GEWINNEN SIE EINE TRAUMREISE
Rising Stars, Falling Stars explosive 120th birthday celebration of Charlie Chaplin was SRO as the Blue Bros. Tim & kJohnny performed beautifully and gracefully composing a compeling score to the short subjects from 1914 Masquerade, Caught in a Cabaret, His Trysting Place and the hilarious His Pre-historic Past. The audience appreciated the famed tale of Chaplins queering exploits with AC Blumenthal and Harry d’Arrast and a bevy of young male prostitutes in the palatial suite of New York’s Ambassador Hotel where the little tramp covered his erection in iodine to keep from contracting a venereal disease.
Also celebrating their birthday, the daper composer and musicologist Volker Straebel with a large assortment of his BFF´s including lovesexy Mattias Osterwold, the Music director of Maerz Music, Gabriele Knapstein, curator of the Hamburger Bahnof, and Vincent Hediger, film scholar with Buchum University. Also seen the vivacious ballerina Beatrice “Trixie” Cordua, handsome Catherine Sullivan dancer Assof Hochman with beau Alexander the Great of Macedonia with his cute film school posse that includes the beautiful French/German boy Julian, LA fashion designer Cornel Collins,Daniel Hendrickson the Scandanavian Muslim, Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras who will be mixing his new album in Toronto so will be away from Berlin for six weeks during which time Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters will be subleting his spacious Neu Kölln compound, Boris Lauser the raw foods celebrity chef with his perky San Francisco pals, Christian “F” Weber, Claudia & Garret, Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus who also just celebrated a milestone birthday, German pop star Cleuso, curly haired booty pie artist Bertrand Bodenave, Alannah Weston creative director of Selfridges, male ingenue Jake Myerson of The Lost Child with his mother Julie Myerson, British provacateuse Isabela Blow with writer Hamish Bowles, art star Elias Hassos, art director Julia-Restoin Roitfeld,Christian Siekmier of Exile Gallery with Japanese artist Kazuko Miyamoto whose String and Thread opening is Friday April 18th from 7-10pm at Exile which is located at Alexandrinenstr 4 www.Thisisexile.com.
EIN PATIENTENRATGEBER DER HEXAL AG
Got a personal invite from Rufus Wainwright to attend the production of Shakespeares Sonette at the famed Berliner Ensemble that he collaborated on with Robert Wilson. Rufus and i re-connected at the going away party for Judy LaBruce at Pork last Monday night. He really looks good, i haven´t seen him since he came to my performance art club G.I.M.P. Unltd back in 2000. Rufus had been a regular at my Sunday afternoon punk rock beer bust Club Sucker in Silverlake way before his first album came out.
I knew he had a German boyfriend, but what i didn´t know till recently that his Deutsch beau is Jörg Weisbrot who starred in my Berlin Stories series of short films I made back in 2001 with multi talented Susanne Sachsse. Jörg is a handsome, tall dark and strapping specimen of uber male verility and for years worked as Robert Wilson´s assistant in Germany. I hadn´t seen Jörg since 2001 and he looks even younger now then he did almost ten years ago, and sleeker. He and Rufus were wearing matching sequinned tuxedos. Also in attendance at this mega event was the baby diaper Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters. Rufus also introduced me to British pop legend Neil Tennant of The Pet Shop Boys who is very charming and i think is now living in Berlin. Don´t hold me to that because i could be wrong. I do work on high journalistic principles of verifying things by at least two sources.
Jake Shears is definately living in Berlin for at least the Spring and Summer.
Now what about the performance of Shakespeares Sonnet? Well it was lovely in that Robert Wilson way of gorgeous set design, sound and lighting. Lots of mega bucks went into this production and it shows. The Issey Miyake like costumes were suspermb! The actual costumes were designed by Jacques Reynaud. The performances were also top notch, and Rufus´music lilting. La Rufus even gifted the audience with not one, but two reprises of the shows hit songs. Of course with a Bob Wilson production things don´t change that much. The performers glide across the stage in that Klaus Nomi like way that you always see in a Wilson production and the tableaux vivant created are sumpteous. In all it was quite an enjoyable evening at the theatre seeing a blue chip piece of work.

SEX HATTE ICH FREHER GENUG
Two weeks and a jolly good time in tres expensive Zurich collaborating with Bruce La Bruce and Susanne Sachsse on Macho Family Romance at the Neumarkt Theatre. Also part of the extended Macho Family was Pierce and Massimo of the Anarcocks and Black Sun Productions who brilliantly created the music and sound for the piece. It was lovely working with the mighty Anarcocks and cute little art scion Lukas Beyeler whose production design encompassed the visuals and video projections of this mixed media collage attack. Macho as a piece featured inspiration from the neglected film versions of Jean Genet´s The Maids and The Balcony with heavy assist from John Cassavettes Killing of a Chinese Bookie, Clair Denis's Beau Trevail,Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket with Robert Aldrich's The Killing of Sister George and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane thrown in for good measure. Susanne and I portrayed two slightly incestous sisters Beyonce and Solange Le Mercier. Beyonce is the Madame of a boydello and i am the secretary/bookkeeper of the place resentful that my sexy baracuda older sister gets to train and dominate the humpy male concubines. The Beyonce/Solange thing mirrors Glenda Jackson and Susanne York's power struggle in The Maids as well as the Shelly Winters/Lee Grant lesbianic relationship in The Balcony. Because of my gout condition i was forced to perform in a wheelchair and thats where the Baby Jane/ SisterGeorge interplay comes in. Judy La Bruce turned this into a lip sync Ballet tableaux. La Judy is definately making a name for herself on the live stage front and should continue venturing into this arena, something that began when we came up with the idea of having her direct us in CHEAP Blacky last year.
Macho was in all quite ambitious a project for such a short period of time to put together, but never underestimate the drive and power of Ms. Sachsse who is boundless energy personified and is always coming up with great ideas and making things work. I wish i had half of her stamina. That is why Susanne is the fearless leader of kollective CHEAP.
Magnificent as the temple prostitutes was the Neumarkt's male ensemble. It was glorious working with handsome singing sensation Thiemo Strutzenberger, who tackled You Stepped Out Of A Dream better then Tony Martin in Ziegfeld Girl, also divine beauty boy Jorg Koslowsky, who re-interpreted Fred Astair in Royal Wedding in one of Macho's fabricant production numbers. Uber manlische Alpha male Sigi Terpooten was the unofficial leader of the ensemble and reminds me of 1940s era matinee idols. Delightful ingenue with the hottest tightest little bubble butt Thomas Müller looked so strident in his high heels and sock garters, and debonair Matthias Breitenbach has the best comic timing short of Buster Keaton in his heydey. Matthias was really working that street lamp during his red light district scenes. I also had a great time hanging out with him and his gorgeous actress/wife who is a pal of Berlin legendina ZaZie de Paris.
We had only 5 days to work with the actors, but they delved into the workshopping of the piece with passion, creativity and committment. Alchemy was adherent with the Macho Family and a new phenomena born.
Barbara Weber the Neumarkt's Theatre head honcha took us to a fancy din din at the famous Kronen Halle, Zurich's best restaurant, then afterward we went to the Kino Xenix where they were having a BLAB retrospective that began with the Zurich premiere of Otto. The luscious 35 mm print glowed.
The performances of Macho Family were all sold out with the youngest crowds the theatre has ever seen. For the opening,Judy LaBruce, Black Sun Productions and I DJ'd at the Macho Party. Seen in the audience for the performance and the party: Antony Hegarty of Antony and the Johnsons, Daniel Perics, Garret Nelson, Iba and Michael Halves of Super 700, who earlier in the week performed an acoustic set of their new songs, Elvis Perkins the musician son of the late Anthony Perkins, Dimitrina of Bulgaria, that walking career Heiko Pfost, filmmaker Corlotta Steinmann and fashion designer Mona Lisa Madörnin. Special thanks to our Production Manager Anna Muelter, my assistant The Love Camel, our jock strap clad rollerboogie boys Richard Wagner, Jorg and muscular ginger Giuseppe, LaRissa and Elizabeth of the Neumarkt Administration and our wonderful assistant director, the handsome Robert Gerloff and his pretty girlfrind Gabriela Neubauer, also Ralf Fiedler, make-up mistress Denise Christen, behind-the-scenes talent: Twist Sopek, Ueli Duttweiler and Franz Fleischmann.
SCHNELLER, STARKER, SCHLANK
Back in Berlin and its finally Spring. The folks at Pork at Frankenstein 5000 gave Judy LaBruce a special Monday edition going away party with all the trimmings. Ms. Davis and Baby Diaper Joel Gibb worked the wheels of steel along with some tag teaming with La Judy. The old Frankenstein has probably never seen so many celebs with lovesexy Jake Spears of The Scissor Sisters, Rufus Wainwright in town performing for the Robert Wilson production at the Berliner Ensemble and art photog Wolfgang Tillmans. Also seen in the throng: Parisian “It” boy Christophe Chermin, DJ Snax who did an impromptu performance from his new album, writer Travis Jeppeson with his Slovakian beau Mario, intermedia actress Susanne Sachsse and film historian Marc Siegel who are off to the USA for holiday, Anna Muelter, plus Rupert Goldworthy who will be opening a new gallery here in Berlin.

DAS KINDERTAGBUCH
In Zurich preparing for the Bruce La Bruce hostile takeover Macho Family Romance that features Susanne Sachsse, Black Sun Productions and the male actors of the Neumarkt Theatre. The theatre has put us in the glam boutique hotel Plattenhof near the University of Zurich. My room is gorgeous with a grand vista outside the windows. The staff here are very sweet and accomodating. Its lovely to be away from Berlin.
Massimo and Pierce of Black Sun Productions had us over for a delicious feast of a dinner, where we met Lukas Beyele, who will also be working on this production. Last night Judy LaBruce and i went to the rent boy bar Carousel and saw some scrumpteous specimens of Brazilian bubblebuttness, and Shiva, the local Zurich celebrity TV psychic who was drinking at the small pub with a large entourage of sychophants. Earlier in the evening we saw the Neumarkt Theater production of Anna Karenina directed by Barbara Weber who is the attendant of the theater. The piece started off like a melodramatic retelling of Tolstoy ala Douglas Sirk. I loved the music that was used and wished there was more of it throughout, and of course the set design was magnificent. We will be using the same set for our production that premieres April 4th.
Received some distressing news from Berlin. Ronald Tavel died on the airplane on his way back home to Bancock. Below is the letter sent to all the participants of Live Film. Mr. Tavel was a great talent and will be missed by the world.

Dear Friends,

It is with deep sadness and great regret that we write to inform you of the
death of Ronald Tavel. We were notified Wednesday afternoon that Ron died on
his return trip to Bangkok. The exact cause of death is still unknown to us.
We are shocked by this horrible news. Ron is survived by his brother,
Harvey, and scores of friends worldwide.
It was certainly clear to all in attendance this past weekend that Ron is of
central importance to the LIVE FILM! (jack smith) Festival, to any
discussion of Jack Smith¹s life and work, to Andy Warhol¹s filmmaking, and
to the development of Œ60s off-off Broadway theater. Many of us had the
great pleasure of working with Ron eight years ago when we invited him to
Berlin to develop a performance with us that paid homage to Carmen Miranda
and Jack Smith called CHEAP JEWELRY: A Fruitbasket for JS. Excited by this
collaboration, Ron spontaneously suggested staging a new production of his
seminal screenplay/stage play The Life of Juanita Castro. Juanita Castro was
performed once in Berlin in Podewil in May 2001 under Ron¹s direction,
starring Vaginal Davis as Juanita and Susanne Sachsse as Fidel. Concluding
his extended reflection on this production for Theater Heute¹s yearbook,
Diedrich Diederichsen wrote, ³Ronald Tavel was-and isahead of his time.²
While in Berlin, Matthias Haase and Marc Siegel conducted a lengthy
interview with Ron, an excerpt of which was published in German in the book
Golden Years. Throughout the interview, Ron talked extensively about his
theater career, the emergence of the Theater of Ridiculous out of his work
with Warhol, his relationship to Smith and his and Smith¹s fascination for
Maria Montez. About Smith, Ron said: ³I would never mention Maria Montez in
public before I met him, because that would seem like talking about a very
private thing. It was nobody else¹s business. They wouldn¹t understand. It
was somewhat embarrassing too. In that way, he freed me up.² At the end of
his excellent essay about Smith and Montez, ³Maria Montez: Anima of an
Antediluvian World,² Ron writes:
"I was living in New Orleans and trying to rouse a roommate too dissolute to
go out on the street and get a job when Penny Arcade called me to tell me
that Jack had died. I dropped the phone, and ran away from it, sobbing and
jabbering, ³No! No! No!²
And I was a kid in Coney Island gathering my courage to conquer a fearful
fantasy by getting on the cloud-topped Wonder Wheel, when its loudspeaker,
tune to a radio station, blasted a new bulletin: the death of Maria Montez,
she¹d drowned in her bath in far-off France. It made no sense. Like every
little boy on my block, I was set on growing up to marry her. What would
happen now? I couldn¹t process the information. I decided to dismiss it. By
then no one had spoken about her for a while, anyhow. I boarded a car on the
Wheel and it took me up haltingly farther off the ground than I¹d ever been
in my life. From the windows of the car when it reached its height, the
quarter-million people on the beach, the great gray Atlantic beyond them,
and the world¹s largest amusement park seemed small."
Due to the exhilarating and productive work we had done with Ron, we were
thrilled that LIVE FILM! (jack smith) gave us the opportunity to bring him
back to Berlin to collaborate on a new project. On Sunday, the day before he
died, Anna, Matthias H., Susanne and Marc spent a lovely, long afternoon
with him discussing the events of the weekend and his plans for the festival
in October. We asked Ron if he would program and introduce one of Maria
Montez¹s films in the context of the festival. He agreed and said
immediately, ³You¹ll have to screen Siren of Atlantis.² After the intensity
of those compact two days, this leisurely, relaxed afternoon together
brought the weekend to a delightful close. Ron was at his most charming and
we all relished in his talents as a witty raconteur and an experienced
gentleman of the theater. He was excited about writing a new play for the
festival to pay homage to Jack Smith, one that he was going to call either
Que dices? or What did she say? We spent a great deal of time tossing around
ideas in HAU 1 (the old Hebbel theater) where the play was to take place in
October. Ron was particularly interested in involving a number of people
from the festival in the production. We left him that evening, all of us
full of excitement and hope about his new play and our future collaboration.
We remain in shock and saddened by his loss. We realize as well that all of
us involved in this LIVE FILM! (jack smith) project have had the great
fortune to spend Ron¹s last weekend with him, an exhilaratingly productive
weekend of watching Jack Smith¹s films in Kino Arsenal and discussing
Smith¹s work, the work of Ron¹s long-time collaborator and friend in things
ridiculous, things beautiful.
When we receive information about plans for a memorial service or
suggestions for donations or further assistance, we will be in touch. We
will also ensure that Ron¹s centrality to the LIVE FILM! (jack smith)
project is evident in the festival in October in Berlin.

Sadly,
Susanne Sachsse, Marc Siegel, Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, Anna Mülter, Nadja
Talmi, and Matthias Lilienthal

UNCLE PASTY
After years of neglect and bad diet, its finally caught up with me and my knee problems have turned more urgent. Thank god i have foreigners insurance here in Berlin. I won´t go into all the specifics at this time, but i am taking all this medication and will be performing my next show in Zurich, a collaboration with Judy LaBruce and Susanne Sachsee called Macho Family Romance in a wheelchair ala Miss Joan Crawford in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. My illness couldn´t have come at a worse time, being that i am busy with this Jack Smith Live Film project which involves lots of discussions and screenings of the Smith ouvre as restored by the great Jerry Tartaglia of the Plaster Foundation. The last few days has been overwhelming in long deep discourse with Penny Arcade, Jim Hoberman of the Village Voice, filmmaker Ela Troyano, handsome Israeli artist Uzi Parnes and legendary filmmaker and experimental musician Tony Conrad who was in Normal Love. Things got heated, but stayed for the most part pretty calm among those who have shared close relations with Jack Smith and his legacy. The European crew touched by Smith hands: Beatrice "Trixie" Cordua and her husband Ludvig Schönherr and W&B Hein.
The participating names in this event is staggering. Its the ultimate list of greats upon greats: Callie Angell, Antonio Baehr/Werner Hirsch, Tim Blue, Pauline Boudry, Nao Bustamente, Christophe Chemin, Senator Douglas Crimp, Martin Dannecker, Diedrich Diederichsen, Jennifer Doyle, Ulrich Goss, Karola Gramann, Herbert Gschwind, Matthias Haase, Nanna Heidenreich, John Heys, Oliver Husain, Dominic Johnson, Andrew Kerton, Sean Michael Kirk, Jakob Lena Knebl, Michael Krebber, Renate Lorenz, Marie Losier, Jose Munoz, Ulrike Ottinger, Juliane Rebentisch,Evi Rüsseler, Hans Scheirl, Heide Schlüpmann, Isabell Spengler, Tim Stüttgen, Juan Suarez, Ronald Tavel, Klaus Walter, Guy Maddin, Julianna Snapper, Richard Dyer, Amy Taubin, Jose´Teunissen with the curatorial team being Susanne Sachsse, Marc Siegel Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, Anna Mülter, Nadja Talmi, Kristian "Kiki" Petersen and Olga Damnitz.
Whew. I am excited about this two part event which will reconvene in the fall. I want to write more about seeing such films as No Presidents, Sinbad of Bagdad and Jungle Island, but i am exhausted and have to prepare for Zurich so i must leave you all horndoggy and anxious.

UNSERE NEUEN LIEBLINGS-LOOKS
I´ve been hearing rumblings that the US of A is looking to The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money by John Maynard Keynes in a feeble attempt at fixing this global financial Irwin Allen complex. Mr. Keynes who went to Cambridge´s Kings College was a big nutty fagula and anti-semite, so boning on his principles won´t alleviate this ga-mess. Those of you who follow my blog religiously know that I predicted the pattymeltdown waaay back in 2002 when i got ceremoniously kicked out of my huge Koreatown flat in Los Angeles. As an early blogger, before the term was even coined i was telling the gospel truths that the mainsteam media wouldn´t dare touch. I also heralded the kingdom news back in the 1980s in print form with my Fertile LaToyah Magazine. Now of course newspapers and magazines the world over are hurting because they have been made obsolete—well its their own damnacus fault. Those who live by the status quo die by it. Of course none of that matters now that i am living in beautiful, but bleak Berlin. What does matter is that there is finally a whiff of spring in the air.
Saturday March 14th the monthly event i curate Rising Stars, Falling Stars salute to the Japanese silent classic A Page of Madness (Karuta Ipege) directed by Kenogasa Tanoske was a huge hit with the Berliners. There were lots of first timers to my program at Arsenal Institute für Film und Video Kunst. Eunice Martin on piano played majestically putting the audience in a well fortified trance that went nicely with the equally transcedent images on the screen. The after screening reception hosted a bevy of shiny shineys including the lovesexy young Brazilian filmmaking duo Melissa Dullius & Gustavo Jahn whose luscious short subject Triangulum played at Forum Expanded in the Sensory Spaces #1 program, handsome and well hung Japanese American artist Dean Sameshima was being charming and vivacious as he flitted about and flirted with Scandanavian beauty, photographer and multi-media artist Benjamin Alexander Huseby who is part of the group exhibit Psychometry at Exile Gallery. The stunning Mr. Sameshima and Mr. Huseby sure can turn heads. Also representing Forum Expanded the powerful filmmaker and UDK professor Isabelle Spengler whose short LINT LENT LAND – Does that mean “Dust has temporarily given this land its form”? which was a big hit at the Berlinale Film Festival chatted with New York artist Alina and Turkish set designing hunkatia Senol Senturk. US Scholar Devin Fiore rubbed shoulders with Joel Gibb of Torontos The Hidden Camera just back from a well deserved three day holiday in Cuba with his physical therapist to the shtars boyfriend Enrico. Waif like raw foods celebrity chef Boris Lauser was telling everyone about his holiday in Cambodia while downtown New York legendina John Heys regaled partygoers about Hounen Matsuri, the Japanese Penis Day where the people of the town of Komaki, about 250 miles south of Tokyo celebrate a fertility festival each year on March 15th. The festivities include a mile-long processional route to the shinto shrine of Tagata Jinja that echoes with the sounds of bamboo flutes and the chant “Hoh-sho, hoh-sho” while a group of half naked men carry this giant erect penis carved from a single cypress tree trunk. The spirit of penii day was certainly alive in the Rote Foyer with Berlin “It boy” Gunnar Neumann, British live art star Richard Hancock , Alexander the Great of Macedonia aka: Tilemachos-Alexios Alexiou, Sasha of bbooks with husband Jannas and a sweet visiting McGill University of Montreal academic. It was lovely seeing that red scarf boy Michel P. , Piero Bellomo of La Collezionne with lover Daniel “Haji” Hendrickson, inter media actress Susanne Sachsse with film historian beau Marc Siegel, Anna Muelter, Israeli juicy Lior Shamreiz, Italian auteur Nanni Moretti, Nanna Heidenreich of Arsenal Experimental, DJ Olga Damnitz, and socialites Colette Van den Thillart with sleek Ali Spencer-Churchill.
*
Joel Gibb the baby diaper of the Hidden Cameras and Anna Muelter surprised me by taking me to lunch at this cute little cafe not far from my Rote Insel studio The Cheese Endique Trifecta. Joel gave me the complete skinny on his trip to Cuba and relayed hilarious stories about some German and Canadian sex tourists on the island scooping up mounds of Afro Cuban endowments.
After a photo session with Vanity Fair, who have joined the ranks of doing yet another Berlin ex-patriot story i was feeling frisky with a second windstrill and decided to go to Pork at Ficken 3000 which is also known as Frankenstein 5000. Porky host Tennessee Clafin (aka: Baby Brian), the famed ex-Mormen concubine to A-list directors Gus Van Sant and Bryan Singer was back in the United States so the supurb guest DJ tag team of teenage writing sensation Travis Jeppeson and his super hottie Slovakian lover Mario Dzurila took over. The place was packed with uninhibited nubile teenagers who really take to the clubs motto of drink, dance, strip and f*ck. The chicken hawks were in a feeding frenzy not able to focus with so much Jack Smithian over stimulation.
Later in the evening was a special set of super mixing by a punky Scandanavian DJ who also fronts a local band. I had a long lovely conversation with a cute young Italian artist named Pietro from Florence who just moved to Berlin, and a humpy Russian named Deemeetree whose card says “performance, video, music, schizophrenia, electricity”. The Russian youth had seen my performance at the Politics of Ecstasy Festival and loved how i handled the religious theme. In all Marilyn was getting moist being around such an eclectic assortment of children happy to be someplace with a raunchy spirit and raucaus vibe. I give an A+ to hooded Master Patrick as the guardian at the gate.

LIDSCHATTEN VERSCHMIERT
Invited to Anna Muelter´s lively 21st birthday soiree at the Austrian boite Ginos in Kreuzberg. Miss Anna Muelter is Berlin´s #1 go to production gal at the Hebbel Theatre, and one young lady that all of CHEAP depend upon. We first started working with her in 2007 with CHEAP Blacky, and now none of us can imagine life without her. Anna also works with superstar Peaches.
At the end of March i will be going to Zurich, Switzerland to collaborate with Bruce La Bruce and Susanna Sachsse to work on the male hysteria project Macho Family Romance, but before that Anna has been coordinating everything with the Jack Smith Live Film Festival curated by Ms. Sachsse and her boyfriend film historian Marc Siegel that will take place in two sections in the Spring and Fall at the Arsenal Institut für Film und Video Kunst and Hebbel Theatres. Helping Anna celebrate her birthday in high glam style at Ginos Southern German Cookery in Kreuzberg was handsome Israeli dancer Aasaf Hochman and his beautiful honeypot Alexander the Great of Macedonia, curatorial assistant Nadja Talmi, Forum Expanded´s Nanna Heidenreich with famed DJane Olga Damnitz, set designer Senol Senturk, filmmaker and musician Tim Blue, Daniel “Haji” Hendrickson, the sexy Ms. Sachsse, gorgeous Turkish artist Nevin Aladag and juicy art presenter Stefanie Wenner.
ARBEIT NERVT
Last Saturday sexy bubble butt Nanna Heidenreich decided to have a post birthday bash for the Doll Vaginal Davis at her spacious Bergmanstrasse graveyard compound. The food was mega delicious featuring roasted Chicken Tikka with two kinds of three cheese mashed potatos, carmelized onions and a gamey glitter salad. Of course the fancy French Champagne never stopped flowing. Getting down in helping to raise the dead: Tim Blue and his new LA fashion designer boyfriend Cornel Collins, Scandanavian Muslim Daniel Hendrickson, DJane Olga Damnitz with roommates Senol Senturk and Natasha of Persia, Nicole Wolfe´s demure Danish artist girlfriend Eline MacGeorge with her sweetie pie Irish pal, naked big peniled DJ Acme Singt, sculptor DeRohan Chabot with super hunky Israeli actor Liron Levo who used to be the beau of actress Natalie Portman.
INNI MER SYNGUR VITLEY SINGUR
Went to the premier of Alexander the Great of Macedonia´s new feature film The Logic of The Cat. The German/Greek co-production is amazing. Filmed on location in Athens during the student uprisings and features a young Greek Adonis with a penis bursting out of his skimpy underwear. The boy reminds me of a younger version of Greek filmmaker and curator Vassily Bourakis. Seen at the casual private screening: “It Girl” Anna Muelter, Assaf Hochman, the boyfriend of the director, French/German Julian, the directors best friend who is young, beautiful and very well hung, the films handsome director of photography and his pretty girlfriend, artiste Philippe Comtesse and an assortment of UDK bright young things.
***
This Saturday i will be hosting the first Rising Stars, Falling Stars for 2009 with a screening of the Japanese film silent A Page of Madness from 1926. So tell all your Berlin pals to flock to The Arsenal Institut fur Film & Video Kunst this Saturday 10pm at the intimate Theatre 2 in Potsdamer Plotz at the Sony Center. After the screening la diva will host a wine and mood stabilizing drug reception in the Rote Foyer.

RUDERN FÜR EINE BESSERE ZUKUNFT
Said my tearful goodbye to Ulrich Ziemons, the Forum Expanded beauty boy who will be in New York working at Anthology Film Archive for three months.
Went to see the hilarious documentary Yes Men Save the World with Assaf Hochman and Alexander the Great at Kino Arsenal. The film was made by this gay prankster couple Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno who impersonate corporate entities as part of their political activist strategies. This was the perfect movie for a late Wednesday afternoon. The other day with Assaf i went to see the German film Alle Anderen(Everyone Else) by Maren Ade. The film was about a relationship between a plucky German girl and her dullard architect boyfriend, and i guess its supposed to mirror similar couples of the same generation living in Germany. The actress playing the woman Birgit Minchmayr won the Golden Bear for best actress, and it is easy to see why as she has a wonderful baby dyke manner about her that is breezy and winning. Still i didnt find the story that believable, though i can admit that a lot of straight German woman are more interesting then the men they fancy, but certain elements of this film just didnt ring true to me. On Monday with Daniel “Haji” Hendrickson i went to see the Hello, Dolly screening in 70milimeter. Babs Streisand was lovely with those long pearl colored nails of hers, but i found myself getting all hot and bothered by Danny Lochin, the young male ingenue who plays Barnaby, and is quite the athletic bubble butted blondine dancer, who is just too adorable for wordgobulins. Poor Danny died in 1977 at age 34, murdered by some psychopath who had developed a longing for Danny´s mega tight buttocks. In Hello, Dolly booty pie Danny is paired with a young E.J. Peaker. Does anyone out there remember her as the busty ditzy blonde in all those episodes of Love American Style in the early 1970s. What ever happened to her? She was also a regular guest on Matchgame and other 70s gameshows.
After seeing Alle Anderen with Assaf, he cooked me a nice dinner at his spacious Mitte flat. We were joined by his beau Alex and Anna Muelter. Sunday Anna took me to a delicious birthday breakfast off the canal in Kreuzeburg. Saturday Susanne Sachsse treated me to a birthday lunch at the lovely Austrian restaurant that is in the middle of Friedrichshain Park. We had a gorgeous girly day gossiping and having an all around hoot of a time. Suzi is so warm and generous. She also presented me with a unique silk scarf and an amazing pendant from a new boutique near her house called Freistil. Suzi has the best taste of anyone i know
After my birthday luncheon with Suzi i went to HAU 1 to catch Fight Club´s latest performance. Fight Club is the young theater group at the HAU. I adore my Fight Club kids and i love seeing them grow as performers. I even gave them the name Fight Club. The next day i had a photo shoot at my Cheese Endique Trifecta with the German Magazine Hugs & Kisses that was fun and went really well. I didn´t want to do a typical, literal drag queen photo. I think the resulting pics will be unusual and interesting.
ROTE LIPPEN FÜR DEN DANCE FLOOR
I finally got a chance to watch G.B Jones The Lollipop Generation, the film that has been18 years in the making and features an all star cast that includes Jena von Brücker, Mark Ewert, Calvin Johnson, Mitchell Watkins, Jane Danger, Joel Gibb and Andrew Cecil. My cameo scenes were filmed back in1992 Hollywood and i had a great, wild time doing them. Ms. Jones gave me ample space and opportunity to absorb her scenario so that i could just run amok, and do what i do best-mold dementia.
For those of you not familiar with the great artist Ms. G.B Jones, you should be ashamed of yourself, as she is a hero to millions and singlehandedly is responsible, and is the muse for the riot grrrrl movement, among many other influential movements of the last 25 years. In fact G.B. Jones creates new movements every 15 minutes. There would be no Bruce La Bruce without G.B. Jones as she is the geniustrata behind the heralded magazine JDs, and the feature film No Skin Off My Ass.
Lollipop Generation is bright, crunchy, and crystaline. Looking and feeling like no other movie in circulation these days. Once the YouTube generation gets a proper whiff of the G.B.Jones rawgma theory of cinema everyone will be jumping on the bandwagon.
In describing the film i can only say that it reminds me of Dawn:Portrait of a Teenage Runaway and its sequel Alexander:The Other Side of Dawn but without the TV movie cheese threadiness, and filtered through an early cinema sensibility similar to that of D.W. Griffiths short subjects starring the Gish Sisters but with a knockout sluggo musical score. The only film that comes close to Lollipop is the 1980 West German film Ok Ok Ok The Modern Dance by Christoph Dreher. Even normative film viewers who are only used to the Hollywood type of aesthetic will find themselves spellbound. That is why the flick is shattering box office records at all the film festivals it has been playing at. To see the Lollipop trailer and other G.B.Jones films and videos go to: www.youtube.com/GBJonesTown
Speaking of movies and stars. When i was in Madrid with Dr. Jose Munoz and Nao Bustamente, they gave me the latest hoedown about Lesbian icon Gwen Turner. The beautiful Ms. Turner who was one of the stars and writers of the cable TV hit nighttime soap The L-Word is involved in a sizzling relationship with singer Tracy Chapman. Squirrel Gwen, you climb that tree girl, and get your proverbial gnut!
Went to the Arsenal to see Meet Me In St. Louis MGM, 1944. I hadn´t seen it since the 1970s and was surprised that it wasnt that dated.
The performances of the ensemble cast that includes a marvelous Marjorie “Ma Kettle” Main as the no nonsense maid, a dapperly handsome Leon Ames as the family patriarch, and a brilliantly subdued performance from Mary Astor.
Poor Mary Astor, only 33 yet she looked matronly way before her time, and was forced to play mothers for the rest of her career after St. Louis. And of course i have to mention Judy Garland under the direction of über queen Vincente Minnelli. Judy is flawless. St. Louis holds up much better then Hello Dolly which came out in1970, both films are set around the turn of the last century.
The famous lights out seduction sequence featuring Ms. Garland and Miss Tom Drake is simply gorgeous. Judy was a wild hornpig in those days and loved boning ganymedes. She was righteously plucked that Drake wouldn´t lend her his penis. After all she was Metro´s biggest star and rightly expected her male co-stars to step up to the plate and fullfill their wifely duty. That was how Judy met her first husband at 18, the prissy composer David Rose. It is not commonly known, but Judy was sexually active at a very early age, and most of those daliances were with MGM´s contract homo chorus boys and bit players. As early as 14 Judy was proficient in shrimping, gurgling rimming and fisting. Garland was known as a hot buttery baracuda femme top, even working her itchy knuckles inside platonic girlfriends Lana Turner, Ann Rutherford and Ava Gardner. In St. Louis it was juicy seeing some of the looks of disdain Judy gives Fraulein Drake, who at the time was involved with ginger matinee idol Van Johnson, who died recently. Of course during the filming of MMIST she transfered her affections from young Drake to long-on-the tooth Lady Minnelli, and why not? He made her look ravishingly beautiful. So she married him, and even wrestled out some of his nelly splooge producing that spectacular piece of high faggot art Liza Minnelli.
I didnt remember MMIST being so subversive, but it is. In the Halloween sequence with Margaret O´Brian all the little boys are in full out sex drag, complete with feather boas, and all the kids talk of nothing but killing, torturing and maiming, it is quite unhinged. The crescendo being the implication that Drake(as Garlands boyfriend) has raped and beaten 5 year old O´Brian. Remember this is a WW2 era family film, a huge mega box office hit that inspired a slew of immitations from other Studios like 20th Century Fox´s Centenial Summer and Warners On Moonlight Bay. Hey you academics out there this should be your thesis.
KEIN FRESSEN FÜR DIE GEIER
Was looking at some photos from my first VD as VB performance at my old performance art club GIMP UnLtd that i did with Ron Athey back in 1999-2000. Came across one pic of cute young Adam Harvey of the band Timonium. Adam was so adorable and delicious. Adam is also the nephew of artist Carter Potter. When i first met him he was a big dicked teenager going to college at that hippy dippy school UC Santa Cruz and would come down to Silverlake with his band to performance at my crazy punk rock beer bust Club Sucker. He was straight and had a girlfriend, but that didnt last long. Soon he was in the restroom getting sucked off at Sucker just like all the other young indie rock boys. The last time i saw him was around 2003 with his beautiful Chicano bandmate also named Adam. AH had broken up with his Filipino boyfriend Mario, a nice middle class kid who had a good, high paying job and was financing Adam´s indie rock label. Adam told me he felt bad about breaking up with Mario especially as Mario had developed cancer. I felt sorry for that poor snow queen Mario, he was madly in love with strapping white boy Adam, but i could tell that Adam´s feeling werent completely reciprocal. I hope i never get all muschy over some boy, and start giving him my last dime. Well i don´t think i have to worry about that. Its never happened before so i doubt that suddenly i would become so smitten that i completely lose it over love. Besides no one can make a fool of love out of me, i dont even have a pot to piss in let alone a dime.

WAHRE GESCHICHTE
One surprise treat from viewing movies at the Berlinale this year was seeing Joe Dellasandro at the screening of the new documentary on him called “Little Joe”. Mr. Dellesandro use to be my neighbor when i lived in Los Feliz Village. He also attended NA meetings with Ron Athey in Silverlake. At the time Joe wasn´t doing drugs but had a relapse a short time afterward that i think continues to this day. Nevertheless Joe Dellesandro is an icon of male virility and especially male sexuality on the screen. He is the most buxom male ever photographed, with milk bottle nips that are beyond succulent. I wish the documentary was as scintillating as the subject, and its a shame with all those clips from his days as a teen porn puppy with AMG, Warhol and Italian b movies of the 70s. Little Joe can be hilariously funny and charming in person, but that quality doesn´t come out in this docu, and i can only fault the director. Usually i love documentaries with only one person talking, but somehow this one lacks a groove thing.
Soundless Wind Chime by Kit Hung has a lovely, poetic, meditative feel to it but the main story of a Chinese boy and his Swiss German lover mainly comes across as unappealing and dull. I was more interested in the women in the movie and wanted to know more about them, not the hapless homo romance. If the story is somewhat autobiographical in nature. The snow queen bourgeois Chinese director, and his Swiss boyfriend must be the most boring gay couple in the world. Bernhard Bulling
who plays the white skinhead lover reminds me of a young Moritz Bleibtreau, but in the scenes where his hair is long he registers as a blip on the screen.
I love Ulli Lommel, the star of many Fassbinder films, but his latest directorial effort Absolute Evil—what a horrible title! Is absolutely unwatchable. Bad acting, bad editing, bad makeup, bad lighting and bad sound. Even fitness model/concubine Rusty Joiner´s steroid muscles couldn´t help this lame duck thriller. Seeing Rusty in the film reminded me that i was the first queen to give him a blow job when he first came to Hollywood from Atlanta desperate for stardom. I guess he will now stick to topless bartending and appearing in the work out section of Men´s Fitness in between tending to the personal anal workout sessions of that mag´s fag publisher Jann Wenner.
I loved Catherine Breillat´s Blue Beard, and the Irish TV teen filmish drama Cherrybomb directed by Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros d´Sa that features sexy, young pale skinned ginger Rupert Grint from the Harry Potter films and a dark haired boy named Robert Sheehan who is going to be the new Colin Firth.
Francois Ozon´s flight of fancy film “Ricky” about a flying baby unexpectedly delighted me. This was mainly because of the subdued performances by Alexandra Lamy and handsome barrel chested Sergi Lopez.
I got to see more movies this year then the last two years i participated in the Berlinale with the CHEAP Gossip Studio.
My Forum Expanded performance “Babylonia Gorgon Babble On” was well received. I had a large, yet intimate group of around 20 people that included Jim Hubbard of the Mix Festival, Scott Berry of New Images, Kirsten from Outfest, Anna Multer, Senol Senturk, cute Danish actor Cyron Melville and a hunky Finlander named Samuli Vauramo among other notables. Didnt get a chance to see the film “Eccentricities of a Blond Haired Girl” by the 100 year old Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira, but did see the Sensory Spaces #1 program of Forum Expanded that featured Milena Gierke´s “Toads”, Isabelle Spengler´s gorgeous “Lint Lent Land”, the lovely Triangulum directed by sexy Brazillian couple Gustave Jahn & Melissa Dullius that also starred the pair with cinematographer Michel Balague´ and the masterful performative film event of Wilhelm Hein “Material Film Performance on 35 mm Cinemascope” that featured the music of Tim& kJohnny Blue that was riveting.

CHICAS DE HOY
Second day in Madrid for the Arco Art Fair. They have put me up in the ultra homomodern 5 star hotel Puerta America. Every floor of this joint is designed by a different architect. I am on the fourth floor designed by Eva Castro and Holger Kehne. It looks like the set from the post nuclear winter Robert Altman film Quintet that starred Paul Newman in the 1970s. If it wasn't for my assistant The Love Camel aka: Andrea Novarin i wouldn't have been able to turn on the TV or lights as everything is automatic. Of course all this technology is more trouble then its worth. At least there is a free breakfast that is amazing! The Arco Madrid Hospitality staff are very nice and accomodating.
The Camel and I walked around in the first afternoon and its lovely to be away from cold, brittle Berlin. The weather has been incredible-- cloudless with bright warm sun, around 60 degrees fahrenheit. Madrid has some ugly modern buildings that remind me of the Bonaventure Hotel in downtown LA. Its not what i expected, but since it is my first time in Spain i am thoroughly stoked. Lots of boy eye candy. Pale skinned dark haired men with strong, striking features and nalgas fresca. Professor Dr. Jose Esteban Munoz, the Performance Studies Director of the Tisch School of the Arts of NYU is the curator of my section of the Art Experts Forum. Jose and his vivacious companion John-John treat me to drinks in the overpriced hotel bar, and later a sweet dinner at a local grandma restaurant where I wolfed down a salty entrecote steak. Performing in the art pavillion is problematic. Arco is quite the commercial environment. I felt like i was at the convention center in Los Angeles for a super duper high school science fair. Their was quite an eager crowd coming into our circular tent, but lots of distractions. Dr. Munoz and co-facilitator the dapper noted queer theorist Dr. Jack Halberstam are true pros. Both Dr. Munoz and Dr. Jack worked around every difficulty presented by the surroundings. The theme of our Art Expert series was the economics of failure. Jose showed video and slides and talked about performance collective My Barbarian and Nao Bustamente who would also give a presentation. Jose was in fine form, and charmed the audience with his biting humor and intellectual chopsticks. His tag team partner Dr. Jack riveted the crowd with a timely tome on the Aesthetics of Failure. Dr. Jack is quite an engaging presence, a masterful speaker who exhibits great authority and power, and is incredibly love-sexy. All the femme tops in the audience were creaming, and hanging on to every word. My pussy left a huge puddle on the floor for Dr. Jack, who has a gorgeous goddess of a girlfriend who is as stunning as the young Ava Gardner, and quite dear. It was great hanging out with them and their posse that included Spanish performance artist Esther Ferrer. Also part of the Art Experts forum was the famed choreographer and dancer La Ribot and vivacious Abina Manning who use to curate for the ICA in London, but now lives and works out of Chicago. Had a great time hanging out with Abina and that sweet lady from Toronto who heads V-Tape Film Distribution Company,Wanda Vanderstoop.
Part of Dr. Jack's discourse presented some notes on failure from Walter Benjamin, Jamaica Kincaid and a lovely quote from the late Quentin Crisp, "If at first you don't succeed. Failure may be your style." Dr. Jack really stimulates and you learn so much from her, as she catalogues artists who document failure and awkwardness like Tracy Moffat, Yoko Ono, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Cabello/Carveller.*
Nao Bustamente showed some examples of her famous signature work on video. I love Nao's combination of vulnerability and boldness. She showed a guerilla piece where she infiltrated a chat show hosted by Joan Rivers in the early 1990s. Her makeup, demeanor and glazed expression on her face in this clip is classic Nao, and shows why she is a live art great.
Also in my section was the famed British scholar Adrian Heathfield professor of performance and visual culture at Roe Hampton University, and the beautiful experimental curator Lia Gangitano of NYC's edgy Participant Inc.
I closed the section with a performative lecturina "Flesh for LuLu-Taking the High Road to Sexual Failure" I didn't realize how exhausted i was from the Berlinale and other projects. My energy level was nil, and i really emphasized the failure theme literally. My pacing was very off, and not getting a proper tech or dress rehearsal emphasized that fact. Also i don't like to do performances without having a make-up artist. I was happy with the way my new DeRohan Chabot film series was received, and showing a section of the late 70s Spanish film Navajeros starring Isela Vega and Veronica Castro went over well. In all i was glad my performance was an utter failure---thats the way love goes.

This year at the Berlinale my art collektive CHEAP was not as visible as we were the last two years with the CHEAP Gossip Studio. B books took over the bar that we had built and renamed it The Ennis Del pub after one of the characters in Brokeback Mountain. Overseeing the bar for ten days is hard work, and something i wasn't missing but doing a four hour long performative guided tour of the Galleries that were part of Forum Expanded was equally draining. It wasn't really a tour in the literal sense, as i didn't provide much information about the work or the artists in Forum Expanded. I basically presented myself as an art object, and tried to encourage intimacy with the participants on our bus ride and in the spaces we visited. It really worked, and thank god my assistant Nadja Talmi was there. She is a powerful force, and very calm and in control with a serenity that is magical. At the Halle 14A Gallery which was curated by Marc Siegel, i did an interpretive dance, which highlighted the fact that the artist Ludvig Schonherr's wife and muse Trixie was once a prima ballerina. At the Peter Wilde Gallery i sang a tiny aria, and gossiped with Mr. Wilde and his assistant, and at the lovely Bohdi Berlin, the beautiful gallerist gave an gorgeous extemporaneous lecture that riveted everyone. I loved how the Wilde Gallery and Bohdi exhibited the work in a non tradition way, and especially with the subdued lighting. There is nothing worse then bright halogen gallery lights. Its just not flattering. The brightness worked at Halle because the mounting of the work was so non-tradition. In fact the way everything was displayed reminded me of my home gallery from the 1980s the famous Hag-Small, Contemporary, Haggard.
I am still tired from last nights performance, so i will have to write more about the Berlinale, the galleries that were part of Forum Expanded and the movies when i return to Berlin and have my notes in front of me. I don't want to write anything more from my bad Alzheimic memory.
For some reason today i started to think about Lorenzo Lamas. Lamas is the son of MGM stars Fernando Lamas and Arlene Dahl. I met Lorenzo in the late 70s when he was working at a paint store in Santa Monica. His parents didn't want him to be a typical Hollywood brat so he had to have a job as a teen. He was so sweet and unspoiled then, flirting with me in a casual bemused manner as he mixed the paints i needed to redo my mothers apartment. My colleague Nancy Shimpo from the job i had at the time working as a clerk typist at Equifax Insurance Investigating firm knew Lorenzo Lamas. Of course later he had a small supporting role as a ginger haired jock in the movie Grease, then went on to TV fame destruction in Falcon Crest along with the predictable ill-fated marriages to an assortment of Playboy and Penthouse centerfolds.

ICH WILL DIE GRENZEN DES WORTES TRAGBAR
Guest starred Sunday at the KW Institute For Contemporary Art rocking out with Tim&kJohnny Blue as part of Wilhelm Hein´s akshunist event Who Killed The Underground. Normally i am not a fan of big art institutions, but the staff at the KW were sweet and gracious. The place was packed with a standing room only crowd. Besides Wilhelm´s three screen projections, his amazing art photog girlfriend Annette Frick presented a lovely slide show of her famous images of the local queer and tranny scene. Also performing was the great Austrian poet Sissy Tax, and the excellent local musician Mad Angus. The calvalcade of art stars in the audience included Evie Rüssler, Isabel Spengler, Ruth Schonegger and her new super foxy girlfriend, Israeli power couple Imre&Lior, Teenage Felix and his theatre owning mom, Gus Van Sant scholar Christian “F” Weber, German actor Florian Lukas, DeRohan Chabot, Acme Singt the naked DJ, and Anna Muelter of the HAU.
The next morning i had an all-day photo shoot project with handsome Italian photographer Manuel Vason for London´s Spill Arts Festival. Manuel is one of the hottest dudes around, known for collaborative photo projects with live artists, his book from last year Encounters was a huge international sensation, and features photos of Ron Athey, Franko b., Dominic Johnson, Marisa Carnesky and the doll. Mr. Vason is sooo smooth and seductive that he had me posing nude and shiny, shiny not far behind me covered in his thick robust Venetian splooge. Wowzina!!!
The next evening was my performative lecturina at the Politics of Ecstasy Festival at the HAU. The festival is curated by New York dancer/choreographer Jeremy Wade with assist by Eike Wittrock. Jeremy seems is the new darling at the Hebbel Theatre at the moment. Europeans really take a shining to anything and anyone from New York. Every time I see Jeremy he looks different, as if going through some kind of metamorphosis. I´ve never seen any of Jeremy´s dance pieces, but i´ve heard from people i respect that his choreography has a unique spastic charm, but that he should stick to movement and not talk or sing on stage. I want to see his new piece I Offer Myself toThee, but unfortunately it is playing on nights that i have prep work that i must do for my own performances with the Berlinale and also for the Arco, Madrid Art Experts Forum. I almost made it to one of Jeremys shows in the summer that he invited me to, but i got caught in a downpour on my bike.
Like i have said many times before I find the dance world a bit problematic in that they get rewarded all the funding that would never go to performance or live art. There seems to be a glut at the moment of people doing dance or calling their work dance. Well can i blame them for grifting? It is a good strategic, careerist move.
When i first looked through the Politics of Ecstasy catalogue and saw items like Death Electric Emo Protest Aerobics and a Sweat Lodge i started to groan and roll my eyes. The only thing worse then German new ageyness is Black American style new ageyness. I was certainly suspect, but spending some time at the Manuel Czech Ecstatic Kitchen with i t s delicious food and free silkscreen t-shirt booth was getting me in a Bohdi Tree mood. I like a festival with a focus on free food. As an artist i know i am always hungry, and my train needs to be constantly fed. The festivals delirious changing stage set design by Doris Dziersk, Anke Philip and Sophie-Therese Trinka-Dalton was also warming my dark heart. Several months ago Jeremy emailed me that Diamanda Galas, Kembra Pfhaler of the Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black and Justin Bond were going to be part of the Politics of Ectasy. Daddy Ron Athey wound up being the big festival coup. The only other name i recognized was dancer/choreographer Meg Stuart. Athey performed magnificently with a nice cookie monster troop of Euro children in an improv version of his Auto Da Fe suite from The Judas Cradle complete with glossalalia and automatic writing. It was short, sweet and very Da-dadster. I was really macking madly on DD his Austrian younger rad tat bro and fragile Serbian baby sis.
Performing with the doll was her blood of Abraham Aasaf Hochman and his bubble butt Greek beauty beau Alexander the Great of Macadonia. Making me look gorgeous with his expert makeup and fashion styling the marvel of marvels Miss Tan Bihn Ngyuen with assist from her sweet girlfriend Billa. Seen in the overflow crowd: intermedia actress Susanne Sachsse, translator to the stars Daniel Haji Hendrickson, Arsenal intern Julius Bauer, Flemish royal Koen Claerhout, lovesexy Val & Sebastian from magnetic electro duo Noblesse Oblige, writer Travis Jeppeson, Gallic art stud Christophe Chemin who is modeling during fashion week for Bernard Wilhelm, art fag guru Yusi Etiman of Basso, Bini of andcompany performance kollective, baby French boy posse Julian Radlmaier, DeRohan Chabot, Guillaume Ariaud, studtog Manuel Vason, Acme Singt the naked big foot DJ, topgun HAU coordinator Anna Muelter, independent curator Tim Stüttkin, Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras, teutonictress Kostja Ullman, art photographer Annette Frick, with her legendary experimental film pioneer lover Wilhelm Hein, adorable Berlin art treasure Evie Russler, Danish filmmaker Anders Ostergaard, professional fashion muse Ines de la Fresange, Turkish clothing designer Umit Benan, Father Athey with the magnificent skinhead Gunner (who use to be Bay Area roommates with my intern Marc Arthur) and Bianca & Sierra Casady of CoCo Rosie and their posse.
Special thanks to the expert HAU 2 tech crew of Tito on sound with Rainer, Berlin original punker Wolfgang, Michael Esch on lights and my intern Greta Ganderath with Festival head assistant pretty Anna Wagner and her twin sister from a different mother Barbara.

Got lots of emails requesting a copy of my text for the Politics of Ecstasy lecture. Well here it is warts and all

The Hebrew word RU´AHH RU ÁHH RU AHH and the Greek word PNEU´MA PNEU MA PNEU MA which are often translated “spirit” have a number of meanings. The English word “spirit” is from the Latin SPIRITUS a breath, breathing. Respiration, expiration, inspiration. All of them refer to that which is invisible to human sight and which gives evidence of force in motion. The Hebrew and Greek words are used with reference to 1. Wind 2.the active lifeforce in earthly creatures 3.the impelling force that issues from a person´s figurative heart and that causes him to say and do things in a certain way 4.inspired utterances originating with an invisible source 5.spirit persons and 6God´s active force, or holy spirit.
What is the holy spirit?
A comparison of Bible texts. Text---this is important here in New Germany as it is in El France. Bible texts that refer to the holy spirit shows that it is spoken of as ´filling´people; they can be ´baptisized´with it; and they can be “annoited” with it. None of these expressions would be appropriate if the holy spirit were a person.
Jesus Cristo also referred to the holy spirit as a “helper” in Greek PA RA KLE TOS and he said that this helper would “teach” “bear witness” “speak” and “hear”. It is not unusual in scripture for something to be personafied. For example wisdom is said to have “children” Sin and death are spoken of as being kings. While some texts say that the spirit “spoke” other passages make clear that this was done through angels or humans. Not only the spirit but also the water and the blood are said to bear witness.
The holy spirit is the active force of God. A powerful force that God causes to emanate from himself to accomplish his holy will.
What Gives evidence that a person really has the holy spirit, or the Holy Ghost?
Jesus read from the scroll of the prophet Isaiah: Jehovah´s spirit is upon me, because he annoited me to declare good news . . .and he went down to Capernaum a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the sabbath; and they were astounded at his way of teaching, because his speech was with authority. Now in the synagogue there was a man with a spirit, an unclean demon of Endor, and he shouted in a loud voice. But Jesus rebuked the demon of Endor saying be silent, and come out of him. So, after throwing the man down in their midst, the demon of endor came out of him without hurting him. When Jesus´followers received holy spirit they would be witnesses about him, Jesus Cristo. These followers were speaking about the magnificent things of God in languages that were familiar to the many foreigners who were present. There is no record of an emotional outburst on the part of those who received the spirit.
When Elizabeth of olden days received the holy spirit and gave voice to a loud cry she was not meeting for worship, but was greeting and visiting her relations. When the holy spirit came upon an assembly of disciples the place was shaken, but the effect of the spirit was not that they trembled and rolled about but they spoke the word of god with boldness. Likewise today boldness in speaking the word of God, zealously engaging in the work of witnessing—these are what give evidence that a person has holy spirit.
The fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self control. It is this fruitage, rather than outbursts of religious fervor that one should look for when seeking to find people who truly have God´s spirit.
Voice, along wth language, is a gift of God. Therefore, the voice should be lifted in praise to God. This can be done by speaking “the magnificent things of God” upbuilding others with information from Gods word of truth, or in songs of praise and thanksgiving.
The Hebrew word GOHL GOHL GOHL – “voice” “sound” is used with regard to the witness these voiceless things give to the majesty of their creator. In a personified sense wisdom is said to keep giving forth i t s voice in the public squares, because it is available to all who seek it. The voice of the daughter of Zion, the voice of a woman giving birth to her first child. A voice that comes up from a position of debasement as in the dust, and would be like the low voice of a spirit medium. Through the prophet Jeremiah God has prophesied that Egypt would be vanquished by the Babylonians, who would come in force as woodcuttrs, to chop her down. She would lie on the ground, legs spread deeply humbled, weeping softly and moaning, her voice low like that of a serpant.
Are true Christians today identified by the ability to speak in tongues?
If i speak in tongues of men and of angels but do not have love, I have become a sounding piece of brass or a clashing cymbol. Love never fails. But whether there are gifts of prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part for our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect. Do you believe that the speaking of tongues done today is the same as what was practiced in the first century? Speaking in tongues filled a definate need during that time to show that god had shifted his favour from the Jewish system to the newly formed Christian congregation. It was a practical means to spread the good news on an international scale in a short time.

Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras celebrated his 30th birthday at his Neu Kölln compound with a cute dindin provided by his sexy physical therapist lover Enrico, who also made the birthday cake. Val & Sebastiane from Noblesse Oblige, provided a melange of salads and right out of the oven Martinique style chocolate brownies. Enjoying the fellowship: Susanne Sachsse of Cheap, Alexander the Great of Macedonia, DeRohan Chabot, naked and barefoot Acme Singt, Anna Muelter of HAU and Bavarian Jens one of the Hidden Cameras choir members. Afterward everyone was going bowling at Hasenheide, where i guess there is a bowling alley. The doll had to bow out of the bowling for Columbine.

Went to see Athey´s solo piece Self Obliteration that has an extra nasty addition to it from when i saw it at the Donau Festival in April. My handsome buff father figure Ron creates images like no one else under the sun. The Berlin audience was left completely in awe. The icky art fags not knowing what to make of it. Helping Mr. Athey was academic and live artist Dominic Johnson in from London and his crew consisting of Samantha, Skinhead Gunnar and Dom´s sweet British artist friend with piercings and dreadlocks, Richard Hancock who just moved to Neu Kölln. Seen paying hommage to the Love God Ron Athey: super fag curator Frank Wagner who first brought Athey to Berlin in 2004, Assaf Hochman and Alex of Macedonia, Black Markets Hannah Hurtzig, Anna Muelter, HAU honcho Mattias Lianthal, Alessio of bbooks, Tamir Yirgit, the dashing young fellow of Turkish theatre, Noah Lennox and Dave Portner of New York band Animal Collective.
Of couse I had to come back the next night for Ron´s encore performance of Self Obliteration. In true Daddy style he outdid himself with balletic grace and determination giving up every ounce of self as he ended the tableaux with a ceremonial onanist fisticup----breathless! All of Berlin was at this performance, with many visiting luminaries including the one and only Jewess Tattoess from London Marissa Carnesky with her young Montana free range husband who is being hailed in live art circles as Baby GG Allin. Drop dead gorgeous Bianca of CoCo Rosie lent the event her ethereal presence. The Forum Expanded Berlinale gang of Nanna Heidenreich, Olga Damnitz, Ullrich Ziemons and Stefanie Schulte Strathaus were looking elegant and regal. Art curator Bettina was floating about along with Katherina Clewinghaus the star of Otto Up With Dead People and her escort booty pie Tim Stüttkin, writer Travis Jeppeson was with his birthday boy lover Mario and his birthday present Luigi. DJ Snax was looking lovesexy and Joel Gibb with Enrico the physical therapist to the stars were turning many heads as a hot couple. Of course that stylish Dutch lady Mijke Harmsen was looking very good, and the beauty of HAU Katrin Dodd who is almost as tall as the Doll was delighting along with Val of Noblesse Oblige, Japanese artist Hanayo and Ron´s new outrageously handsome big thick dicked Argentine lover Alfredo who plowed daddy three times in the dressing room before his performance to make Atheys hole extra succulent to the audience.

BAY AREA PEPTO
I love getting emugs from my sweet little former NYU intern Marc Arthur, who is quite his own artist getting lots of international acclaim. He is now living in the Bay area and here is one of his updates.

Dear Ms. Davis,
Sorry for being such a bad boy in terms of keeping in touch. I have still been going from couch to couch but now I am on just one couch for a month now so it's sort of more stable with the internet and stuff. The nice thing about SF is these hippies always have fluffy and cozy couches...on the flip side I caught crabs a few weeks ago. That was a disaster! All they boys I was fucking had it and people were starting to make extramarital connections and I had to scram! Now I'm in Oakland where it is more calm.
My friends and I did a cute performance when I first got back where we birthed Sarah Palins daughte'rs satanic child who was then ravaged by a pack of lesbian wolfs. People just loved that.
A couple of weeks ago I screened Letters From a Ruined Dream and did a performance of the play I wrote accompanying it at New Langton Arts. It was a huge fabulous success. An eager crowd of what had to be 100 showed up, a mix of faggy art hipsters and sf art world people. The movie got it's proper screening in a real theater with a large projection. People loved your performance and were creaming for DeRohan Chabot. There was also an adjoining giant warehouse we had access to next door. We brought the audience back and forth between both spaces for a performance which at the end involved my friend getting fist fucked in a pile of white flour. The curator of the show was so impressed that she called me up the next day begging for some of the props. She wanted me to give them to her for free! Mr. Larry Bob was also in attendance and we had a nice chat.
Mike Kuchar documented the whole evening so I'll send that out to you when I get a copy. I've been working with him quite a bit lately. He keeps crafting these delicate shreds of fabric he likes to call "loin cloths" for me. This usually leads to him getting shots of me wearing them from the floor up at which point the scrap of fabric isn't even visible. I love his movies and they are absolutely gorgeous.
On Halloween I went to a furry party dreading the usual fleet of ironic arty kids who think they are so fucking cool cause they know about furries, expecting a bunch of tired hipsters with cheap bunny ears drinking forties but boy was I wrong. I can't say for sure if these kids were regular furries, in fact I'm sure a lot of them weren't, but they sure had the look. The party was in the grotto of some factory in Oakland (these days the best parties are in Oakland). I always wanted to experiment with furries, I knew I liked diapers but furries somehow seemed like a more dangerous move. My friend literally dragged me out and when I arrived everyone's costumes were plush but revealing. This helped; it was a nice crowd from the teletubbie generation. You could see their skinny toned abdomens and delicate bodies dusted with peachy hair underneath the overzealous patchworks of faux neon furs. Not to mention all their bulges sweating pre-cum. The place was writhing with hormones both girl and boy.
I immediately took off my clothes and wrapped the fur coat I brought around my waist. This attracted the attention of some boy in a giraffe outfit. The masquerade atmosphere of the party helped him court me and before I knew it he was pouring his koolaid cocktail down my throat. I hoped that his cum would taste the same. I swear someone must have put a posting on dlist for the party and handed out free x to every kid who walked in the door. Yes, the rave scene is still vivacious around here but this was at least a step up from the hippy trash burners who devote their lives to hula hooping, the techno was irritating but these kids still had some vigor in them. Some of the other costumes were fabulous, there was an absolutely decadent poodle and this polar bear boi who looked spectacular with strong biceps. In the corner two bunnies are eating each other out. I knew I didn't have to wait much longer for things to get interesting. The friend I came with disappeared off with a goat and I was left to wonder around all by myself. All of a sudden I felt some fur on the nape of my neck. I turned around and the polar bear had his pants at his ankles. He was stroking his rod like a little kid devouring an otter pop. I didn't know what his face looked like under his mask but didn't care. His cock had to be 9 inches and thick, wet, dripping like a glacier eager to melt. He started to growl and I willingly got on my knees and began to lick his huge sweaty balls, this really got to him and he started growling like he was going to attack. This attracted the attention of everyone else at the party and in that split second a wild orgy broke out. The polar bears mating call germinated a cacophony of other animal sex noises, and I had a flashback to my childhood mania for baboon ass at the zoo. I worshiped the polar bears rod until his fur came off layer by layer, drenched in sweat. I started kissing him and realized we had met before. He was the boi I met last winter on bart.
Immediately I start to finger his ass hole like I'm an Eskimo fishing--forming out a hole in the ice. his asshole is soft and smooth like raw salmon freshly cut open. I dig deeper and he moans more. I throw him down to the ground and he spreads out completly naked on his malted fur. I know the ice age is really over as I plow his ass and he growls in a sort of frustrated pleasure, I'm almost afraid but plow harder and harder which attracts a musk ox and the giraffe. They start to jack off as I pound him and then, all at once, in the warming of our global jungle jerk, we consensually melt the polar ice caps. The polar bear goes extinct first and shoots a blizzard of white cream like a snow globe exploding. I pull out my oil rig and, joined by the musk ox and giraffe, submerge his face in our hot steaming fossil fuels.
Otherwise my sex life has been pretty mellow. I found a glory hole a UC Berkeley which is hit or miss. You can usually cruise hot freshman on the lawn outside and follow them down to it. The other day I followed a beefy ginger who did not disappoint. I've never really experienced a real glory hole. It's so thrilling when someone else comes in to the bathroom and you have to stop, their cock resting is your mouth throbbing. The ginger was mammoth and extended past the reach of the toilet paper dispenser. The black hole framed his fiery hair beautifully. My throat was a bit soar the next day but it was worth it.
Speaking of Berkeley I was seeing this frenchy academic for a second when I first got back. He was a hot 30 and grew up around here and prides himself on his judith butler and kaja silverman friendships. I didn't realize that even "radical" academics are still perversely elitist. He tried to convince me we were monogamous while he fucked some 20 year old who I met on the bart. we made the connections and it was obvious I was stuck in the center of one big bourgeois mess.

MNAC - National Museum of Contemporary Art Bucharest is proud to announce “RE:akt! Reconstruction, Re-enactment, Re-reporting”, the world preview of the works realized in the last three years within the platform “RE:akt!” conceived by Janez Janša and produced by the Slovenian cultural institution Aksioma.

During recent years the term re-enactment and the practices it refers to have enjoyed increasing success in the artistic context. On one hand, the success of re-enactment appears to be connected to a parallel, vigorous return to performance art, both as a genre practiced by the new generations, and as an artistic practice with its own historicization. On the other hand the term re-enactment accompanies two phenomena that at least at first glance have very little in common: re-staging artistic performances of the past, and revisiting, in performance form, “real” events – be they linked to history or current affairs, past or present.

RE:akt! Reconstruction, Re-enactment, Re-reportingtries both to research on the complexity of this concept and to get rid of it, approaching re-enactment not merely as “live action role-playing” or “living history” but rather as a strategy for cultural critique, analysis and artistic expression. “RE:akt!” – meaning not only “to act again” but also “to respond to / to react upon” and “Regarding: act!”– confronts current ideological and intellectual canons, power structures, policies, and distribution channels by re-enacting selected historical and culturally relevant events. Through processes of analysis, deconstruction, re-enactment and re-reporting, the intermedia research and presentation project “RE:akt!” examines media’s roles in manipulating perceptions and creating postmodern historical myths and contemporary mythology.

Thus, “RE:akt! Reconstruction, Re-enactment, Re-reporting”, curated by the Italian art critic and curator Domenico Quaranta, will collect ten different approaches to the concept of enaction: from Ich Lubbe Berlin! (2005, SilentCell Network), a take on the 1933 burning of the Reichstag building in Berlin, which explores the contemporary meaning of symbols such as the Reichstag itself, and of concepts such as “communism” and “terrorism”; to Das KAPITAL (2006, Janez Janša), a performance which re-stages the 1969 occupation of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact forces with the languages of popular street artists; from C'était un rendez-vous (déja vu) (Janez Janša and Quentin Drouet), a project that plays with the paradigmatic history of a well known artwork, the film C'était un rendez-vous by Claude Lelouch, from “cinema verité” to “media fiction”; to VD as VB (2007), a series of actions in which Vaginal Davis, the “grande dame” of the queer underground in Los Angeles, dialogues with Vanessa Beecroft's performances. In Mount Triglav on Mount Triglav (2007 - 2008), the three artists Janez Janša, Janez Janša and Janez Janša re-stage a well known performance of the OHO group from the late Sixties, recently appropriated by the IRWIN group for their Like to Like Series (2004), performing it on the Mount Triglav itself, and then translating it into a monumental golden sculpture; while in Slovene National Theatre (2007), Janez Janša translates an infamous fact of recent racism against Gypsies – known in Slovenia as “the Ambrus case” - into a piece of theatre, re-invoicing it as it was featured by the mass media. In their Synthetic Performances (2007), Eva and Franco Mattes aka 0100101110101101.ORG reenact on the virtual platform of Second Life a series of historical performances that are all but virtual, raising issues such as body, violence, sex and pain, thus exploring the meaning of these very issues in a virtual world. In SS-XXX | Die Frau Helga (2007), Janez Janša again adds details and proofs of evidence to an “urban legend” recently circulated on the Net and mainstream media, concerning the presumed creation of a cyber-sex doll by the Nazis. Thus, performance and reenactment are far from being the only strategies adopted in “RE:akt!”, which also involves strategies such as documentation, remix, re-invoicement, reconstruction and remediation (such as in the project The Day São Paulo Stopped 2009 by Brazilian artist Lucas Bambozzi), and media such as photographic print, video, media installation and even architecture (such as in the project Il porto dell'amore, by Janez Janša, an homage to Fiume as an example of pirate utopia).

On Thursday, January 22, MNAC will host a panel discussion featuring Domenico Quaranta, curator of the exhibition; Janez Janša, artist and director of Aksioma; and the italian theoretician Antonio Caronia, co-editor of the book RE:akt! Reconstruction, Re-enactment, Re-reporting, to be published on March 2009 (with contributions by Rod Dickinson, Jennifer Allen, Jan Verwoert, Antonio Caronia and Domenico Quaranta). On March 25, the exhibition will travel to ŠKUC gallery, Ljubljana (Slovenia) and then further to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka (
Croatia).

RƒTSEL FUR ÷DE SEMINARE
Thursday i performed with that great musical talenta kJohnny Blue at Chantals House of Shame the long running Berlin nitespot hosted by Ms. Chantal a striking Tura Sutana from Faster Pussycat Kill, Kill, Kill like party queen with a boisterous, wild fun spirit. I like the raunchy atmosphere of the House of Shame located at the Bassy Cowboy Club in the basement of the Pepper Mountain on Schonhauser Alee in prinze lauber (spelling?) right up from the former kollective CHEAP headquarters. In one of the lounge areas a straight couple got completely naked and started fornicating attracting a large audience, which reminded me of Studio 54 in its heyday. I wish that some of the homos were that uninhibited. Lots of cute boys and fans visiting from the States and other parts of Europa who found out that i was performing from the world wide webster. Thank you Larry Bob for spreading the word on all those queer bulletin boards.
Met Berlin tranny in boy drag Gloria Viagra who was surprised that i have been living in Berlin for two years. A lot of scenes in the city operate in their own bubble and the Berlin mainstream gay world doesnt really overlap that much with other realms. Gloria is as sweet as Lady Bunny said she was, and i hear that she is quite the immigrant rights activist being that she is from one of the countries that was formerly part of Yugaslavia.
Catching the return to my club roots: DJ Snax, Travis Jeppeson, Nadine of Neu Kölln, Joel Gibb, Assaf Hochman and his new beau Alexander the Great of Macedonia, DeRohan Chabot, Mila Geisler and her lesbian vampire flick posse, and that dark haired humpster from the British band Travis. Of course my young protege Acme Singt was running around naked as the day he was born. You have to be radiant youth to ride your bicycle in weather below freezing. I don¥t know how he does it. I left the club at 4am, and that straight couple were still fornicating like there was no day after tomorrow. Trying to steal their thunder Mr. Acme Singt found a paramour who was delighting in giving his rather large, but dirty feet a vigorous tongue bath.

Ricardo Montalban died at age 88. The muscular Mexican hearthrob got his start at MGM in the late 40s. One of my favorite films he made was Neptune´s Daughter 1949 opposite Esther Williams where he along with Ms. Williams, Red Skelton and Betty Garrett introduced the Oscar winning song "Baby Its Cold Outside"

Whatever happened to Mark Miura? I went to elementary and middle school with him. His mother looked just liked Yoko Ono during her love-in hippie period with John Lennon. The Miura´s were the oddest Japanese family i ever knew. Most Japanese homes are super clean, so immaculate you could eat off the floor, but not at the Miura household. It was downright filthy. Besides being an awful homemaker Mrs. Miura dated a raw assortment of raggle taggle Mexican dudes, and biker looking white guys so basically she was a slag, but very nice and sweet. I lost touch with Mark as we went to different high schools, but during the punk era we reconnected briefly when i saw him hanging out at Gorkys the Russian style cafeteria that was part of the downtown loft scene of the early 1980s. He had this black girlfriend which is very strange as black girls dont usually go for short dumpy Asian men. The girl was very beautiful and regal, and definately a bit offkilter which of course fascinated me. I hired Mark´s girlfriend in a photo shoot i was styling that went with an article that i wrote about a more typical black girl/white boy relationship. After the photo shoot i never saw Mark and this girl again.
Thinking of Mark Miura reminds me of Jimmy Kazuki, this crazy Japanese tennis bum who lived in the apartment building next to mine at 1239 South Hobart Blvd in South Central Los Angeles. When i was about 12 Jimmy used to flirt with my mother who at that time was about in her late 50s but she looked much younger. Jimmy was probably in his early 40s. My mother wasnt interested in him, but this other neighbor of ours a married black woman from Panama who was in her mid to late 30s and who resembled my mother started having a wild, torrid love affair with Mr. Kazuki that scandalized the neighborhood. I even overheard Panama Haiti telling my mother that Jimmy had a giant penis. Jimmy looked a little like the writer Mishima. Very muscular and always tanned with a michieveous grin. i also remember he drove a Lincoln Continental. Several years before the famous SLA shootout in South Central LA, a gang of Korean revolutionaries who lived in Jimmys building got down in a mini shootout with the LAPD that never achieved major press attention. I was so young at the time i don¥t remember all the details but somehow Jimmy was involved in subversive, radical activities. Ah the late 60s and early 1970s in Los Angeles.

Baby Diaper Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras was my date to see the new dance piece Hotel Hassler by Berlin based duo Wilhelm/Groener at the Ost Bauhaus.
I am not a big fan of dance theatre or barefoot modern dance but i did enjoy the humour and whimsy in this particular Single Room Occupancy boutique hotel escapade. Things went from gimpy to spaz attack, and then back to gimpy with the hilarious feral histrionics of co-choreographer Günther Wilhelm whose rubber faced charms reminds me of ganymede 30s character actor Edward Everett Horton. Matching him with vim and superior buttitude are Assaf Hochman bursting out of his slacks and the Aryan Ulrich Huhn. The video and soundscapes are excellent, my only complaint being that they were too stingy with those delicious aural tones. Brothers, Sisters we don´t need no fascist Mehmet Sanderism ala Liz Streb thing! Casual word of advice to the costume designer: Skip the proleteriat wardrobe and Rockport shoes, and just leave the men in their skivvies.

Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras and I make a great DJ team as we tore up the Queer Noizes nite at Schwuz´Search and Destroy. Everyones brothers aunt was there dancing till the wee hours in the appropriately named Golden Streams smokers lounge. Also joining in the festivities was the Desolation Disko King Micha, who earlier was playing his fav tracts of 2008. Val and Sebastiane of Noblesse Oblige performed live and looked stunningly dangerous. Coming out to join in the otherworldly fracas: Assaf Hochman and his juicy Alexander the Great of Macedonia along with choreographer Günther Wilhelm of Wilhelm/Groener, it girl Anna Muelter of the HAU with DJ and Elastica bassist Sheila Chipperfield, Belgian nobel Koen Claerhout, Mijka Harmsen who books the music program at the Hebbel Theatre, Tim Blue and his fashion designing lover Cornell Collins, kJohnny Blue, Nadine of Neu Kölln and Aaston Brooks the great niece of silent film star Louise Brooks, DeRohan Chabot, French Vogue´s uber trendy Editrix Carine Roitfeld with her daughter, heiress Maria Irini Rizos, star of the vampire movie Twilight, Robert Pattinson with Christina Sophia Huffington daughter of Ariana Huffington. The movie Twilight features the great costume talents of Susan "Crepe Suzette" Matheson who use to do wardrobe for yours truelly before becoming an A-list Hollywood costume designer in the Albert Wolsky tradition. Also making heads turn was stately Daniel Hendrickson with his manly juice beau Piero Bellommo, super fit French art star Christophe Chemin, blue movie matinee idol Dirk Jager, makeup artist Tan Bihn Nguyen, writer Travis Jeppeson, lovesexy artist Dean Sameshima, Gus Van Sant scholar Christian "F" Weber, Israeli power couple Imre and Lior, New York artist Mila Geisler, Alex Kapranos, Nick McCarthy of Franz Ferdinand with German pop star Tiesto(are they having a three-way the hardway) and Enrico, Joel Gibbs super foxy east German lover.

The next night was Rising Stars Falling Stars at Arsenal Institute für Film und Videokunst. I was knackered not getting much sleep for two nights in a row with performing at the House of Shame and Schwuz. We had an over flow SRO audience with people having to sit on the floor watching Alfred Hitchcocks 1926 film The Lodger, A Story of the London Fog starring poofy British music star Ivor Novello. It doesnt get any faggier then Mr. Novello with his lush lipped charms and heavy rouged face. He actually wears more make-up then the female lead. Of couse this presentation wasnt really about Mr. Hitchcock but more Mrs Hitchcock, the great lesbian icon Alma Reville the true genius in the family who was the uncredited director of all his films. Playing a lush live score that outdid Bernard Hermann was the Blue Brothers Tim & kJohnny.
Scene flitting and flirting during the after screening reception: Wilhelm Hein and his art photog gal pal Annette Frick who will both be performing at the KunstWerker:Institute for Contemporary Art on Sunday Jan 25th starting at 7pm along with the Blue Bros, Sissy Tax and little Ms. Vaginal Davis. Mark your calenderia and the show is FREE FREE FREE
But getting back to the who´s who at RSFS, just returned from the US celebrity raw food chef Boris Lauser with Irish cutie pie Rochene, Lina Stahl of Tanz Tage with pal Steffi, DJ Olga Damnitz, glamorous actress/director Susanne Sachsse(Otto: Up With Dead People)Greek film festival god Vassily Bourikas, Christian "F" Weber with his booty pie academic posse, a dear young Latvian performance artist who asked Ms. D about her unique stage style, adorable downtown NY legend John Heys with the dynamic Berlin goddess Zazie de Paris, enchanting Scandanavian video artist Gonsi Holström and her international video art crew, Nadine of Neu Kölln, East Asian actor and star of Danny Boyle´s award winning film Slum Dog Millionaire Dev Patel, and of course Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus with her luscious Forum Expanded team of Nanna Heidenreich and manlische Ulrich Ziemon.

Forgot to mention that i saw a screening of the Kate Winslet/Leo Dicaprio film Revolutionary Road that is set in the mid 1950s. Ms. Winslet does a lovely American accent, and Leo is quite strong in this flick that lays it on pretty thick at times but generally benefits from some powerful emoting. The best thing i have seen Mr. D in since he played Rimbaud. I love that he is looking very middle aged these days, its actually quite becoming.

Treated to a delicious East German boite dinner by Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus in honor of visionary director Guy Maddin. Mr. Maddin is simply one of the most funniest, adorable and talented men on the planet and could only hail from the Glen Meadmore fairyland of Winnipeg, Canada. Joining us was Anna Muelter of HAU, Susanne Sachsse and the German Sandy Dennis, Bettina Steinbrügge.
Guy and I talked about the recent death of B movie queen Ann Savage who brilliantly played Mr. Maddin´s mother in his last film My Winnipeg.
