DENTON WELCHIAN MAIDEN GOYAGE

Received so many emugs concerning the health of Mrs. Michael Glass in Los Angeles. This is the latest info from Jeffreyland Hilbert: Mike was moved to Barlow Respiratory Hospital about 2 weeks ago. He had a tracheotomy and feeding tube installed to help him breath and get nutrition more easily. A group of us met with his doctors last week and Mike's condition varies from day to day. Long-term prognosis is bad. He will probably be a quadriplegic with little movement in head/eyes. Barlow specializes in rehabbing respiratory-challenged patients, getting them to the point where they can breath without aid of artificial means. According to Mike's doctor, Mike is currently at 6 on a scale of 1 - 19. If/when he can reach 19 (breathing on his own) then he will be moved to other facility to live out his days. We are hoping he's eventually able to communicate his wishes - whether he wants to die or continue living.

This new restored print is sheer beauty and the accompaniment of Eunice Martin made it like seeing the film for the first time. Eunice is such a musical genius and hot spicine Berlin treasure. Film Historian Marc Siegel filled in for Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus who being one of the busiest curators in the universe had to attend to special duties abroad. The incrowd included artist Yorgos the Greek Byzantine Ottoman,my partner in grime Daniel Hendrickson the Scandinavian Muzlim, lovesexy Nanna Heidenreich, Uli Ziemons the handsomest man in all Europa who helped me film a shoutout to the people of Liverpool, England where I will be performing Nov 8th at Chew Disco Volume 12 part of the Queer Up North Art Festival Homotopia, Australian journalista Stuart Braun, the effervescent Manuela aka: DJane Bianca Kruk, Israeli junior artiste Noam, Butt Magazine Calendar hottie Little Telemachos Alex of Greek Passiveland who styled the Doll and did her hair and make-up, Johannes the new Arsenal projectionist, Beatrice Cordua aka Trixie Schönherr who has a new performance coming up at Dock 11, Ian MacKaye(Fugazi/Minor Threat) and lady love Amy Farina of the post-punk bluegrass band The Evens, Italian cineaste The Love Camel aka: Andrea Novarin,hunky thrombone and artist Haroon Mirza,aristocratic art patron Harry dÁvigdor-Goldsmid, petite Gallic filmmaker Marie Losier with visiting New York friends Olek a cute and personable young Russian artist and his lovely post-Louise Brooksian galpal who bought a copy of the RSFS chap book reader that contains most of my nutters introductory texts with photos, drawings and insane scribble. The next evening I gave an extemperaneous artist talk called Beware the Holy Retarded Whore as part of the Erasmus Intensive Program through UDK at the Ulfer Studios in Wedding the same place we rehearsed at for Communist Bigamist back in 2011. The facilitators were my good British pals dashing scholar Martin Hargreave and serene Sophia of the Berlin based artist kollective plan b. I was expecting no more then 20 people and was surprised that there was an attractive horde of 150 plus  young International students from countries like Finland,Iceland, Brazil, Greece, New Zealand, Poland, India and China. My talk was very salon style creating a little living room art directed set with me sitting on a loveseat and the students all sprawled about on floor mats. I encouraged all the lesbians and baby dykes to take off their sports bras and the men to do helicopters with their penises. I was so scattered and crazy I don´t even remember what I talked about and I can´t believe people listened to my nonsence for over 2 hours.

No one makes me laugh more then the Love Camel aka: Andrea Novarin who has been visiting her doll while attending the Porn Film Festival. Love Camel and I have been having a hoot of a time. I also had a nice visit with one of my darling Bricktops at the Parlour Club children Jose Promis who I met for breakfast at gay haunt Café Berio with one of his longtime pals from Los Angeles. Jose gifted me a copy of his new CD and I can´t wait to listen to it when I get back from my travels performing in the UK for the Homotopia Queer Art Festival. Received a cute note from one of my brilliant former Malmo Art Academy students Stine who is in a very popular queer indie electro band with her sexy lover. Stine will be showing some of her videos in an exhibition that opens tonight. I have to prep for RSFS and my UDK lecture Monday so I won´t be able to attend.

I also had a wonderful luncheon with film historian Marcu Siegel at the Indian tourista restaurant Amrit in Potsdamer Platz. We went there so we would be close enough to go to a special presentation at the Arsenal featuring the gorgeous lesbian filmmaker Angela Anderson who is also known on the scene as DJane Olga Damnitz. Angie who although she is in her thirties looks like a sparkling baby dyke and was presenting a trailer and script reading of her new project called Frostville which I am sure will turn into quite the dynamic feature film as everything Angie touches turns goldsilver and ruby platinum. That’s how mega talented Angie is. The other two female artists who have received funding grants to make their projects include Gülay Akin and Tatjana Turanskyi of the Hangover Art Kollective.

Went to Theater An Der Parkaue with Skandinavian Muzlim warrior Daniel Hendrickson to see the great Susanne Sachsse´s fractured fairy tale of Hans Christian Andersen´s Die Schneekönigin. The children in the audience turned things into an interactive hootenanny as they shouted out loud to the antics of the characters on stage and were swept away by the resplendid visuals including a most beautiful vision of a green eyed wonder boy portraying the Snow Queen. The Sachsse elite power team of geniuses in the form of Nebojsa Tabacki´s brilliant stage design, the Leigh Boweryesque costumes of Angelika Wedde,Dragan Asler´s choreography and enchanting musical score of kJohnny Blue make this stage production a must see for the upcoming winter holiday season. The celebutants in the audience: Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus of Arsenal Inst für film und videokunst just back from Egypt and the Middle East, Nanna Heidenreich with her fabulous sister Dodo and lovesexy mom, Hanna Hurtzig of Mobile Academy, Berlin casting agent suprema Constantine Akmed Berger, Elisabeth Heckel one of the M&M´s from Max n Moritz production from the 2007-8 season and the wonderous Theodora of bbooks kollective who contributed to the Snow Queen production with her lovely video projections.

Received a bunch of emugs from several people from around the globe concerning my text about Parker Tyler. I sometimes forget that I have millions of readers worldwide, until a particular post sparks a bunch of feedback. Got a nice emug from the legendary underground filmmaker and avant garde godhead Wilhelm Hein. Wilhelm Hein and his art photographer girlfriend Annette Frick have been traveling around Europa with the SRO magnum opus final event You Killed the Underground-the three screen version, which has been attracting hordes of young people who want to feast upon this legends incredible work. Here is what Wilhelm sent me:

I just read your diarie,speaking,and i have to give you a small history lesson: sorry you cant compare:parker tyler,whose work i know very well and also his value in the history of the avantgardefilm u.a.but vito russo was a person from a total different planet,he know definitively the books by parker tyler,but what he did was far ahead of his time.when i was living in new york from 81 to 82,i went to a lot of his monday late night screenings,which were always packed with great people(not like these little borgouis audience in the arsenal for example)he just started to write his famous book,which was a result of these screenings,in one night,i always will remember the silence in the packed room with glamourous peole: BE CAREFUL.A VIRUS IS GOING AROUND,PLEASE USE CONDOMS he was very serious and was talking about the new virus, AIDS was not a topic -nobody knew anything about it.people had to go into the hospital and were seperated like wild animals,who kille people than he becomes more and more involved in the political movement,he came to berlin,a very good friend of my friend manfred salzgeber,who invited him, and spread the information.
also in europe,wher nearly no information was avaluable both activists died very early,but their work is not only a footnote in the history of the art and filmworld or material for small talks

PIERRE AND THE PAMPLEMOUSSE

 

When I was at dinner at the Korean restaurant with film historian Marcu Siegel and Skandinavian Muslim Daniel Hendrickson besides some fervent gossiping the name of Parker Tyler came up.  Mr. Tyler  was an American surrealist, poet and film critic.  He was also a writer for the journal Film Culture and was film commentator for Amos Vogel´s historic film society Cinema 16.  I adore the titles of Parker Tyler´s tomes: The Young and Evil,  The Hollywood Hallucination, Magic and Myth of the Movies,  Dragtime and Drugtime, Sex Psyche Etc., and Screening the Sexes: Homosexuality in the Movies, 1972 which came out a decade before Vito Russo´s The Celluloid Closet.
