GESAMLAUFZEIT
Was taken to a wonderment dinner by the patrician visiting NYU performance studies professor Tavia Nyongo. Mr. Nyongo was born and raised in Kenja. His father is African and his mother is from the American Midwest. Just like the President of the USA. The bistro he took me to is called Rosa Caleta with Jamaican European fusion cuisine. The chef is the legendary Troy Lopez who I met through my CHEAP collegue Tim Blue. Troy has lived in Berlin for over 20 years, and I had heard that Troy opened up a restaurant in Kreuzberg with one of his Jamaican gal pals, and I had longed to go to it, but had no idea that this was Troy´s place till I arrived last Thursday with Mr. Nyongo who received a recommendation to check the restaurant out by British live art star Richard Hancock. It’s a very charming boite located on a cute street in Kreuzberg off of Görlitzer. Since it was a warm evening we sat outside to enjoy the hunky ambiance of young men strolling by with very little clothing on. The food was delicious. We both had the foil wrapped Cod fish that came with some scrumptious vegetables and rice, plus some pickled concoction out of a giant preserve jar. Our waiter was a cute, very sweet full faced tall German boy who was giving out big dique arrogance---lecher!(yummy) The mango cake for desert was definitely the highlight. I´ve tasted Troy´s cakes before and they are divine. He created a chocolate cake called Chocolate Genocide for Tim Blue’s birthday party a few years ago that was completely and utterly riche and scandalous. Next time I go to Rosa Caleta I will have to try a pork or chicken jerk dish, as the cod fish had too many tiny bones in it. I´m trying to eat healthy these days but sometimes its best to just go for whats super comforting. Rosa Caleta has a nice laid back vibe, definitely a great addition to the Berlina food scene, and I give it my Ms. Davis prinzessin seal of approval.

Received this text from Mario Dzurila and DJ Snax for their brilliant installation in the darkroom of Slum at Ficken 3000 in KreuzKölln. Its really amazing and I am glad someone got the idea to do it. Slum is the latest club project by writer Travis Jeppeson and sexy performance artist Tennessee Clafin who use to be the concubine beau of directors Gus Van Sant and Bryan Singer. They also do the Sunday night club Pork. So now all you visitors to Berlin have two new options for your weekday and weekend pleasure factor.
AIN’T NO SUNSHINE
An exhibition by Mario Dzurila and Snax in the dark room of Slum
What if every sperm supposedly “wasted” in a basement dark room actually had the potential to fertilize and produce human life? Mario Dzurila and Snax would like to introduce you to overlooked offspring, the Children Of The Dark Room, where there Ain’t No Sunshine.
In the morning hours, the floor of a typical dark room can almost amount to what science calls “primordial soup.” Special conditions, such as high humidity, low temperature and lack of light fuse with the chemicals used in lubricants and amyl nitrate, thus prolonging a sperm’s life span from several minutes to several days. The pairing and matching of said sperm results in a cell called the zygote, which replicates half the DNA of each of two or more fathers.
After the birth, children remain in the dark room their entire life. Adaptation to their surroundings comes in a myriad of forms. Retinas expand to catch any small amount of light. In other instances, children emit their own light with bioluminescence - disguising their silhouette. They stay hidden in their underground dark dens through busy barroom hours, never allowing their innocence to disturb wandering patrons and future parents. Socializing only with each other, they are timid and panic easily. Their playground is video and their laughter is digitized.
Mario Dzurila and Snax shed light on these forgotten souls and allow the world to witness this phenomenon for the first time. At last, the children will rule the roost downstairs and the visitors are the ones who will have to be their unseen guests.

The lovely British art photographer Elly Clarke is in this group show Home Grown
New art from Los Angeles and Berlin. A group exhibition organized by Short House
22 August–12 September 2009
Other viewings by appointment: info@artillerie-projekte.org
Short House has teamed up with artillerie to present Home Grown, a group exhibition featuring new work from emerging Los Angeles- and Berlin-based artists. Acknowledging the nomadic nature of today’s art practitioners, Short House’s Berlin debut gives artists from these two sister cities a platform to meet, mix and exchange.
Home Grown takes up themes of mobility, transience and translation. Varying from video,
photography and sound to sculpture and drawing, the works presented in the show examine the urban landscape, geographical identity and characteristics of interpretation.
Exhibiting artists include Kelly Akashi, Jacob Borges, Helen Cahng, Michelle Chong,
Elly Clarke, Drew Dunlap, Ian Henderson, Nathan Hess, Terra Kuroda and Robert O’Connor.
Short House is a transient art space and project that focuses on building opportunities for its
community. Started in L.A. in 2007 by Michelle Chong and Ian Henderson, the artists utilized
their home and organised artist workshops, exhibited artists’ work and produced a concert of
original works by up-and-coming composers and sound artists. In 2009 Short House joined
Berlin’s Kolonie Wedding, a non-profit organization aimed at presenting experimental work from emerging and international artists. artillerie is an interdisciplinary arts venue committed to experimentation in visual arts, performance, film, literature and music. Located in Berlin’s gritty yet vibrant Wedding district, artillerie is a project run by a non-profit group of art activists and volunteers.

AUGEN OHNE GESICHT
The last of the famed Kennedy Brothers died the other day, Senator Edward M. „Teddy“ Kennedy, brother of President John F., Robert and Joseph Jr. My late mother, like a lot of poor black people admired the Kennedy clan enormously. I guess it had something to do with the Kennedy rough and tumble Irish Catholic moxy. The Irish have always been treated as white Niggers in the US of A.
I have had only two contacts with a Kennedy family member. In the early 1990s I shared a brief but spectacular flirtation with John-John Kennedy Jr. This was at the New York nitespot Jackie 60 where I was performing during one of their many themed evenings. I was wearing the Sylvia Heisel bullet proof dress with a padded bra for that extra dose of cleavage---like I needed it. Well my rack caught the eye of the Dead Presidents s o n who in those days was quite a downtown habitue. He casually sauntered up to me for a most pleasant and sweet exchange.
The other encounter was with a very young Brian David Kennedy in 1998 at the Beck/Al Hansen Playing With Matches exhibit I was hosting at the Thread Waxing Space in SoHo. B.D. Kennedy and I were wildly macking, which led to a bit of dry humping in front of a bemused Kate Moss, who acted like she wanted to join in on the fun. I kept in touch with Mr. Kennedy via email for a few months afterward. I really turned him out that evening, but ultimately he was just too weirded out by my free spiritedness to take things further, which was just as well as he was a bit too nerdy for my tastes. I prefer humpy dorks to knock kneed nerds anyday.
Another celebrity passing was the Vanity Fair writer Dominic Dunne. I use to live next door to Dominic Dunne´s daughter Dominique who was killed by her boyfriend an LA Chef. This was way back in the early 1980s when i shared a flat in West Hollywood with my Afro Sister Urethra Franklin nee Helen „Bed“ O'Neill, who owned the Melrose Avenue punk rock boutique Retail Slut. In the late 80s I lived on Sunset Blvd at the beginning of the Sunset Strip at the La Villa Rosa Apts and the boyfriend of Dominique Dunne was let out of prison and moved around the corner on Fairfax Avenue. The Dunne Family launched a massive poster campaign splashing the photos of the man around the neighborhood proclaiming that a murderer has been let loose amongst us.
Not related but around the same period I first met actor Brad Pitt, who was just a fledgling Hollywood ingenue. Brad lived in a tiny back house off of Melrose and Gardner near my other Afro Sister Clitoris Turner aka Leslie Beatty who worked at the deadstock clothing store Cowboys and Poodles(CowPoos). I had been hired to design a T-shirt for a Charity Foundation speared by black TV actress Robin Givens called Go Hard or Go Home. Robin had recently divorced heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson and was having a torrid romance with Brad Pitt. Mr. Pitt was major Ms. Gorgeous, but a bit bratty, moody and generally unfriendly. Ms. Givens really helped his career which wasn´t going anyplace. Robin got him cast in a small guest part on her stupid TV show Head of the Class and somehow that got things rolling in his favour. He lived in a tiny house, but things weren´t so shabby for him as his parents sent him money regularly and he supplemented that by being the constant companion of this old rich industrialist who whould show Brad off by taking him to dinner regularly at concubine central Numbers when it was on Sunset Blvd and the old Carriage Trade on Beverly Blvd near LaCienega. I´m sure Mr. Pitt will not appreciate me reminding people of his gay quasi hustler past.

A HANDFUL OF DUST
Was in Scandanavia---Copenhagen and Malmo, Sweden. The weather was lovely and I've never seen such strapping blondine men. Was surprised that there were blacks, asians and Muslims, always thought the nordic countries were completely homagenous. The students at Lund Universities Malmo Art Academy were sweet. Will give you the full report on how everything went there later as it was too much to absorb.
Met a former collegue of tired Lenny Young, who worked with him with this producer named Jake Eberts. Lenny if you don't recall is the husband of Andrew Gould, who was the manager of the Parlour Club where i did Bricktops. Lenny owned the bar. Well this guy told me a lot of good dirt which i will relay one day but i am too busy with stuff to get into it now. What can i say about Lenny Young. Its just that he isn't a real person at all;he's just a few faculties of a man highly developed; the rest simply isn't there.

Can´t wait to get back to Berlin and have power bitch work sessions with that bubble butt beauty boy Little Alex of Macedonia, and his juicy Franco/German pal Julian Radlmaier who will be my collaborators this fall with the Jack Smith Live Film event. My performance is called Memory Island.

RAGOUT VON ERDSCHWAMMERIN
Haven´t received my screener copy of the new biopic CoCo Before Chanel starring Audrey Tatou. I am anxious to see it because my actor friend Allesandro Nivola is in the picture. I first met handsome Allesandro and his lovely wife the British actress Emily Mortimer through Milena and Martiniano of Los Super Elefantes, oops i mean Elegantes.
The Nivolas lived in Echo Park. I wonder if they still reside in Los Angeles. Allesandro comes from a priveledged background. His father was an academic and his grandfather is the Italian sculptor Constantine Nivola. His mother is an old money Boston braumel. He has had a very low key acting career in movies like Loves Labour Lost, Mansfield Park, Face/Off, Inventing the Abbotts, and Laurel Canyon with Frances McDormand who almost did a performance piece with Los Super Elegantes at Peres Projects in Chinatown, but she backed out at the last minute

Aaron Shock the 28 year old junior congressman from Illinois is a Vaginal Davis fan. Yes, according to my young cute intern Gleeson Brevard the congressman ordered several of my unique posters from performances, and wanted them autographed. He asked for a copy of the Six Sex Weeks poster from Hamburg in 1996, a CHEAP It Happened to Me Poster from 2005 and one of my Vision of Excess and the Philosophy of Gifts posters from the Fierce Festival of 2003. How he knew about these specific posters is beyond me, as I don´t advertise them on the web site. He also asked for any other weird posters. Ain´t life grand?

David Pendleton who is the wonderful and sweet director of the film archives at Harvard University came through Berlin on holiday. I adore Mr. Pendleton who use to work for many years with UCLA´s archive, and also was a member of Mark Simon´s heritage musical group The Boyfriend who were so charming performing regularly at my club Bricktops at the Parlourclub. Speaking of Bricktops I did an interview with Charity Hope Valentine one of the Bricktops girls for Maximum RocknRoll Magazine for their Queer Issue.

Bud Schulberg who wrote the amazing book What Makes Sammy Run died at age 95. He also won an Oscar for his screenplay for the Marlon Brando film On the Waterfront in 1954. I was never a big fan of his 80s movies but director John Hughes(Breakfast Club/Home Alone) also died at age 59. Also passing at age 92 the last of the beat poets Harold Norse who besides being lovers with writer Paul Bowles also had a thing in the early 70s with Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is now the governor of California. People forget that The Terminator use to ply his muscular self as a bodybuilding piece of trade at Muscle Beach in Venice.

My beautiful and extremely talented young art son Jonathan Berger is curating a show in New York in the fall called Nothing Up My Sleeve which is based on the work of the widely unknown yet highly influential artist Stuart Sherman. Sherman was an early member of both the Charles Ludlam and Richard Foreman theater companies. Over a 30 year period he compiled an immense body of his own work in performance, film, video, writing, sculpture and drawing until his death in 2001. The exhibition focuses on the notion of artists using various forms of deception. This will take place at Participant Inc. Gallery in November/December, 2009 as part of RoseLee Goldbergs PERFORMA Biennial. I will do an installation at the gallery but will also perform a reunion show with my legendary homocore band Pedro, Muriel & Esther (PME) featuring all the original members Glen Meadmore, Bique Dick Sneaky Pete and Dean the Babe Opseth. Other artists in the exhibit include Harry Houdini, Andy Kaufman, M.I.A., James Lee Byars, Carol Bove, Matthew Brannon, Superstudio, SITE Projects, Nancy Barton and Mrs. Michael Glass with Allison Somers and Eric Van Speights, Katarina Burin with Eileen Gray, KIOSK/Alisa Grifo and Marco Romeny, Albert Cullum and Robert Downey Sr., Little Switzerland, Stefanie Victor and Jeff Weiss/Hot Keys. This will be my first storming of New Yorika since I was in the Womanizer show at Deitch Projects in 2007. So watch out Manhattan I will be coming to get ya!

BUBBLING BROWN SUGAR
So happy and proud to report that my former collegue at the LA Weekly Ms. Christine "Qtr Pounder" Pelisek is getting national attention for her series of articles reporting on the Grim Sleeper serial killer. Ms. Pelisek is featured in the current issue of Newsweek Magazine and also scored a book deal. Wow! not bad for a little blondine girl from Ottawa, Canada. I adore Christine and like most Canadians she is crazy, so of course that is one of the things i love the most about her. Her Berlin Pudding wishes her all the best for continued success!!!
Speaking of my old LA Weekly colleguens I am also thrilled that Ernest Hardy continues to receive national accolades not only for his stunning writing in the his Blood Beats volumes but for his insightful and dazzling blog which i must say is one of the best blogs in Christendom. Most blogs are all about lazy writing and people with way too much time on their hands, but not with Ernest. Ernest believes in calling a spade a spade. I miss running into him on the RTD---- oops thats MTA bus line. I guess i am showing my age with that reference eh?
Another former LA Weeklyite is Donnell Alexander who is also quite a writer. Donnell and i bonded over the fact that we both grew up Jehovah´s Witnesses, and we also loved the fact that being Witnesses helped us not feel a need to conform to the mainstream. I am delighted with my religious background because it gave me a love of history, reading and probing deeper into all levels of the human pysche. If i hadn´t gone to theocratic ministry school, i wouldn´t have developed into such a powerhouse on the stage.

This sweet email came in from one of my young interns that i have mentored over the years and has been a great help to me with live performances, my experimental film ouvre and dealing with the World Wide Web.
Hey Ms. Davis,
I've been very busy preparing for my departure to Hamburg and then New York after that. I'm completely moving out of my appt. and moving to New York after hamburg. I'm so excited to leave the bay area but also a little sad to leave all of my friends and fuck buddies.
I've been doing research at the Berkeley Library on the Polish Theater artist Tadeusz Kantor. His work is kind of boring but I like his philosophy on art objects. Anyways, a couple weeks ago this this really tall hot blond guy was reading in one of the isles, he was wearing these nylon shorts and it was impossible not to notice his massive bulge. We exchanged a really strange glance, like he was straight but interested. I dunno it was eerie so I didn't really try cruising him any more. Well, I was in there a few days ago and he comes and sits at a near by computer. I try to act cool and ignore him. About and hour later I go into one of the private study rooms to work on "read" i.e. lure him into the room to hook up. no more than a few seconds after I've walked in he barges in. "you like blow"? i'm not a big coke fiend, and drugs from a stranger in the library is no different than off the streets but i say "sure" and he pulls out the bag and a dollar bill and we go to town, this is obviously not what I was expecting but it gets weirder when he takes out two wolf masks and asks if I want to go play in the forest. As he asks this he grabs his cock, which I could see was giant through his pants, and teases me. this guy was a veritable porn star. I'm prettty high and his throbbing cock are really turning me on so I pull the mask over my head and follow him out the library and into the Berkeley hills.
It takes about 20 minutes to get off campus and then another 15 as we hike into a very wooded area, I start to feel like a wolf and make noises and growl I don't know what's gotten into me. I'm soo horny and sweaty now from walking in the hot sun. Maybe it wasn't coke this guy gave me. Finally we arrive at a clearing where there is a large pedestal and lots of fur. he tells me to strip; I do and then he takes off my mask and wraps my body in animal hide, I'm not sure what it's from but feeling the soft fur rub against my cock makes me ooze with pre-cum. I can't move now, my arms are all wrapped up. He drops his pants. Hs cock had to be at least nine inches, I would vouch and say it's even bigger. I wrap my lips around his manmeat. he starts to shove it down my throat, it is so huge I gag and spit all over it. He gets naked. he's lightly chiseled just enough to show off his broad shoulders and hairy body. He unwraps me and licks me from my ass to my eyeballs. He knew how to make an ass feel good, I felt like a helpless babe in the wood, squirming and grinding as he slapped his slippery cock on my body. For the first time he smiles, grins really huge and I make out his sharpened teeth. I start to freak out and for the first time realize I am high, alone and in a very secluded place. I try to runaway but he's got me pinned down, His ripe sweat dripping on my lips. It tastes so good, but i'm afraid he's gonna murder me. I try to push him off but then he slides his cock between my legs. It's throbbing veins and thick head feel so good I don't notice that he's biting me. I see red, and he shoves his cock inside me. I bite back and he thrusts harder. We end up fucking for hours, there is a pool of blood cum and fur. I'm not sure what happened but when I woke up hours later he was no where in sight and I was all bruised and cut.
I'm not working on any new art projects. There were actually a lot of opportunities here in sf to have shows and performance but i'm saving my juice for bigger and better places. I was going to have a big show at New Langton Arts, but they, like many US art institutions are going under because of the economy. So, it's back to the streets, which I'm actually pretty excited about, I don't feel like I have to answer anyone which is nice, But we'll see what new york is like, if I'm not happy there, I'll move to Berlin.
If you have the time and funds, I would love to see you in Hamburg. I'll be at Frise Hamburg. I'll be doing lots of performances as well as a gallery show. Jack Waters and Peter Cramer will also be there. But I'll also be coming down to Berlin for a long weekend, I'm pretty sure i'll be in Berlin the 10th - 13th of sept.

endless! There are some fuglies, but not like the London fuglies, that was real
FUGLY!
The bars in Sevilla were cool, more Bear/Leather type settings. It was cool. I
got to piss next to this hot young slim dude at a bar. He was showing off his
white uncut Spanish dick. His dick had tons of foreskin and was peeing with the
skin down. He gestured to his dick so I touched it as he was pissing. When he
finished I pulled the skin back and he started to get hard fast. Well, the wiff
of stink from that uncut dick was un-real! He kind of broke a smile and pulled
my skin back rubbed my dick head and smelled it. Mine was clean, and I piss
with my skin back so that helps keeping it clean. So he licks his finger that
rubbed my dick and reaches over to let me smell his finger with his dick cheese
smell, it was bad, I was not about to lick that. So he moves me towards the
back of the pisser wall and drops to a squat and starts sucking me. He was not
a good cocksucker, younger guys normally aren't. I didn't cum, but made my way
back to the dance floor.
So that was fun.

DIE SIE ZUM SEXGOTT MACHEN
Merce Cunningham the famed avant garde choreographer and dancer died at the age of 90. Cunningham was the longtime hornpone lover of the composer John Cage who left this mortal coil in the early 1990s. My favorite Cunningham quote “Experience is a form of paralysis”.
I just got two lovely fan letters the other day that put a great big pumpkin smile on my face. One from the French novelist Michel Houellebecq known for writing the book The Possibility of an Island, and the other from Duncan Jones, the son of David Bowie who also sent me a screener copy of his new movie Moon which I´m sure he wants me to write about, and I will as soon as I have time to watch it undisturbed.
Just got some gossip about the firing of Laurie Ochoa as the editor in chief of my former employer The LA Weekly. Basically the story goes that Laurie went to lunch and never came back. I guess the Village Voice/New Times Media corporate bosses were as mean to her as she was to some of the people she fired in the last few years. I have no bone to pick with Laurie. She was always nice to me, but that fugly husband of hers Jonathan Gold I couldn´t believe he won a Pulitzer Prize for food writing. I remember in the 1980s when he was a music writer and had a lame band called Tank Burial. He always struck me as bitter because he wasn´t good looking, and didn´t have the charisma to be a rock star. Well what do you expect when you are a balding portly ginger. He should just be content that he has an attractive wife, who spit out for him a couple of brats. I wonder if Jonathan and Laurie still live in Pasadena next door to the aging actress Madeline Stowe. I really loved Laurie´s mother, she was a very white acting Chicana who was not about to play the role of the pepperpot Abuelita.

HABT TäGLICH SEX!
Filmed a sweet short intermedia dance oriented film with little Alex of Macedonia for his Choc Grinder Production company. Loved working with his film crew which includes manlische Tasty Tim as cinematographer, handsome Julian Radlmaier his producer, and pretty Elektra his production designer. Tan Binh Nguyen did an excellent job on the make-up and hair making me look like the ultimate desire goddess. Tan Binh is a genius. After filming Alex took me to dinner at a scrumpteous Greek restaurant where i had the best split pea soup I’ve eaten in a coons age.
*
Just got a report that my old pal singer/songwriter Rufus Wainright just premiered to mixed results his first opera, Prima Dona at the Manchester England International Theater Festival. The libretto was written by Rufus and luscious Frenchwoman Bernadette Colomine who I´ve known for many years on the LA scene where she sang in the underground art bands The Apache Dancers and Shoo Fly. I´ve always adored the beautiful soft spoken Bernadette, and I hope she has finally escaped from the artistic clutches of her moody bisexual husband Terry Dorn.
*
One of my sweet NYU students Mila Geisler sent me a lovely care packagina from the States that included some new wigs via her sexy pal Valentina, and her pretty San Antonio Tex Mex friend. The two New York ladies were in Berlin vacationing and I met them in front of the Bassy Cowboy Club where we had a few drinks and engaged in a bit of girltalk. The next morning they were off to London town for some serious clothes shopping and manhunting.
Gorgeous Princeton scholar Ricardo Montez stopped by the Cheese Endique Trifecta to bring me a luscious designer cheesecake before taking a train to Strausberg. Young Mr. Montez had gone to the art fag club Pet Shop Bears and had a wonderful time I´ve been told that it is filled with the usual homo careerists, and that there isn´t much of a broiling hot sex vibe. Ricardo confirmed my suspicions. Berlin has a lot of yummy men, but they just don´t seem to have the energies to really get down and dirty in a manner that is filled with joy an elan.
Later at the Trifecta I was joined by my Weissensee students for a send-off for Joana Coppi who will be studying in New York City for a school year. The movie ingenue looking Ms. Coppi was all a flutter with her fun loving beau, Aussie Axel. Lots of laughing, drinking, eating and joyous merriment with all involved.
The other evening i went with Daniel the Scandanavian Muslim to Gayhana the middle eastern nightclub at SO36. Due to the summer holidays the Kottbusser Tor streets were somewhat empty for a Saturday night, and the nightclub wasn´t at its usual capacity. It was nice to experience a weekend with out the usual drunk and disorderly types that make Berlin a bit of a pesky nuissance.
Got a phone call from Frankie McTavish, one of the peripheral members of the First Family of Fuck in Los Angeles. Frankie was in Berlin for a short visit. We weren´t able to connect in person, but it was nice hearing a familiar voice from my hometown. Frankie told me that he is still a hairhopper, and was going to cut his vacation short to service a client in Las Vegas. Frankie use to be gay married to a dot.com mogul and lived a Carol Burnette ill hairdoo Hollywood wife life up in the Mulholland Hills. Frankie was always a good time Sally and is known for his Evil Queen from Snow White tatoo on his back. I´m sure he had a blast at that tired techno club Berghain where he was heading when we chatted on Saturday.

LIEBE-IHRE WEGE UND UMWEGE
Got together with Joel Gibb the Baby Diaper of the Hidden Cameras to discuss working on my LIVE FILM! JACK SMITH! Five Flaming Days in a Rented World project. Joel will be on tour in late October with Hidden Cameras supporting his new album Origin: Orphan which drops on September 22, 2009. A 12 inch EP will be released of the song “In the Na” with remixes by Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters, Stuart Price and Dolby Anal. Joel won´t be able to perform with me for LIVE FILM!, but Little Alex of Macedonia and his hot half French half German pal Julian Radlmaier came up with the idea of filming their parts and somehow mixing it with my live performance. Of course that means I have had to scrap my original Tenderloin rock band concept in exchange for something more showtuny, raw edged and organic. The new title of the piece is Memory Island which sounds more Smithian.
Next year Mr. Joel Gibb will present a stage version of Origin: Orphan that will feature Susanne Sachsse, Val of Noblesse Oblige and the Doll. Joel is hoping to recruit the outrageous award winning Norweigan theater duo of Vegard Vinge and Ida Müller to design the sets and costumes.
Was taken to brunch and drinks by my former student from NYU Ricardo Montez. Young Senor Montez is now 34 years old and is a professor at Princeton University. How my children grow up. Ricardo is a Tex Mex from San Antonio, and is in Berlin for a month working on a special post doc project interviewing expats. We had a delightful time eating at Zam Zam Pakistani Restaurant and having drinks and snacks at tired Cafe Berio in NollandorfPlatz. Both of us got completely wasted and it was so much fun.

Rising Stars, Falling Stars Sunday at Arsenal Institute fur Film und Videokunst was packed to the rafters with celebutants like Berlin legendina Zazie de Paris, with expat Downtown New Yorker great John Heys, experimental film guru Wilhelm Hein with art photog girlfriend Annette Frick, prima ballerina Beatrice “Trixie” Curdua, art historian Christina Rosnersky, intermedia actress Susanne Sachsse, film historian Marc Siegel, Daniel Hendrickson the Scandanavian Muslim, Katja Maya, dreadlocked British Live Artist Richard Hancock, visiting Princeton scholar Ricardo Montez, Nadine of Neu Kölln, super cute Tunisian/Austrian musician Karim Ben Abdelkader with Axel Scheele of the band Lewinski, New York Experimental Film couple Sherrie Millner and Ernie Larsen´s young daughter Nadja Millner-Larsen, Nanna Heidenreich of Arsenal Experimental and curator Stefanie Schulte Strathaus.
The Blue Bros Tim & kJohnny provided a unique live score to the cubist film classic Manhatta along with Rrose Selavy´s Anemic Cinema, the experimental short The Life and Death of 9413 A Hollywood Extra and comedies What a Dish and Pool Shark, W.C Fields film debut from 1915. It was great seeing a skinny W.C. Fields before he got his bulbuous nose, and his mustache seemed to be taking flight right out of his nostrils.

The young NY artist Dash Snow died of an overdose a few days ago. I first met him back in the late 1990s through Bruce “Judy” La Bruce when he was a raucaus teenage grafitti artist along with another kid named Dan. It was also at this time i met Ryan McGinnley who has gone on to become a very well known and successful international art photographer. Judy can party down with the young children in a deluze a daze of booze and pills, but I´ve never been that kind of Grace Jones style party negro. Young Dash and Ryan McGinnley were always giving me pieces of their work, so I have acquired quite a sizeable collection. Judy did tell me that Mr. Snow was related to the uber wealthy philanthropist Christophe de Menil and that his auntie was actress Uma Thurman. I feel fortunate that I was born into the welfare class, i t s less complicated then the world of wealth and priveledge.

A few months ago I was invited to a special preview screening here in Berlin of comedian Sasha Baron Cohen´s new film Bruno. I had completely forgotten about it until recently hearing all this commotion about the movie on NPR and getting several mass emails from queer pundits attacking the flick. Mr. Cohen´s Bruno character is definately his least interesting persona from his BBC comedy program The Ali G. Show. I was only able to watch the TV show a few times at Andrew Gould´s house, my British partner with Bricktops at the Parlour Club. Andrew had cable television and BBC America. What brought the comic actor to world wide fame was his film Borat and the ribald antics of that character. The mock-u-mentary format is a bit played out at this stage of the game, but the sheer lunacy and I Love Lucy shlapshtich still can bring out a chuckle. A lot of Bruno was definately staged. With my Fertile La Toyah Jackson Video Magazine of the early 1990s I was a pioneer of reality TV. I just went out amongst the people with a a shaky tiny camera and did my thing with no budget and certainly no frills. My earliest stage performances were literally on the street as a teenager in the late 70s and early 80s just interacting with people in nutty Jack Smithian situations wearing crazy outfits and just following the flow. The best part of Bruno was the ignorant stage moms and dads willing to sell the souls of their babies to get them on a TV program.

Had a lovely birthday brunch with film historian Marcu Siegel at the Kreuzberg cafe Azul with our favorite Jamaican waitress. Later we were joined by Marc´s beautiful girlfriend actress Susanne Sachsse looking wonderfully summerific. We paid a visit to the young Scandanavian art couple Katja & Simon who live in a glorious penthouse split level compound with a sumpteous view of the TV tower and river. They just gave birth to a bouncy baby boy named Cornelius who is one of the cutest infants I have seen in a long time with personality plus. I instantly fell in love with this child, and that says something as I am usually not a fan of children. We all had a wonderful visit, and Katja´s mother was also there helping with her grandchild. I loved her mother´s gallows sense of humour. Later in the evening i got together with Daniel Hendrickson and his lover Piero Bonhomme for dinner at the Bahu Indische Spezialiltäten restaurant. Both Daniel & Piero will be off to Italy for holiday. Piero gave me some gorgeous shirts from his latest kollezione that I can´t wait to wear. Waiting for the bus home I started chit chatting with a hot muscular Gaysian boy on a fellowship from the University of Washington. What a sweet beauty he was wearing flip flops and a muscle hoody with a booty and rack you could build a dream on.

I WALK THE LINE
Just watched Tuesday Weld in Pretty Poison directed by Noel Black co-starring Tony Perkins and Looking For Mr. Goodbar directed by Richard Brooks starring Diane Keaton. Tuesday Weld is one of the most underrated Hollywood actors. She never became a star, but she should have been. What an iconoclastic figure. She was the original bad girl. An acoholic and drug taker at age 9. She had a nervous breakdown at age 12. I would love to see the movie Who´ll Stop The Rain directed by Karel Reiz that she did in 1978 with Nick Nolte.
Had a lovely time at the Silver Future aka The Silver Lining with visiting scholars Zack & Megan and Daniel Hendrickson. It was too humid in the place, but we were having a wonderful chittle chattle. Earlier in the evening sweet Alexander the Great of Macedonia invited me to a delicious dinner at his new Mehringdamn flat. He and his beau Assof Hochman were in loves eternal grace. Alex and I are going to do a little short film project together before i have to start preparing for my test lecture and interview at the Lund Art Akademy in Malmö Sweden where i made the short list of candidates narrowed down from 150 applicants. I am great teaching students and this position would be a 2 year contract that could turn into something longer. Wish me pluck kiddies. I will need it.
Was invited to the Kai Kuhne fashion show Saturday that is part of Berlin Fashion Week. Will never go to another Berlin Fashion Week show. They really don´t know what they are doing, so they just try way toooooo hard to be fashionistic which comes off all wrong, wrong wrong. At least this year no one brought their toddler age children. The clothes were fine with jewelry by Patricia Von Musulin and shoes by United Nude Eamz, but they really need to get better models. The girls coming down the catwalk were stiff and stiffer. If Berlin wants to be taken seriously in fashion they need to stop copying other cities and do something completely unique and off the cuff. Listen to Ms. Davis, she knows what she is talking about.
The Jack Smith Live Film project that will be at the Arsenal and HAU in the fall just achieved a coup in that Mario Montez famed 1960s New York drag legend will be here in Berlin to take part in the festivities. Mario will certainly have plenty of stories to tell about working with Jack Smith, Andy Warhol and Ronald Tavel who just died.

Great bruncheon at Friedrichshain Park with visiting married scholars Chon "Mover and Shaker" Noriega and Kathleen McHugh who is the director of the Center for the Study of Women at UCLA. Also on hand film historian Marc Siegel, his intermedia actress girlfriend Susanne Sachsse and interpreter to the stars Daniel Hendrickson. A fine time was had by one and all, with lots of laughs and belly flopping screams. I forgot to ask Kathleen if she still works with that icky Tina Oakland. Perhaps Tina finally got booted from UCLA as she was always on shaky ground at the University as dead weight. I knew they chucked Tina out of the Placement Center many years ago and she wound up at the Womens Center. Knowing the brittle Ms. Oakland, she probably held on for dear life.

BLAME IT ON THE BOOGIE
Yes Mrs. Michael Jackson died. She was the greatest of all performance artists. This woman was a genius in manipulation, don´t let anyone tell you otherwise. I wouldnt be a bit surprised if we learn that she fabricated her own untimely demise, just to avoid creditors. It would be brilliant if that were the case.
She really was ahead of the curve, and was a shrewd business woman on top of that, alienating her friend/acquaintance Paul McCartney---swooping up lucrative Beatle songs from under his nose. La Jacksone was one of the few mainstream celebs of international import that i had little contact with over the years. True she came to shop regularly in the early 80s at Retail Slut the Melrose Avenue boutique i worked at, and would buy all of the designs of my Afro Sister Fertile La Toyah Jackson, but she kept a tight lid on her self whenever she was in my presence so it was very difficult to get a proper read on her. But she was definately no dummy. The black culture critic Ernest Hardy has a delightful and insightful take on the woman in his incredible blog. Check it out.
Also dying in groups of threes Ed McMahan of the Tonight Show and Farrah Fawcett. Ms. Fawcett loved her big dicked blondine men. Lee Majors and Ryan O´Neal, both fellas could really work a girls innards into a frenzy. One fact you may not know about Farrah is that she was the original star shoplifter. Forget Ms. Winona Ryder it was Farrah that for the last 25 years or so was the klepto queen. It didnt get in the tabloids or papers because her management would slyly have the stores send them the bills for all items stolen.
And last but not least dance legent Pina Bausch died of cancer. I worked with the divine Ms. Bausch in Los Angeles when she did one of her celebrated spectaculars at UCLA´s Royce Hall. She came to my club Sucker and spent quite some time following me about filming the way i moved which she interpolated into her piece. I never got to see the finished product as i was away performing in Europa. I also took her to some hardcore Latina drag clubs in Silverlake and East LA which she marveled at, and i became one of her last muses. Rest in peace sweet lady.
Rising Stars Falling Stars was lovely. We were on Monday evening as part of the Swedish Madness Series with a screening of the lesbian classic Norrtullsligan or The Nurrtull Gang from 1923. Eunice Martin did an incredible job playing piano with the film, and this time a new performative aktion was added with your hostess reading an English translation of the intertitles outloud to hilarious results.
The celebutants in attendance included Kerstin Poehls of the Swedish Consulate, lovesexy Swedish art star Anna Linder of Film Form and a gaggle of juicy lesbian Scandanavian artists including Eva Einhorn, Annika Ruth Persson with gal pal Beate. All the Swedes were drinking Sect during the screening. Also on hand director Karim Ainouz of the Brazilian film Madame Sata, Nicholas Fox Ricciardi writer with ´Sup Magazine of New York and London, Canadian Andre Mark Pennock of Forum Expanded, German beauty boy Uli Ziemons back from his stay in New York at Anthology Film Archive, adorable American scholars Zach Blas of UCLA/Duke and Megan Skanse, pretty Anna who participated in my Weissensee Class last year with her motorcycle lady friend, DJane Olga Damnitz, curator Stefanie Schulte Stathaus, accessories designer Christopher Kane, Nanna Heidenreich of Arsenal Experimental and delightful young artist Lindsay Lawson with a nice American woman in tow.
The next Rising Stars will be Sunday July 12th with a surprise smorgosbord program built around the experimental silent film Manhatta with live musical performances by the Blue Bros Tim & kJohnny.

HEAVY CROSS
Just returned from a whirlwind visit to merry old Prince Harryland of London, England where i was brought over to host the indie band Gossips record release party for their new LP Music For Men. Was put up in the five star hotel Grosvenor House near Oxford high street. My room overlooked beautiful Hyde Park, and London was sunny bright and very warm. The top secret location of the party was at the new venue of Dalston Superstore a bar near Hackney. Not getting enough rest from doing the play Daddy i felt like the walking dead, but had to sparkle Neelie sparkle! Thank god my co-host for the party was Liza Minnelli doppleganger Cody Critchloe of the performance art group SSION. Cody and i use to correspond with each other back in the late 90s when he was a weenager, but i had never met him in person. Back then he was a young art student and FIT. I had a great time with sweet Cody and Gossip manager Tara aka: Annie Oakley of the Sex Workers Art Show. La diva Beth Ditto was looking like the perfect red hot momma---sexy and delicious, and so were her band mates Nathan aka Bruce Paine and handsome Hannah Billie. I had no idea Ms. Ditto had become such a giant superstar. Everywhere she went there was papparazzi going crazy for her. They even stalked her at the hotel when we returned from the party. Its about time the media concentrated on someone interesting instead of the usual banal types. Lady Beth is a glorious starina in the mode of classic golden age of Hollywood stars like Ava Gardner and Lana Turner with a voice from the godulas.
My London assistant The Love Camel aka: Andreas Novarin secured for me two top make up artists lovely Irish lassy Siobhan and Italian face painter Christina who turned me into a vision of desire. Even my constant sweating didnt melt the hot war paint.
There were so many celebutants at the party that i can only give you a partial roundup. Here goes. Casey Spooner of Fischerspooner who stopped by on his way to dinner with Boy George, Javier Peres of Peres Projects Gallery, artist and scholar Dominic Johnson, Sue Tilley, Blitz kid Princess Julia, designers Gareth Pugh, Louise Gray and Henry Holland.
Love Camel took me to a great Mexican Cantina called Cafe Pacifico in Covent Garden. I liked the food so much that i took Dom Johnson there also. Gorgeous Dom is not only academic with an impressive writing record but a youthquaking live artist who is becoming more famous by the minute.
The Camel took me shopping to Camden Market and we oogled hot boys at Regents Park getting a snack at the Honest Sausage. I also ate at a wonderful greasy spoon and munched on some divine fishcakes at this place called Squat and Gobble in Fitzrovia off Tottenham Court Road. I really needed London and London needed The Doll.
There really is no rest for the insanely wicked, no sooner was i off the plane young French documentary filmmaker Angelique Bosio was at my studio the Cheese Endique Trifecta filming me for a documentary on Bruce La Bruce, and later in the eveninng i had to DJ the Sommerfest Berliner Festspiele part off the K-Damn along with Susanne Sachsse and Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras. Actually it turned out more fun then i thought it was going to be, and was an excellent way of celebrating gay shame in a mostly hetero and family oriented event in the old west.
Tommorow Monday June 22nd dont forget there is a special Swedish Madness Rising Stars, Falling Stars at the Arsenal Institute Fur Film und Video Kunst. I will be presenting the 1923 classic Norrtullsligan or Norrtull Gang and Eunice Martin will accompany the movie on piano. After the screening as always will be a wine reception in the famed Roter Foyer.

DEIN PERSÖNLICHER GUTSCHEINCODE: MAGMA
So sorry i have been lax in writing. Sometimes i think that no one will notice, but if a few days go by and i havent written a word, i start getting an avalanche of emugs. Rehearsing and performing the run of the new play Daddy written by Travis Jeppeson and directed by Ron Athey at HAU 3 has drained me of all energies. Plus i missed seeing lots of visiting dignitaries to Berlin like famed American scholar Amelia Jones who came through town with her new husband.
Luckily head curator of the New Frontiers section of the Sundance Film Festival Shari Frilot literally stalked and kidnapped me treating the Vagimule doll to a scrumpteous feast at this Mehringdamn Greek restaurant. I´ve known Shari for centuries, when she started the famed MIX Festival in New York. She was also my boss at Sundance where i helped with programming before i moved to Berlin. It was great seeing the delightful lady Shari, and meeting her hot Iranian princess girlfriend Roya who is an academic. I had an adorable time catching up with Ms. Frilot, laughing and drinking with her, Nanna Heidenreich of Arsenal Experimental and DJane Olga Damnitz.
Now that Daddy has had its theatrical run, i can relax a bit, but not for long since i am leaving for London to host the indie rock band Gossips record release party. I am also doing some kind of movie with Beth Ditto & gang. I don´t know all the details as Gossip manager Tara, aka: Sexy Annie Oakley of the Sex Workers Art Tour has told me very little.
Well to say Daddy was a problematic production is just skimming the saturated fat off of the vitamin D enriched milkamagnesia. Every day there was crying, knockout sluggos, scandals, screaming and hairpulling. And those were the days we were getting along.
I thought the battles with art kollective CHEAP were something. Daddy took the proverbial pies cake. My take is that the difficulties emerged by going into the rehearsal process with a script that was waaaay too long. I am not a proponent of text based work, and this one not only was that, but was also very linier. I loved the basic story that Travis wrote, and saw the possibilities of having it realized by Ron Athey´s visual deluze adaze. With the genius of foxy Frenchman Christophe Chemin´s sets and costumes and the perfect makeup design of Tan Binh Nguyen, what could go wrong?
Luckily the alchemy of the Chemin/Nguyen/Sentürk triangle united the cast and crew into creating something quite impressive. But there were moments when i was really worried.
Susanne Sachsee as star showed what can happen when you focus your synergies. La Sachsse put on one sterling performance, nailing the tongue twisty Americanetic English text with gusto and flair. I´m a native English speaker and found some of the written cadences very challenging. Suzi, Evelyn Rüsseler and Artur Albrecht really met the challenge.
Frau Russeler is a dream and platinum treasure. Known primarily as a filmmaker this was her theatrical debut and she brought a lot of warmth and tenderness to her portrayal of a precocious black pre-teen. Evelyn has already been offered parts in other productions. Her beauty, and bright shiny expressiveness didn´t go unnoticed. Participating in Daddy was more of a one off for her. I think she prefers to concentrate on her brilliant experimental film practise.
Other standouts in the cast: Lady Gaby Bila-Günther, the Australian spoken word diva and Berliner expat veterana who played the lead Belinda. Gaby was a marvel with her sparkling delivery and honey grey/blue eyes. DJ Snax who created the seductive music and sound design is a beloved international performing favorite. He tore into his comic role as a FIT. Mr. Artur Albrecht as Preacher Creacher was brilliantly demented. Herr Albrecht was raised as a teenager by Fassbinder and the great Volker Spengler. The army of Belindas included a spirited and dedicated group of young talented actresses: Christine Ast, Sabine Böhm, Nora-Anna Hofmann and Karen Sünder who were great to work with. Ingo Ruggenthaler´s creative lighting design wass steller. And a special Joan Jett shoutout goes to legendary German scribe Diedrich Diederichsen for his hilarious video appearance as the judge. Assistant director Frederike Pietsch did a fine job handling the video portion of the piece. I like Fredericke, she´s lovely like a German version of Sandy Dennis if Sandy Dennis was a GDR double agent for the Stassi.
The plays writer Travis Jeppeson really put in a stirring performance in the title role. Christophe Chemin really captured Travis´true essence in the photo he took of him for the flier, and young Mr. J. didnt hold back on stage. The outfit he wore was so picture perfecta with that Hitler Aryan Youth haircut providing just the right goldenen touch.
I wasn´t thrilled with my own performance. I felt like i had to rely on my arsenal of Vagimulic stage trix and tactics. I´m a performer, not a classically trained actor so I dont feel i am able to make dialog written by someone else come alive properly. But its over now, and in all it turned out quite good.
During Cheap Blacky Judy LaBruce was doing double duty directing us and editing his film Otto. Poor Ron Athey was teaching performance workshops, directing and performing a museum performance and juggling a new romantic relationship. Yowza! Now thats what i call multi-tasking.

MAMBO ITALIANO
Italy is problematic. With their neo fascist leader shacking up with teenagers, rampant sexism and corruption lets just say its not one of my favorite nations to visit. So being invited by Ron Athey to perform in his new piece The History of Ecstasy as part of the Napoli Teatro Festival at the only contemporary art museum of Naples The Museo Madre de Donna Regina was rife with hesitation. First of all Italians are notorious last minute queens. The Museum didn´t give us our confirmation numbers for our flights till the day we were leaving. The performance was a return to Daddy Athey´s big productions like 4 Scenes in a Harsh Life and Deliverance of the 1990s when he traveled Europa with the Ron Athey Company. It was exciting being reunited with Athey Company members, the vivacious modern dancer Julie Tolentino and Pigpen, both ladies i love dearly and are magical to watch on stage. Ron commissioned an incredible musical score from young Greek beauty Othon Mataragas who along with counter tenor diva Ernesto Tomasini of Palermo provided the spacious sound design. The other performers from the UK were Lee Adams and sexologist Mouse aka: Amanda Hull, who has to be one of the horniest, yet sweetest ladies I have ever met short of the legendary New York City sextress Patty Powers.
My role in the piece was as a black Madonna lactating and annointing. The performance went well. The set was designed by a German architect named Alex, and was quite beautiful. One of the most famous critics in Italy walked out during the orific fountaining sequence by Mouse, but he still gave the show a rave review. Only in Italy kids!
I hope to never return to grifty, dodgy Naples. The city is beautiful, and the food scrumpteous. I had the best pizza I have ever eaten at the famed Sorbillo restaurante. The lodging at the Bella Arte Resort was plush, though one hideous gay creature on the staff was beyond rude. I had a much better stay on my day off at the small family run inn Hotel Europeo.
Now for the dirt that you my dear readers love to read from la Vagimule. I was not having the curatorial team of Eugenio Viola and Adriana Rispoli. Eugenio´s lover the fashion designer Sam of Rosario Farina clothing line was very sweet, and got us some nice make-up people to take care of that aspect of the performance, but Sr Viola made German curator Heiko Pfost seem like an angel in comparison. I´ve never met such a priss. His tag team partner Dona Rispoli, is gorgeous. She reminded me of 1950s ingenue Pier Angeli. I found her to be brittle and cold beyond belief. Warning to all artists invited to Naples. Beware of Eugenio Viola and Adriana Rispoli, the worst curators I have ever encountered.

Another wild sex story from one of my LA pals. See it as a cautionary tale to unabashed horndoggedness:
So I shared with u my story about my fuckbud in the hills with the big uncut
dick. Well, he has been hellbent on watching me get sucked off by someone. We
were not successful on our last attempt.
So I get a call from him and he explains how we have to meet. I agree to stop
by his place for a treat. So he explains to me in detail the kid who will be
sucking me off. The kid apparently has a mouth from the deepest corners of oral
exstacy and a body to match. The boys ass is legendary. But there is a BUT! He
is as the Doll would say, Fugly... I say ok, I am open, I have a soft spot for
ugly people. So at 10pm promptly the kid arrives, with a big smile and clothes
that showcase his great 22yr old frame. He's about 6ft, 160 or so, so very lean
and a smoking hot ass. He looks Latin from some island. He shakes my hand and
I look at him in the eyes, and Ms Davis I thought I was looking at the devil.
My friend looks at me and smiles. The boy goes into the restroom and comes out
naked. The body belongs in some sort of art work and the more I looked at his
face the more detail I noticed in his look the more frightening he looks.
Steve starts to undress me and I go along, he is also quickly undressed. I am
seated in a comfy chair and the kid kneels down and start licking my crotch and
then sucking.
I am looking at him intensly as he is sucking my nasty chorizo, Steve is
stroking his big monster as he watches. But in my mind I am thinking that the
devil is sucking me off and that he's going to bite off my dick!
As he got more and more caught up with his sucking his face was turning dark
red, his nostrils were flaring and the veins on his forehead were popping out
and my friend holds me cause he said I looked like I was going pale! I wasn't
sure what I was thinking, steve shoves a bottle of Poppers in my face, I've
never done that stuff nor did I know what to do with it. He covers one of my
nostrils tells me to breathe and I take my first ever hit of stinky poppers and
I feel that sensation and now the kid looks like a cross between the devil and a
gorrilla.
I get my bearings after the first hit, the kid takes a hit and then I take
another. Well, he sucked on me for about an hour, I didn't want any of the popper
stuff, I felt out of control, u know I always have to be in control. So I am
ready to explode and the boy is ready. He wants it in his mouth, face and
enjoys it in his eyes! Apparently that is the new thing for fags, cum in ur
eyes.
I am so glad I am old and not young going through all this crazy shit. What
happened to a good old fashion bj.
Fechesita I let out the biggest gush of cum ever! I felt light headed and
thought maybe I was going to puke. My friend also shoots off a big load on the
kids face and also hits his right eye.
I was done, I thought that was the gift Lestat was waiting for. The boy gets
up, runs off to the restroom and cleans up. I see the kid grab an envelope and
he splits. So the kid was an arrangement my friend put together. One of his
daddys rich buddys introduced this wicked looking young boy to my friend for his
oral skills and the frightening look he has.
So now I think I've seen it all. I needed food and food had already been
planned and was plenty after that ordeal.
I have asked about taking pics of him, I don't have the reply yet. We shall
see. So there u have it.

DAUMEN IM WIND
The Baby Diaper Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras is back in Berlin after six weeks working on a new album in Toronto. Had a spirited brunch with Mr. Gibb, his super hot beau Enrico and Laila, the sweet, pretty Iranian academe from Montreal´s McGill University who came through town for a few days before heading off to the middle east where she will be traveling for several months. Laila brought me out to McGill in 2007 for a wonderful visiting artist gig.
***
Had breakfast Sunday with Ron Athey and his lovely Argentine husband Alfredo. Ron isn´t returning to Los Angeles. He will be living in London with Alfredo as an expat, and going through a Phd program. Congrats to Papa Athey on his new life in merry old Queen Lizland. Ron is directing me in this piece called Daddy that premieres June 17th at HAU 3, but before that we both go to Naples for the performance event A History of Ecstasy at the Museo Madre, Contemporary Art Museum of Donna Regina on June 6th.
***
Later Sunday Charity Hope Valentine, one of my favorite Bricktop girls and her gorgeous eurasian lover Tashi came by my studio The Cheese Endique Trifecta. I haven´t seen Charity since 2004 when she moved from LA to go to school in San Francisco. Her boyfriend is half Japanese and Belgium, completely stunning looking with dark hair, soulful eyes and a masculine ardour that is a bit bewitching. I also loved his soft spoken manner, he is a perfect, young patrician gentleman. And i am so jealous that Charity has robbed the proverbial cradle, going out with a much younger man----GET IT GIRL!!!!!!
We never talked about her ex-husband Andrew Gould, who was my partner with Bricktops, though while Ms. Charity was in the bathroom Tashi did mention to me that Andrew´s dull long term companion Lenny Young actually took my advice, and is working on a movie about his Gypsy background. Lenny was always infuriated when i would tell him that the only thing interesting about him was that he was a Gypsy.
I miss Andrew Gould, he will always have a piece of my black golden retreiver heart

NUIT ET BROUILLARD
Rising Stars Falling Stars was brilliantine on Saturday evening at Arsenal Institute für Film und Videokunst. Canadian silent screen actress, producer/director and animal trainer Nell Shipman is really a feminist icon to be reckoned with. She is probably the only moviemaker to feature a dog having a flashback. Back to God´s Country 1919 was a tour de force. The flick was made even more enjoyable by the piano accompaniment of Ms. Eunice Martin who just came back to Berlin from China.
A vast array of visiting dignitaries came to the film and stayed to shmooze in the Rote Foyer during the after screening wine reception. Among the VIP´s: Canadian video artist Steve Reinke who curated his own program Monday, that also included two nights of screening his own incredibly whimsical videos. Steve makes the kind of work that i just love. We are both certainly cut from the same nutty clothe. One of my favorite of his videos featured portraits of slain soldiers in Iraq arranged via their attractiveness. God i loves me them Canucks!
Rising Stars is the most mixed event in Berlin featuring the hoite paloi and the nosferati. Saturdays guest list included Katherina Fichtner of the Canadian Consulate, CHEAP´s Marc Siegel with intermedia actress girlfriend Susanne Sachsse who stars in Ron Athey´s Daddy at HAU 3. Anna Muelter, DJane Olga Damnitz with gal pal Nanna Heidenreich of Arsenal Experimental, curator Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, Rick Owens´cute assistant Asha Mines, experimental filmmaker Saul Levine, San Francisco punk legend Jennifer Blowdryer who gave me a copy of her latest tome Good Advice for Young Trendy People Of All Ages. Ms. Blowdryer now lives in New York where she is a spoken word star. Balkan beefcake Sasha of bbooks kollective, film historian John Paul Goergen, British artist Andrew Kerton and his posse of tall, thin, young art fagulas, Laurie Andersons right hand gal Ruth Schönegger, visiting American scholars Zach Blas and Megan Skanse, video artists Gunsi Holmstrom &
Cathy High, Scandanavian Muslim Daniel Hendrickson who is off to Japan for vacation, male ingenue Tamar Novas in Berlina straight from his triumph at Cannes with Almodovars latest film Broken Embraces, Orlando of the pop group The Maccabees, pretty British photog Elly Clarke (with her lovely blondine sister Laura who brought her yummy actor beau Toby) Ms. Clarke just moved to Berlin, and is a glam addition to Teutonic society. Oh and i can´t forget to mention that scrumpteous Norweigan art photographer Benjamin Alexander Huseby, he is one super hot dark haired boy vixen.

LES HERBES FOLLES
The wonderful and talented young feminist filmmaking genius Evie Rüsseler who is co-starring with me in the new play Daddy by Travis Jeppeson, that premieres June 17th at the HAU 3 took me out for apperetif and din din Friday to celebrate my Ethyl Eichelberg award win. I got to ride on the back of her sexy Yamaha motorcycle. The last time i did this was at a Gay Pride Parade in San Francisco in the early 90s with Dykes on Bikes. It was scary but exhilerating! Evie makes her theatrical stage debut in Daddy, and she brings to the stage the same whimsical delight that is in her short film studies. After a delicious meal at the Lesbian Tapas boite in Kreuzeberg we were back on the motorcyle and over the bridges of Madison County into Friedrichshain/East Berlin to see GOSSIP perform. What a magnetic evening it was hanging back stage with the great beauty of all beauties Ms. Beth Ditto, resplendid in Vivienne Westwood, and her luscious manager Tara aka: Annie Oakley of the Sex Workers Art Show, and the rest of the fun loving spirited Gossip gang. The audience gave the group the proper worship such true shtars deserve. Can´t wait till the album drops which is their first on a major label. The new songs that were introduced are sensational. Ms. Ditto is a musical Flannery O´Connor.
Seen in the audience My Space operating chief Owen Van Natta, haute couture designer Frank Sorbier, German director Christian Petzold, actress Birgit Minichmayr and handsome, well hung Chinese action star Qin Hao.

One of my favorite Bricktops kids Miss Christiane left LA at around the same time i did, and moved to Portland, Oregon where she is designing and making by hand some unique retro styled clothing, including hats, vests, and bloomers through her new etsy store. Go to littlemisscrow.etsy.com and spend, spend, spend. Believe me you will be thrilled with your purchases.

JOHNNY ONE NOTE
Feeling in better spirits so i went to the famed punk venue SO36 to see MEN perform to a knockout sluggo enthusiastic crowd of devotees. A very cute lovesexy bevy of pert baby dykes in sports bras closed ranks in the nosh pitulem.
Seen in the celebutante huddle Arsenal Experimental´s beautiful and brainy Nanna Heidenreich with juicy gal pal DJane Olga Damnitz who just celebrated her 21st birthday. Balkan baby studkin Sasha of bbooks kollective looking very vegan delish strutting that bubble butt and buxom pectoralikins. Famous LA artist Dean Sameshima was turning heads with his boyish gaysian beauty. Ran into one of my luscious Weissensee students Lydia Hamann who was sporting a brand new fancy modern hairdoo while dressed in her usual glama mode. Visiting academe and hard bodied musclecologist Devin Fore and a lady friend told me about the must see exhibit of 91 year old Dada-ist Carol Rama at the Isabella Bertolozzi Gallery on Schoenberg Ufer across from the Neue National Museum. I am anxious to check it out.
Loving thankx and kisses to JD Samson, Ginger Brooks Takahashi and young guitar goddessa Miss Michael O´Neill for inviting me to their show which really got my mind off my romantic troubles and foibles. Something tells me that this new music group MEN, like GOSSIP is bound to stir some much needed trouble in the music industry. I even ran into ganymede TV honcho Ryan Murphy of Nip/Tuck fame in the audience. What was he doing at a punky indie rock concert? Most likely research/rip off for a new cable TV show. Hmmmmmmmmm

Don´t forget this Saturday May 23rd at 9pm i host Rising Stars, Falling Stars at Arsenal Institute Für Film und Video Kunst in the intimate Kino 2. This month its all about Canada with little known feminist film star Nell Shipman, and a screening of her 1919 hit Back To God´s Country. Eunice Martin will be accompanying the film on klavier, and after the movie is a wine reception in the Rote Foyer.
