendy as the other girls in this clicka. One of whom was Kelli Stahlings who looked just like a young Judy Garland with the most ravishing pale skin and reddish brown hair. Kelli lived on Mulholland Drive and came from a very wealthy family. Her handsome older brother was a sexy skier. Kelli had such personality and could make a Doberman pinscher laugh out loud with the incredible comic expressions she wore on her face, and her style was that of an actress from the late 1930s and early 1940s. She didn’t look like someone from the modern era of that time in the 1980s. I really loved Kelli, she and Michelle Karlich could dig really deep with you but in a playful way. Did Kelli wind up married with children? Michelle Karlich and I stayed in touch for a much longer period of time. She even came to Bricktops at the Parlour Club and brought a gorg of her film industry gay workmates and drinking buds and they were having a hoot of a time. I forgot exactly what Michelle did for a living but I believe it was something within the administrative end of film production. She owned a lovely small house in Studio City and Fertile La Toyah Jackson and I went to one of her houseparties around the turn of the century. I hardly ever go to houseparties so that tells you how much I liked Michele. The other girls in this group were Jenny Klein who I met when she worked on Melrose Avenue at the store Graue that was run my Claudia Graue. I worked across the street at Retail Slut. Jenny looked like a more statuesque version of Molly Ringwald. At one time Jenny became part of the entourage of Cee Farrow and April La Rue, which was not a good thing. I will have to go into that at another rememberance. Laura who was a bit on the portly side, was Jewish like Jenny and worked at one time as a makeup artist at a makeup studio in the Beverly Center beore MAC cosmetics began its cosmetics reign. Laura later lost quite a bit of weight. Then there was Sherry who was very tall and use to act a bit ditsy, Valerie who was a model,Cynthia a Beverly Hills girl whose rich aunt supported her. This aunt must have been quite wealthy indeed as she owned a Faberge Egg. Cynthia started an underground club in the mid 80s called Social Lies which I always thought was a good name for a club. This was around the time I did a club called Barefoot Boy Club in a 1920s storage facility on Western Avenue at 8th Street. Cynthia now lives in New York. Back in the day she was diagnosed with Lupis. I hope she has that disease under control. There were many dance clubs at that time that we all went to with names like Power Tools, Nairobi Room, Dirtbox, Rhythm Lounge at the Grandia Room and Rhythm Louge SoHo on North Spring Street near the Woman’s Building, Larry Lazar’s many club nights and later Plastic Passion, The Apartment hosted by the notorious Cee Farrow&April LaRue and Tommy Gear from the Screamers, and a host of other clubs the names I forget. Also on the periphery of these girls was Peacefrog aka Steve who worked at Vinyl Fetish record store and was one of the first people to champion The Afro Sisters by playing our cassette tapes in the store during the day. Peacefrog was in a popular post Paisley Underground band called The Clay Idols and was a gifted poet. I think he now lives in Portland, Oregon. Through Peacefrog I met a girl named Andi and her boyfriend Dave Cunningham who would become an integral part of some early Afro Sisters performance pieces like The Inter- Racial Dating Game and Fertile’s Last Dance. Later Dave became boyfriends with Edith “Head” Gonzales who was rooommates for many years with Fertile La Toyah Jackson when Fertile rented a large Victorian house in Pasadena. I think Dave Cunningham still works at Amoeba Records in Hollywood being one of those middle class white boys who has talent—he was quite good in our stage productions, and he plays my boyfriend in one Afro Sisters early video shot on film, but unfortunately Dave didn’t have any ambition or drive. Maybe he’s a pothead, that would make sense. I know he graduated from UCLA in Film. He showed me one of the movies he made with Edith “Head” Gonzalez as the star. It wasn’t very good. For many years I had a bit of a crush on Dave. He was the ultimate dorky blondine white boy. I always go for the same type. One time when he was drunk we got a bit frisky with each other in his car, I think that freaked him out so after that he remained nice to me but kept me at a regal distance. Though he did call me one time during my reign at Bricktops at the Parlour Club. One of his gay friends was looking for a bartender job and had applied to The Parlour Club, and Dave wanted me to put in a good word for him with the owner Lenny---but I didn’t.
Through Leslie Beatty who was my first Clitoris Turner in the Afro Sisters and who worked at Cowboys & Poodles on Melrose Avenue I met Tim Hensley who achieved quite a local cult following in the late 80s with his band The Victor Banana. Tim Hensley and Dave Cunningham were classmates Grant High School in the Valley. Tim had another earlier band called Carousel of Death with Patrick McGuinn whose famous father Roger McGuinn was leader of the 60s pop group The Byrds. Tim also had another side music project called The InsideOut which featured my future PME bass player Dean Opseth who was in Peacefrogs band Clay Idols. Oh and Big Dicque Sneaky Pete Tomlinson my drummer with PME he use to work at CowPoo’s and would fuck Leslie Beatty while they were working behind the counter at the store. I’d walk into the boutique to visit with them and Pete would be giving it to her from behind. Ah those were the salad days on Melrose Avenue.

Was sitting in the park enjoying one of the last warm days of the season when a man came jogging past me and I swear he looked like a fusion of Don Knotts from the film The Incredible Mr. Limpett and 60s TV personality Wally Cox.
Did I mention that I saw Woody Allen’s newest film To Rome with Love at a press screening and its quite an unusual offering. I liked it better then his box office hit Midnight in Paris, but that doesn’t say much.
Judy Davis is amazing, but not given much to do but be the straight man for Allen’s set up to his jokes. Poor young Jesse Eisenberg he’ll never become a leading man when he holds the hand of a woman he’s suppose to have just boinked like it’s a soiled dish rag. It would have been far more interesting if Mr. Eisenberg and Mr. Baldwin were having an affair with each other. I think that was most likely the initial idea, but Mr. Allen balked on it as he has a hard time dealing with homosexuality. So instead we wind up with some two bit naturalistic magical realism.
Did I forget to mention I hate Roberto Benigni and all the other two feet tall Italian men in this picture. And isn’t it about time someone else started to portray Penelope Cruz in the Penelope Cruz role? Oh and please bring back Ann Roth as costume designer for Woody Allen films. And get a good hairstylist. Did the stars have to do their own hair and wardrobe? Ellen Page could have used some Dippity Doo or even Wet Lubricant on that raggedy mop on her head. I’ve never seen an ingénue looking so unkept in a major film property. Even though a lot of people walked out on this one I stayed valiantly to the end.
