DRACULA IN PAKISTAN
Had breakfast with Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim at the Turkish boite Vadi on Karl Marx Strasse Friday morning before we headed to kJohnny Blue’s recording studio in Kreuzkoelln to work on Commie Biggie with Susi Su and Nazli. Daniel and I recorded bill&coo sounds for our big love scene in the piece where my character makes mincemeat of Communisms tiny sphincter.
For you devoted fanatics who have been following my internet radio broadcasts with Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Magazine. Please click on the link below for Manuel’s new blogina with all the pod sounds we have recorded and other giblets.

O and I received this email from Berlin artist Liz Rosenfeld:
Dear Friends,

As many of you know, I have been spending the last year and half working on my film- triptych, " Surface Tension," which looks at moments in the lives of three- female artists ( Anita Berber, Hannah Höch, and Leni Riefenstahl) who lived during the Weimar Period in Berlin. With the donations and help of my amazing international and local community of friends and colleagues, I have successfully been able to complete Frida & Anita ( already screened at The Tate Modern, The British Film Institute, and Moviemento in Berlin) and most recently have completed the pre- production and shooting for the second film in this series HÖCH (currently in the editing process.) I want to thank you all for your previous support for the first two films in the series.

We are slated to film the third and final piece in the series, Die Neue Frau, a constructed " uncovered" real of Third Reich filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl's home movies revealing an ambiguous relationship she may or may not have had with Eva Braun, Hitler's mistress. Die Neue Frau takes place in 1933 ( the last official year of The Weimar Republic) and tracks the transition of Berlin from decadence into fascism.

We are slated to film in early August, but must meet our funding goal in order to be able to afford the film stock and post- production costs. I would be extremely grateful if you could take a moment to read more about this project, and consider our fundraising campaign: http://www.indiegogo.com/Die-Neue-Frau.
Sending Love and Many Wishes from Berlin,
Liz --

O and the baby diaper of the Hidden Cameras that gorgeous male creature known the world over as Joel Gibb just posted his new video he directed ala the old Hollywood film musical helmer Stanley Donen. Check it out here: http://vimeo.com/25775173 and let me know what you think.
This little emug from love camel, Andrea Novarin in London:
Oh Doll, the camel had the most horrible experience of his humped life. I went to a kinky night called Collared that used to be fine a few months ago. But this time, I felt like Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner or Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now when they mention they have witnessed the horror, the horrors. There were no more than 20 people. Amongst them: a young chubby queen in a harness dancing horribly to Lady Gaga, an old skinny thing with a hairy back and a raven colored toupee; an even older obese black man in a white g string probably bought from Lidl for 99 pence; an octogenarian clone of Peter Murphy from Bauhaus with spikey hair and the smell of hairspray coming from him that was permeating the entire club. It was like a freak show, in the worst possible way. It was revulsion therapy! I managed to stay 25 minutes just to finish my drink but wanted to leave after 5!!!!! I almost wanted to be amongst all the Nosferatus and Nosferitas of Berlin instead!! Kissy

Big peniled writer Travis Jeppeson also emailed me that he is in Beijing on a fellowship with German artist Christian Schoeler till August. I had contacted Travis to see if he could book a performer from Austin Texas at Pork@ Ficken 3000 as a favour to designer Rick Owens. Rick Owens and his ladylove and muse Michele Lamy have brought the charms of the lowrent dive bar The Spotlight to Paris, and have recreated the famed Hollywood Blvd hole-in-the-wall for the Gallic conneisseur. Glen Meadmore just did a show at The Spotlight-Paris, and its actually a fab idea as the city of light is in much need of new nightlife additives.

LESEN LASSEN
Monday we started Communist Bigamist-Two Love Stories rehearsals. Well we aren’t actually rehearsing but putting together the multi media sections of the new piece Communist Bigamist that I am collaborating on with the divine Susanne Sachsse of CHEAP kollective. This new project is based on the 1950s film The Bigamist starring Joan Fontaine, Ida Lupino and Edmund O’Brian that was directed by Miss Lupino. In our version Susi and I play Ruth Fischer and Angela Davis who are both married to Communism which will be represented on stage by light and sound. As Angela Davis, Communism and I adopt the Black Panthers while married to Ruth Fischer Communism has a biological child that takes the form of Socialism. John Blue aka:kJohnny is doing the sound design, while the beautiful Nazli Kilerci who is half Turkish half Kurdish is the production assistant. The sets will be designed by Nebojsa Tabacki who designed Stofel, the CHEAP kollectives children’s piece at the Parkaue Theatre. The lighting is by Jackie Shemesh the Israeli lighting designer who works with international art shtar Yael Bertrana and lives in London. The costumes will be designed by Jacob Lena Knebl of Vienna’s Tanzquartier. Makeup and hair will be created by that fashion powerhouse - the gorgeous Tan Binh Nguyen who designed the makeup for CHEAP Blacky in 2007 and Daddy in 2009. Tan Binh is singlehandedly taking over Fashion Week in Paris working with designer Boris Bedjian and also Commes Des Garcson. In fact Tan Binh was flying to Paris to do a photo shot with Asha Mines, who use to be Rick Owens assistant and is now one of the most in demand fashion photographers on the planet. I first met Asha when she was a student of mine at Cal Arts with Scarlette Rouge, the daughter of Michele Lamy. See how interconnected life can be.
On Monday we met at Frau Sachsse’s compound where she cooked a deliciously nutritious luncheon and we went over the script outline and watched the movie The Bigamist. Tuesday we met at Tan Binh’s spacious Kranoldplatz flat for make-up tests and Wednesday at Jurgen Brunnings Wurst Film studio on the Haupt Strasse where we started photographing the elaborate projections that will be part of the performance piece with lighting help by Jurgen’s editor Michael. Nazli took the photos. The 50s era pulp fiction detective novel adverts were our inspiration and TB beat a flawless face on the doll that left everyone in utter hysteria.
Later I met up with Ms. Susi at the Veneklassen Werner Gallery at Checkpoint Charlie for a film presentation Zurueck in Die Zukuntt (Back Into the Future) by the German guru of experimental film Wilhelm Hein. The program began with the rare screenings of Kali Filme that featured a collage grouping of wit and profundity ranging from ladies in prison, women with weapons, sexploitation and the brutalities of war and death mashup ending with a lesbenisch flirtation and passionate kiss. Simply Perfect. After a short beer intermission Tim and John(kJohnny) Blue performed rivetting live music to the rarely seen W&B Hein classic Doppelprojektionen. What an evening of love it was. On hand sharing in the magic: steamy French booty pies Michel Belague and Guillaume, prima ballerina Trixi Cordua and her art/filmmaker husband Ludvig Schoenherr, art photog Annette Frick, Susanne Sachsse looking very sommer sportive, American painter Matt who will be living in Berlin for four months and whose prinzlauber flat and studio are provided for by the Veneklasen Werner galerie. Matt use to live in Neu Koelln a few years ago and I first met him through photographer Ryan McGinley at the turn of this century. He has been living back in New York, and with his gay clone beard and scraggly hair was almost unrecognizable from the cute young cleanshaven dark ginger fag I meet at Carnegie Hall in 2001. Well the last time I saw Ryan McGinley he had morphed into an Amanda Bearsely style lesbian so I guess no one ever remains the same.
Thursday Susi, Nazli and I were at kJohnny Blue’s Kreuzkoelln recording studio working on sound collages that will feature in The Communist Bigamist. It was tough work but lots of fun. We went around the corner for luncheon at the famous Kofte Boite and really chowed down.
Later in the evening I was back at the Veneklasen Werner Gallery for the second half of the Wilhelm Hein program that featured a screening of his masterwork You Killed the Underground or the Real Meaning of Kunst Bleibt Bleibt. The section featuring Susanne Sachsse and Marc Siegel fornicating with a strap-on and black double headed dildo was just so amazingly beautiful in a classically poised way. I love the color of their skin which seemed to glow and the music from Tristan & Isolde. The other scenes featuring Annette Frick in the Canary Islands was also quite lovely and with everything that Wilhelm does there is so much whimsy, humour and youthful zest and affirmative love of life. Its hard to believe that Wilhelm is now 70 years old. His spirit is that of youth personified. Among those in the audience: Prima ballerina Trixi Cordua, Nazli Kalerci and her hot Greek artist boyfriend Yorgos, Tim and kJohnny Blue, Susanne Sachsen & Marc Siegel, drag queen gallerist Juwelia, the Montgomery Gallery girlz and whordes of Hein followers both new and old. I was starving after the screening so I whisked off with Frau Sachsse and Herr Siegel for grub at Andy’s Diner in nearbye Potsdamer Platz. The food isn’t great there but its one of the few places opened late. Around Checkpoint Charlie and also at Potsdamer Platz the summer evening was producing skads of juicy scantily clad tourist boys who were a constant source of distraction to the doll.
In the morning at the Chocolate Grinder film Kollective offices I had a Skype conference call with video artist Wu and her producer Roya who is also the girlfriend of Shari Frilot the head programmer with Sundance’s New Frontiers.Shari use to be my boss at Sundance and for the Platinum Experimental Film Festival in Los Angeles. Wu is going to have me voice the Silver Platter Bar in Westlake/MacArthur Park for the majjical realness documentary film Wildness that centers on the famed art party night at the historical immigrant tranny bar in downtown Los Angeles.

NUR DAS TRANSVESTIT
Your Vagimule Davis doll is one sickly little lady. Well let me preface this announcement by saying I am a bit of a hypochondriac, but after going to the Lung Lab the other day and getting the pronouncement by the doctor that I have Asthma it was a bit of a shockerooney to be sure. It’s a mild form of asthma, but nonetheless I am reminded of my late sister´s travails with the disease, the inhaler and constant emergency room visits. Now that I have health insurance I have been on a kick to take care of all the things I couldn’t when I lived in the United Statuals. So slowly I have been having dental work done that I neglected for years and also doing up follow-up from my Henry the 8th diagnosis of gout that I received here in Berlin back in 2008. When I first moved to Germany I was going from project to project and didn’t have time do go to the doctor but now I am making time and seeing the famous Dr. Stephen Minkx who not only does western medicine but eastern as well. Will keep you informed on my health issues. Alas the decay of age.
Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim was my date for the HAU Theatre sommer party behind HAU 1 Friday evening. It was a chilly summer night, but the BBQ and alcohol kept everyone in warm spirits. Joining the CHEAP brigade of Marc Siegel, Susanne Sachsse and Salome Gersh at the picnic tables: Sexxxy Sascha Woelck, Suave Rogier one of the queer bearded Pierrot Lunaire bandits, my old crush Paul Plamper, the radio play director who was Martin Wutke´s assistant when we were working on the film LA Faustus,Brit artist Phil Collins, curator supreme Christoph Gurk who is now the ex of artist Karen Cytter, luscious Nanna Heidenreich, demure and sweet Nadja Talmi, the gracious and elegant Susanne Goris the HAU tech directrix,
Manlische HAU bossman Mattias Lianthal looking dapper and cracking jokes in a professorial sports jacket, charming Kerstin from pressabteilung,
good time Sally´s Elisabeth and Sonja spreading joy with their portable vodka shots and the divine beauty of HAU Katrin Dodd.
I had to leave early as the next day I was performing with the feminist art band Piss Göttin at Kunst Werke Inst for Contemporary Art. The goddess was surely blessing us as it poured rain the entire day guaranteeing us a soaked by spirited crowd that included Wilhelm Hein and his art photog girlfriend Annette Frick, Tim Blue, Axel & Joanna, Lydia, Susanne Sachsse, Saul the art curator from the Frankfurt Museum with his rock steady crew and handsome Japanese/Swedish filmmaker Cary Fukunaga(Jane Eyre)with his squeeze American actress Michele Williams. Mr. Fukunaga told me that I played a mean electrikkkk guitar. As my character of Senta Burma I was only making noise as I don´t know how to play any instrument. As a free jazz punk outfit we sounded better then I thought we would. It was the drum playing of Wanya aka: Neam Lhok that kept it all together, but I certainly had a wonderful time with my musical comrades Katja von Hellendorf, Cristian Forte, Sophie Heartbreakin Fatale and the spoken word goddess Lady Gaby whose Australian accent makes everything sound sensual. The wonderful visuals and sound design by Paloma Merchan, Vika Kirchenbauer and Clara Valverde also contributed to making this quite an event. And I was happy with my yarn sculpture that surrounded the playing field. The museum posted a video if you want to see the action unfold for yourself

Das Video ist Online: http://vimeo.com/25944347

I was exhausted and didn’t party with everyone, but went straight home to feed my face and get some sleep because the next morning I was finishing the ZacKary Drucker film along with the Chocolate Grinder collective of Little Alex, Assaf Hochman and hunky Tim Schenkl the nude director of photography. Tasty Tim is one of the most gifted, talented cinematographers working in Europe, he makes everything glow and is so utterly a focused lensman, and he is very easy on the eyes with a muscular body, big thick hands and feet and a penis that can open raw clams.
One of my talented NYU students Alexander Casso is in a group show that opens tonight from 5 to 10 at this secret space:

LECKEREIEN
Had a lovely moviola dinner evening at Flemish royal Koen Claerhout´s spacious Greifwalder Strasse flat with Koen´s sweet young American roommate Jess Newman, Katrin Dodd the beauty of HAU and the vivacious curator Cordula Daus. I brought the films The Thin Man (1934) starring William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick&Nora Charles. The film also featured a very young Maureen O´Sullivan, the mother of actress Mia Farrow. After dinner we watched Mae West and strapping Cary Grant in She Done Him Wrong (1933)which had everyone commenting that Ms. West´s strut was very hip hop nation. Well the rumour about the late superstar was that she was a light skinned black woman passing as white.
Koen is a magnificent cook and delighted us with Tagliatele with chicken, spinach and Belgian herbs, the starter was a refreshing mozzerella rucula summer salad and desert the most heavenly cappucino creme berry dainty. Koen graciously gave the Vagimule doll her comfortable bed to sleep on and i was soon awash in dreamland.
Koen was living in Egypt for six months studying the Arabic language and culture. He was sharing a flat with Hannah Al Bayati the famous Iraqi political analyst whose father started the Bath Party in Iraq before Sadam Husain got his hands on it. I have met Hannah before and she is a fascinating young woman very much committed to social change in the world.
Yesterday morning my juicy daughter ZacKary Drucker took me and Little Alex of Chocolate Grinder Film Kollective out for breakfast. We were having a quasi business meeting ironing out details for the next film shoot for the project that Lady Z is making while here in Berlina.
Tuesday i was taken to breakfast by Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim. We ate at the cute new Neu Kölln boite Vadi on Karl Marx Strasse and oggled all the humpy Turkish and Arab boys, then i went to luncheon at Baby Diaper Joel Gibb´s compound in RixDorf where he showed the latest video he directed for his band The Hidden Cameras which is pure genius and super sexxxy. Baby Diaper had been back in Toronto for almost a month and I really missed him and it was nice catching up. He is super busy with summer festival tours and he is also going to perform with Wieland Speck and Zazi De Paris at the Arsenal in August as part of the tribute to Herr Speck´s illustrious film career. Later i went to the Arsenal to see an amazing print of Stanley Kubrick´s Barry Lyndon (1975) starring a gorgeous Ryan O´Neal and the goddess that is Marisa Berenson. Ryan plays the character of Redmund Barry which is what he named his drug addled son by actress Farrah Fawcette .
Speaking of films i forgot to mention that several months ago i was invited to a special screening of the new Cameron Diaz comedy Bad Teacher. I have to give Ms. Diaz credit for allowing herself to be photographed so unflatteringly. It worked with her character. Now that she is getting a bit long on the tooth her rubbery features really lend themselves to slapstick and potty humour, and i did find the film entertaining in a guilty pleasure like manner. The highlight for me was a scene where Ms. Diaz and Justin Timberlake are dry humping, which i thought was pretty brave that they would chose to recreate what their actual sex life was all about as it is commonly known that Mr. Timberlake has a frottage fetisch of the rare extremis. O and the adoreable actor Jason Seagel is also in the film. Before Mr Seagel became known he and i had a brief flirtation with each other that never went anywhere. Jason is chunky but delightfully funky.

O and actor Peter Falk died age 83. He was the star of the successful Columbo detective series on TV in the 70s but was also a fantastic film actor in such movies as Woman Under the Influence.(1972) directed by John Cassavettes and Husbands (1970)
Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springstein´s E Street Band also passed age 69 of a stroke. I don´t think it was known by too many people that Mr. Springstein and Mr. Clemons were sometime lovers. Their relationship really blossomed in the 1970s, and they actually hadn´t fornicated with each other since then. See all the hot gossip you learn from me? You won´t read any of this on Janet Charleton´s Hollywood blog.

UND WIR STELLEN DIE KNALLHARTEN FRAGEN
Rising Stars, Falling Stars was packed to the proverbial rafters last night for our tributata to Mabel Normand the woman responsible for molding what later became the film auteur Charlie Chaplin. Some of the younger children in the audience were surprised how entertaining a film almost a century old can be. Some things are just eternal as was the musical accompaniment by the divine Eunice Martin who tore into Tillie´s Punctured Romance directed by Mack Sennett with humour and finesse. Ms. Martin is indeed a Berlin musical treasure. The film´s star is Marie Dressler who is a comic wonder. After the screening in the Rote Foyer the lovely Empress of the Arsenal Stefanie Schulte Strathaus who is off to her secret vacationland today for some well earned R&R. Frau Schulte Strathaus is the hardest working woman in film curatorialdom. Wishing her well for her holiday retreat the beautiful film curator Dorothea Wenner and winsome escort Mickey, lovesexxxy artist/programmer Angela Melitoupoulous, prima ballerina Trixie Cordua, charming Portugese actress and artist Elsa Aleluia who is the biggest fan and supporter of the Arsenal and a new RSFS devotee, Paulo the sauve Italian architect and old CHEAP klub regular who was grilling Ms. Schulte Strathaus about the beautiful and talented Eunice Martin, and wanting to know everything about all the marvelous programs and screenings that Arsenal Inst für film und video kunst has to offer.
Film Historian Marc Siegel and his intermedia actress and curator girlfriend Susanne Sachsse with their brilliant 18 year old daughter Salome Gersh were looking majestic with delight in the happy news that their latest art festival project that will premiere at HAU in April 2012 Camp Anti-Camp just received green lighted funding. That means I will be able to mount a Berlin version of my award winning chat show/akshunist installation Vaginal Davis is Speaking From The Diaphragm. In July I begin work on The Communist Bigamist with Susanne Sachsse. Commmie Biggie as we are calling it is our new two woman performance piece that is loosely based on the Ida Lupino/Joan Fontaine film The Bigamist from 1953. Giving congrats to Marc and Susie: NYU Performance Studies professor Tavia Nyongo with his sweet water polo playing pal Sebastiane, Sean Nye the American ethnomusicologist scholar who sadly leaves Berlin at the end of July, pierced nose booty pie Matt who studies continental philosophy, Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Internet Radio Magazine, young Josef the Ulrike´s Brain assistant,Walid Raad the Lebanese artist of the imaginary foundation Atlas Group, dancer Assaf Hochman with beau Little Telemacos Alex of the Chocolate Grinder Film Kollective who did a magnificent job styling my outfit, hair and beating on the doll an amazing face---he even managed to make my shapely gams magically do an Ann Miller pop on stage during my Bob Fosse style introduction, Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim who helped write my opening song and dance routine as well as accompanying me on clavier, Katja Maya aka: Katja von Hellendorf of the band Leisey Lento and the new free jazz punk noise combo Piss Göttin that will urinate on Berlin´s gay burgermeister when they perform at Kunst Werke Museum on July 2 at 6pm.
First timers to RSFS included my fabulous art star daughter Ms. ZacKary Drucker, Javier Peres of Peres Projects who brought along a hot boy bevy that included 17 year old jail bait stud Gerardo Contreras who is the gallerista with the notorious Mexico City cutting edge gallery PreTeen, Winnipeg Canada art fag couple Pzemeck & Travis and DJ Pierre Sarkozy the blondine son of französischen Präsidenten.
The next Rising Stars is Friday July 29th 9pm with a screening of the feminist classic La Souriante Madame Beudet directed by Germaine Dulac with the Blue Bros Tim&kJohnny playing live music and on August 20th a special edition Rising Stars celebrating Wieland Speck of the Berlinale´s Panorama Section with a screening of the first gay German film Anders Als Die Anderen (1919) directed by Richard Oswald with Eunice Martin accompanying on clavier. Yowza!

VOR DEM STURM
Went last nite with Daniel „Mae Cheetum“ Hendrickson to the Arsenal for their Unabhängiger Arabischer mini film festival co-sponsored by the Goethe Institut of Cairo to see the Egyptian film Microphone (2010) directed by the young attractive Alexandria, Egypt director/musician Ahmad Abdalla. The screening was packed which shows there is a huge interest for films from the Arab World. During the Berlinale, before the Arab Spring with little publicity the Arsenal showed a series of Arab films that attracted SRO crowds. I really think this should be a regular focus and the Arsenal needs to do some outreach to the Arab and Middle Eastern communities in Berlin to mix the audience. I enjoyed the film and the cute kids that populated it especially the hot skaterboard rats and one young documentary filmmaker boy who reminded me of my college crush Kaveh Kamooneh who at the time was this super beautiful young Iranian lad.

My interview with Manuel Schubert of Filmhighlights Internet Radio is up and running. Here is the link:

PUNCTUATION AND GLAMOUR
Went to the Arsenal the other eve to see Fritz Lang´s Rancho Notorious (1952) starring Marlene Dietrich. La Lilli Marlene was looking hot cha cha giving every bit of the sex queen at age 50. Leave it to the first eyebrow gal to floor the ageless wonder quotient . Before going to the Arsenal was treated to luncheon with Anna Muelter of HAU. Anna and I had a fab time sitting al fresco style in front of the WAU café catching up on our busy lady lives. Got to meet the new 20 year old HAU intern Timon who is a cute, personable German boy who is into free jazz. I told him all about my new musical art project Piss Göttin which combines punk & noize and and mentioned that Wilhelm Hein´s older brother brought Free Jazz to Germany in the late 60s. Later that night I went to Koen Claerhouten´s Dirty Birthday Party to celebrate his 30th. I have known Koen who is a Flemmish Royal since he interned with the CHEAP collective back in 2004-2005. Koen was living in Egypt earlier this year studying Arabic during the political turmoil. I am glad he is back safe and sound on teutonic soil. His party was cute and I chittle chatted with Katrin Dodd, the beauty of HAU, lovely Nadja Talmi, lovesexxxy Michele Belague,Easy Target Heike of Vienna´s Brut Theatre, soul singer Barbara Panther of the Black Panthers and a charming young curator friend of Koen´s who came to the last Rising Stars, Falling Stars whose name escapes me at the moment. I love Koen´s huge Greifswalder Strasse compound with a glorious view of the Soviet Park.
The next night i was taken to dinner by my darling tranny daughter ZacKary Drucker who will be in Berlin for three weeks. ZacKary is the mulatta daughter I share with Ron Athey, and she is beauty and refinement incarnate. Tuesday morning we filmed at my studio a little short subject project where I play my persona of The Whoracle et Delphi. ZacKary´s assistant was a beautiful young Mexican girl name Jasmine who hails from the Bay Area and has been living in Berlin for the past 2 years. This new art video film also features Warhol Superstar Miss Holly Woodlawn and Flawless Mother Sabrina of the 1968 cult docu The Queen.
After a grueling day of filming I hosted a studio visit with young junior curator from Lithuania Liutauras Psibilskis who now lives in Manhattan. Mr. Psibilskis is a former student of the divine Gavin Butt of Goldsmith College in London and also an associate of the silver fox French legend Michel Audair and Participant Inc.´s Lia Gangitano.
Hector Martinez emugged me the other day with some hot gossip. Hector participated in a spoken word night produced by someone named William Wright, whose young boyfriend is the same former student of Ron Athey´s when he taught at UCLA. This kid became notorious for his performance piece of Russian Roulette where he used a loaded revolver. I thought the young man was a macho straight, but I guess when you play with guns you eventually will wind up turning into a FAG-GOT:

DONFELD ABBY
After recovering from my diarrhea, I am now gifted with constipation so attending a lengthy Living Archive meeting at Arsenal the other day was difficult to say the least. Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus is a very good facilitator, doing a good job keeping things flowing. I have to admit I am more of a Rachel Rosenberg DBD (Doing-by-Doing) personality type then someone who enjoys the discussion process with a project.

Susanne Sachsse, Eunice Martin, & kJohnny Blue shared their plans with the Living Archive project that really sound interesting, and some others in Tuesday´s large grouping expressed ideas that sounded intriguing. I plan on working with Chocolate Grinder Film Kollective to make some kind of experimental coming attraction reel that promotes Rising Stars, Falling Stars. I want to combine the art of projection with some kind of interview with Arsenal projectionists but the specifics still need to be ironed out.

Manuel Schubert of Film Highlights Internet Radio came to Rote Insel to interview me this morning. We first met up with Max Steele and Joseph Bibby for breakfast at Toughstein Café. Max from New York & Joseph from Liverpool are two delightful young artists. Max was on my Speaking From the Diaphragm talkshow installation piece in New York last year. He also publishes a lovely zine called Scorcher. He gifted me a copy of issue number 6 and a bouquet of flowers. I can´t wait to read his zine. Max is also performing Thursday at Chantal´s House of Shame. Max & Joseph joined me in conversation on FilmHighlights and it was a riot of laughs and titular information

O WHAT A LONELY BOY
Andrew Gold died last week age 59. The singer songwriter worked with Linda Ronstadt in the 1970s and besides the hit song Lonely Boy from 1979, he wrote and sang the theme song “Thank You For Being A Friend” from the beloved TV comedy Golden Girls. I knew his sister Melanie Gold who sang on Glen Meadmore´s 1987 album Squawbread along with Iris Parker, Rupaul and I. Mr. Gold´s mother is the famous Marni Nixon(the singing voice of Natalie Wood in WestSideStory(1961) and Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady(1964) and his father is movie composer Ernest Gold(Exodus).
The fabulous Susanne Sachsse treated me and film historian Marc Siegel to the Theater an der Parkaue production of Anybody Out There? An enchanting musical piece for children created by lovesexy Stefan Faupel and CHEAP´s own campus cutup Tim Blue. The work is a delightfully halfbaked conceptualizing of Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz with Herr Faupel and Mr. Blue as space aliens DorothyandAlice literally fisting a super computer named R.I.C. wonderfully voiced by Daniel Hendrickson the Jewish Muslim, and played via video by a regal looking John Blue. The videos and music by The Brothers Blue and Faupel are exceptional, and nicely complimented by Katja Schmidt´s striking costume design. Kudos to an inspiring production and set designed and built by Senol Senturk that references the movie musical The Wiz and Tron. I was hoping for a little more Wizard of Oz in the proceedings but this is a piece that is perfect for very small children- toddlers to about 6 years of age who are kinky, and love to rock out!
Went to first rehearsal with Piss Goddess, the new art band that I am playing electric guitar in as my new persona of Senta Burma along with Katja von Helldorf & Company. It feels great not being the lead singer of a musical project, and I love all the people involved in this little experiment. Something tells me that we are on the verge of creating a new rock n roll movement. Will keep you posted as things develop so keep your ears open for Piss Goddess.
Daniel Hendrickson the darling Jewish Muslim invited me to a sumptuous feast at his Neu Koelln compound where we ate Syrian meatballs cooked on his Arabic Tejine. Daniel surprised me with some out of this holy world Rote Beta & Turnip Greens with KoosKoos. Super yummsville. Leaving NeuKoelln ---Flughafen Strasse was covered with literally hundreds of Police units and what looked like the German version of the batteram, an ode to LA´s brutal police enforcement of the late 1970s and early 80s. I was happy to return to Rote Insel in one piece.
The Berlin touring season has begun in full force. Next week my darling young pretty American daughter ZacKary Drucker will be visiting and we will work on a film project together that also features Holly Woodlawn and Mother Flawless Sabrina.

COSI FANNI TUTTI FRUTTI
Had a delightful din din at Santa Maria Mexican boite with NYU Performance Studies professor Tavia Nyongo the relative of President Barrach Obama who is in Berlin till the end of August. Tavia like President Obama has a Kenyan black father and a white American mother. Tavia commissioned a painting from me for an exhibit he is planning on the notorious transgendered African America prostititute from the 19th Century Peter Sewally. It just so happens that I had written a brief outline years ago on directing a short film where I would play the so called man monster. The working title for my film was The Five Points.
Another NYU Performance Studies professor Barbara Browing sent me a copy of her novel The Correspondence Artist which i started pouring into and can´t put down. Its funny and reviting. She also sent me the manuscript for another book in the works called I`m Trying To Reach You where I make a cameo appearance. I guess my summer reading list is growing. I have also added Jane Austin´s Emma which i have read before but many years ago and the novel Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada.
Just got this cute missive from the delightful young artist and curator Elly Clarke, who is back in Berlin.
Dear Friends,
After a bit of a break since the last show due to my moving part time to the UK for a teaching job at Coventry University, I have the great pleasure in enclosing an invitation to the latest Clarke Gallery exhibition, The Mobility Project, which is taking place at Galerie Suvi Lehtinen, Novalisstrasse 7, 10115 Berlin.
Private View: Friday 24th June, 19.00.
The exhibition is then open Tuesday-Saturday 12-18.00 from 25th June - 23rd July.
It would be brilliant to see you there.
With very best wishes,
Elly

THE FLYING PATOOTIES
With this Ecoli scare here in Germany and my being the biggest Woody Allen style hypochondriac on the planet of course the Vagimule doll is in a sorry state. The news media reported that the Ecoli strain was possibly in lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers or bean sprouts.Basically they don´t have a clue. All day yesterday I was nursing my porcelain potty. No cramps or blood in the stool thank god, but I feel horrible. How I made it to Evie Ruesseler´s Queer Animal Praxis at bbooks is a miracle, but I was glad I could support Ms. Evie Europa who is one of the hottest young artist-filmmaker talents in Germany, and a true artist in every sense of the word. Her retrospectacle at bbooks was delightful.Tim Studkin and the Lady Theodora waxing theoretical ala Spinoza were delicious co-hosts and kept everything whimsical.I was laughing so much that I forgot my stomach woes.Only with my beautiful Evie are the Animals on parade-bears, unicorns, hippos and doggie doddle´s getting their joyous climb that tree Squirrel and chomp the proverbial gnut.
The Evie admirers in attendance: Marc Siegel, Susanne Sachsse, Daniel Hendrickson, Angela Melatoupolous, DJane Olga Damnitz,Alessio, Nico, Stefan, Dragon Ansler, Premel,Tavia Nyongo, Liz Rosenfeld, Jaspir Pue, Anna Muelter,Annette Frick and Wilhelm Hein.

DER GANZ NORMALE HYPE?
Ran into the S&M masked artist Master Patrick the other day while out bike riding on a lovely spring day. Master Patrick lives in the heart of the old west Gay Ghetto of Nollendorky Platz across the street from the Blue Boy Hustler Bar. I had never seen Master Patrick without his leather hooded mask that made him ebiquitisk as the doorman of Pork at Frankenstein 5000 in Kreuzkoelln. The wonderfull Master P invited me into his ground floor studio for a drink and we chittle chatted the night away having a girl-acious time about how the Nollendorf area is changing with the new recent rich Russians and how the owner of the bar Blonde which I like to refer to as Bland is trying to get rid of the boy hookers who are just desperately trying to make a living in a poor town. I find out that Master Patrick is also friends with Desmond Cadogan the hunky former black model and muse to Thierry Mugler, the artist Salome and the long time boyfriend of artist Rainer Fetting. Desmond also did duty as the lover of outrageously sexxxy Russian art photog and poet Slava Mogutin.

Got together with Felix Knoke and Jan Klesse of Tenderloin to knock out some more songs. I always have a supurb time with my beautiful hunky German boys. Jan's pretty girlfriend Marie also helped with laying down some vocal tracts on two songs. Tenderloin rules.

ANOREXIA IS THE SODIUM OF THE MASSES
The tabloid media has been barreling down on me because of my relationship with Ronan Farrow the beautiful blondine son of actress Mia Farrow and director/writer Woody Allen.Ronan use to go by the name of Satchel Allen, "Satchel" being the name his father gave him. But when the Woodman broke up with Ms. Farrow to shack up with her adopted daughter Ronan and the other children started to use their mother's surname. Ms. Farrow's mother is the MGM actress Maureen O'Sullivan who starred in the Tarzan series of the 1930s and 40s. Ms. Farrow's father is legendary director John Farrow. Mia Farrow is Hollywood nobility and has been a star since she was a teenager featured in the nitetime TV soap opera Peyton Place. Mia Farrow has been married to such diverse men as Frank Sinatra and Andre Previn.
Thank god I live in Germany where it’s a lot harder for the American media to get ahold of me. So far all the yellow journalists can do is email my booking agent and webmaster as they don’t have my personal email or an address to reach me. As of last week the papparazi is staking out the CHEAP kollective offices in Neu Koelln in hopes of catching me going in or out. But they are so stupid in that they only know what I look like in drag. As a boy I can walk right past them and they don’t even recognize me.
The film i collaborated on with the great feminist filmmaker and artist supreme Evie Europa Ruessler is finally making it premiera at bbooks on Monday June 6th 8pm. Evie is calling the evening “Queer Animal Praxis” which is such a cool name. The event will features some of her short films followed by a theory and textual presentation by Tim Studkin and Theodora. b_books is located at Lübbener Str. 14, in the street triangle of Skalitzer -, Wrangel- and Lübbener Str., glass-front to street.

REJUVENATE WITH KAREN CARPENTER
Rising Stars, Falling Stars Hans Richter tribute last night at Arsenal Institute fur film und video kunst was a blast. The Blue Bros Tim & kJohnny played their little hearts out with great virtuosity, and steamheat was rising from their cello and violin stabbings. And what an audience of international dignataries with a command appearance by the great Lisa Steele(Birthday Suit) and Kim Tomczak the founders of Toronto’s famous Vtape. Lisa and Kim are filled with lovesexxxy Canuckian charms galore. Lisa even had the dearly departed and very much missed artist Will Munroe(Club Vaseline) and Karen Lundgren as students of hers at York University. Miss Karen aka: Kara Hunger is now one of my LA children who I’ve adored since first meeting her when she moved to Los Angeles for grad school at Cal Arts where Ron Athey and I were teaching a block seminar. The vivacious Ms. Steele and Mr. Tomczak are good friends with Arsenal Empress Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, who was looking very bright and girlish chatting with artist Maggie Schneider, personable filmmaker and curator Angela Melitopolous, prima ballerina Trixi Cordua, Manuel Schubert of Filmhighlights Internet Radio Magazine and the Portoguese artist Elsa. Little Alex of the Chocolate Grinder Filmkollective styled my wardrobe for the evening and designed my hair and make-up, and I must say I looked ravishing. Alex hails from Greece and is Greek passive, and this evening met a Greek active hunk from his hometown named Jorgos who is the boyfriend of the beautiful Nazli Kilerci who is collaborating with Susanne Sachsse and I on The Communist Bigamist which goes into rehearsal in July. The fearless leader of kollective CHEAP Ms. Sachsse was resplendid as always with her beau film historian Marc Siegel and gorgeous daughter Salome Gersh with her co-star Zofia from the Yael Bertran installation film that will be part of the Polish Pavillion at the Venice Biennale. Also seen: Australian fagademic Damon Young with Anand his cute Malgaysian scientist pal from Harvard and Rising Stars virgins DJ Snax with his hot humpy young boyfriend.
I don’t know what possessed me to go to the closing night of The Wilde Duck at Praeter, but with Little Alex we made the trek to Casting Couch Allee. The akshunist installation was mobbed by drunken Saturday nite revellers who were not getting it for the most part. Marc Siegel and Susanne Sachsse braved the binge drinking hordes which I couldn’t take so I left. Here is Marc’s report:
Hey Ms. D RSFS was a pleasure last night! you looked splendid. Susi and I did stay at the Wilde Duck to the bitter end last night-until 5am. But Vegard never showed us his thick meat again and instead the irritating audience got drunker and louder and stupider throughout the night, so that at the end, before they even finished the final scene, Vegard simply closed the curtains on the windows and the lights went on and it was over. But before hand we saw some amazing scenes.

Jeffreyland Hilbert is one of the funniest, most talented and sexiest men i know. While everyone else in Los Angeles ages he gets younger and younger looking. I don´t know what his secret is. Perhaps it has something to do with coming from Idaho.
When he found out about my little medical procedure he sent me these words of encouragement:

Ladybird,
It’s not really a big deal. I had one about 5 or 6 years ago. They put you under into a “twilight sleep” but you are awake during the procedure – at least I was. It’s better to take this precautionary step now.
It really is a fairly routine procedure and I’m sure most of your male friends have already done it.
Maybe they will find buried treasure in your culo and you can retire.

SCHWEINEFLEISCH BAUCHTANZ
That hilarious Love Camel aka Andrea Novarin just said i should rename my blog in honor of my colonoscopy to Speaking From the Colon. What a card she is. Got lovely emails from big daddy Ron Athey in London, Dr. Jennifer Doyle, Jeffreyland Hilbert, Glen Belverio from Singapore and many others to numerous to mention wishing me well and giving me advice about the colonoscopy procedure. I hate hospitals and going to the doctor. I remember Andy Warhol going to the hospital for a very minor procedure which led to his untimely demise.
The other day i had a sweet breakfast in the Mehringdamn Corridor at the lovely Atlantic Cafe with the handsomest man in Europe Ulrich Ziemons who is off to Chicago and San Francisco where he is working on a project about the legendary underground filmmaker George Kuchar. I connected Uli with my webmaster Larry Bob, and i think they will love each other when Uli gets to the Bay Area. Larry is like a walking encyclopedia and has a German background and can speak fluent Deutsch.
Before starting my fasting and cleansing for my little operation I met with this German man named Holger who has his own private museum devoted to all things Tony Ward. Talk about obsessive. The small museum has photos, sculptures and even a Tony Ward diarama. I was shocked to see an entire wallpaper section of the museum with a photo of Tony that features me from an old magazine in the 80s that we modeled for called In Style. Albert Sanchez took the picture and it was a recreation of a painting by Paul Cadmus. Tony was quite young and very muscular and the location of the photo was the parking lot of the J.J. Newberry's on Hollywood Blvd. I have to admit that HOlger did a good job in displaying this photo with the repetition he uses. I even signed several different copies of Hustler White that he has. Next time you're in Berlin go to the Tony Ward Museum, talk about an adventure off the beaten path.
Someone sent me a link to a YouTube video by the late great Nelson Sullivan that featured Glen Meadmore, Rupaul and I performing "No Money. No Honey" at the Pyramid Club in New York back in the 1980s. I was such a skinny, young bitch back in those days, and the first black queen to wear the platinum blonde look. Rupaul was still in his gritty Starbooty stage. During the performance Glen and I assault a cute young boy which really shocked the New York crowd. I can remember Mommy George Byron admonishing me in her imperial tone, "We don't do that in New York!" In the backstage footage I am handing out old copies of Fertile La Toyah Jackson Magazine to Larry T, LaHoma Van Zandt,Taboo, Santiago aka Hag and Hapi Phace who was the hostess of that evening at The Pyramid. Later in the evening Dean Johnson gave Glen and I serious shade because he wasn't having two queens taller then he was. The only one missing that particular evening was Lady Bunny.
MOEGLICHE BESCHWERDEN NACH DER SEDLERUNG
Just got back from the hospital and my colonoscopy. The prep tonic that you have to take the day before is disgusting. The vanilla flavouring makes it worse.Yuk. The procedure didnt take that long.I didnt even realize I had been put to sleep when i was waking up. Joel Gibb the baby diaper of the Hidden Cameras and his sweet boyfriend Enrico who is a physiotherapist came and fetched me from the klinik. Joel made me a nice little luncheon with carrot and ginger soup as i can't eat solids. Joel and I went had breakfast together Thursday morning and went to see the Wilde Duck at Praeter. We had seen it also on Wednesday night after a lovely dinner with Judy LaBruce and Susanne Sachsse at Azul in Kreuzeberg. Wednesday at The Wilde Duck there were too many people so we grabbed a late nite snack at the Biergarten where i was served by the hunkiest bearded boy with huge hands and dorky glasses. What a pretty creature. I'd love to turn this kid into my new contemporary temporary husband.
Make sure you listen to my internet radio interview with Manuel Schubert of FilmHighlights MultiCult FM. Below is the link if i copy it correctly.

EL CHAPINATOR
That’s what the press in Guatamala is calling the bastard child of The Arnold and his former housekeeper. Looks like Arnold’s children are dropping his surname and using their mother’s name of Shriver in solidarity with her. Well those in the know have given me credit for being the first person to report his infedelities with both women and men. When he was a Venice, CA bodybuilder he was definitely gay for pay to a lot of well-to-do and prominent trolls in Hollywood. That’s how he worked his way into a film career in the first place, like everybody else in LaLaland.
Ran into the sweet and lovely young California scholar Alena Williams the other day. Alena use to be girlfriends with Senol Senturk who has collaborated with me on many CHEAP kollective projects in Berlin. Alena is working on her Phd here in Berlin but she grew up in Valencia, California near Cal Arts went to undergrad at Columbia University and grad school at Harvard. She is a very personable and stylish young lady and has been living in Berlin since 2005 sharing a flat in Kreuzberg with artist/filmmaker Angela Melitoupolous. Gabbing on the street with Alena made me late for dinner at 8 with Katja von Hellsdorf aka Katja Maya who was one of my students from Weissensee Art Academy who I am collaborating on a new music art project in the summer. The dinner meeting went really well and I am thrilled to be doing this project.
Felix Knoke who is in my band Tenderloin and writes for Der Spiegel Online accompanied me to the DRK Klinik in Charlottenberg this afternoon. I was so lucky to have handsome Felix by my side. Friday I will have a colonoscopy procedure performed, which means I will drink some potion that will clean me out completely like an enema, I also have to fast for 24 hours so they can stick a giant dildo TV camera up my tight little astragal. Not looking forward to this in the slightest unless the doctor on Friday is extremely handsome and well built, which I doubt will be the case. Wish me pluck that they don’t find an Alien I or II monster inhabiting my lower intestines or something equally repulsive or troublesome. Please send me some good wishes and healing energies.
Had a wonderful dinner with Djane Olga Damnitz at the Mexican boite Santa Maria in Kreuzberg. Olga is working on a new movie with the German artist/filmmaker Jan Peter Hammer and his Mexican born girlfriend Anna who is writing the scenario. This new film Of Monarchs and Men is a companion piece to his other film The Anarchists Banker. Of Monarchs and Men will star the international star Sarita Choudry of Mississippi Masala and Felix Enslin, the academic son of the RAF’s Gundrin Enslin.
Just received this short story from Hector Martinez in Los Angeles. He wrote it for some friend of his who is collecting an anthology of texts written by gay men about straight men. Hector will read his text aloud at an event, the first time this insurance executive will being doing something like this. I have been encouraging Hector in the creative arena since he was a teenager and its nice to see him taking root and blossoming.
In the 5th grade, this lil Vato was already being called a sissy and most of my elementary buds were keeping their distance from me. In the 6th grade I exploded with fantastic acne formations that led to more distance between me and the regular boys. By the 7th grade I was dealt with the most severe acne-- dried blood, purple lumps that led to tons of name calling. My dude friends that I grew up with would talk to me in class, but most would never have anything to do with me outside of class. I knew and understood the rules, I still recognize and respect those rules.
Petey was a hot blond haired blue eyed boy with a hot ass, and I was in love with him since the 3rd grade. I also knew I wanted to eat his ass! He lived by me and was a white cholo/gangster dude living in South Gate when white people still resided in this lower middleclass south LA suburb. He was absolutely beyond hot!
I was walking home from Jr High, when he rode up behind me on his black Mongoose. He asked me if I was walking home, I said, yes, (it was far), he asked me why I was a Sissy! I said, I wasn't. He asked what was wrong with my face. I rambled off the list of failed medicine and four doctor’s that I had seen.
He asked if I wanted a ride home. I said, where do I sit? He had a boom box tied to the handle bars. He said, “stand on the back wheel stupid.” So I did. He told me to hold on, I put my hands on his shoulders, he said, “You are going to fall stupid”. He put my hands under his arms. I held on to him and he turned his boom box on. “Wishing on A Star” blares out of it. I held on and he rode his bike, super fast, he was jumping off and on the sidewalk, all the way down Southern Ave, from Otis to State Street. I was holding him tightly, touching his body and smelling his 7th grade body odor. I was staring at his gold peach fuzz trail down his lower back and into his white boxers. I was closing my eyes imagining that I was just as pretty as he was. I was hoping that we were friends and I was in love with him in real life. The song ended and he stopped to rewind the cassette and played it again. I took a sneak sniff of my hands that reaked of his pits! I was so happy, but I didn't want him to see me smile, he kept telling me, hold on, stupid! I was holding on, my chin hit his white t-shirt and left a small blood mark on it. I was always bleeding from somewhere on my face. I looked at the stain and closed my eyes. I kept hearing every lyric from the song in slow motion as he sang along and peddled.
As we hit State Street, we had to make a left and pass thru some ghetto Apartments. I knew that we would possibly see his homies, Gibby, Angel and Ruben. All of whom I knew and grew up with and all of them terrorized me. We made a left on State Street and Petey jumped onto the curb as we crossed the street. When we landed he pushed his body back and knocked me off the bike. I fell on the side walk, he took off, I cleaned myself off and crossed to the opposite side of the street. I did not want to pass by Petey and his homies on the same side of the street.
As I passed by them on the opposite side of the street, they all started calling me the usual names, spitting loogies at me, and making girly gestures, but it didn't matter. In the background was Petey’s boom box playing “Wishing on a Star” once again.
I made it home, locked myself in the bathroom and jacked off while smelling my hands with Petey’s arm pit smell on them thinking about his light peach fuzz trail.
The song “Wising on a Star” I’ve held in high esteem in my music collection ever since that day. I have fucked young men to that song. I had made pacts with the Devil with that song, despite all my semen offerings to Satan that punk ass Beelzebub motherfucker never came thru to rid me of the acne that plagued me well into my days in the United States Marines.
So there you have it! I wish I had been smart enuf to have elevated myself from mere ugly fucked up skin kid, to the respectable status of a noble young monster.

SCHWANGERSCHAFT UND STILLZEIT
Phillip Rossler the rising star of Germany’s conservative FDP party is ethnically Vietnamese adopted by Germans. When I saw him splashed across the TV news in my hotel I thought that maybe he was Eursasian. So it seems his collegue the uber icky major fug trunket Guido Westewelle is out of the political last picture show.
On the weekend i went back to The Wilde Duck, the akshunist crack cocaine piece by Vegard Vinge and Ida Mueller that is in front of the Praeter. Some nice scenes of big dicque thickerousness, psychik surgery, shrill domesticata, music squall and economic bladdery. Ms. Mueller’s creepy mask’s and genius costumes& cardboard cobbler sets seem to mirror the gross leaders of the world. I took a dinner break from viewing to munch at Maria Bonita on Danziger Strasse the best Mexican eatery in Berlina.
Wouldn’t it be grand if Vinge/Mueller were on Broadway? Reminds me of when my dearly departed New York mentor Miss Mommy George Bryon treated me to Carol Channing in a revival of Hello! Dolly. Every time she opened that famous mouth she received a standing ovation. It was so old school it was new school. Loved it! Mommy also took me to see David Drake’s The Night Larry Kramer Fist Fucked Me which I hated.

NUR EIN WÖLKCHEN
That studly Syberian artist extroidinaire Slava Mogutin who i love dearly is having a big solo show in New York. Below is the info:

Dear art stars and their admirers,

Please save the date for my upcoming NY solo show SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER, opening on Saturday June 4th, from 3 to 6 PM, at AS IF Gallery in Harlem:

529 Manhattan Ave @ 122 Street
New York, NY 10027
http://www.asifgallery.com/
Tel: 646 338 2140

Curated by the legendary Diego Cortez, the show is based on my brand-new medium-format series of intimate portraits of friends and lovers shot last summer in natural settings of New York and Colorado.

The title is inspired by the Tennessee Williams classic play about repressed homosexuality, lobotomy
and cannibalism--a seemingly perfect combination (in 1959 the play was made into a brilliant movie with Elizabeth Taylor, Montgomery Clift, and Katharine Hepburn).

In conjunction with the show I'm presenting a box set of 25 images, 5" x 5" each, edition of 25 copies.

Please contact AS IF for further details and inquiries: asif@asifgallery.com

Look forward to seeing you all at the opening!

With love always,
Slava

O and the latest CHEAP mailing list by that Ernie Kovaks of film historians Marc Siegel.

Dear CHEAP Friends,

It has been a long time since I've recommended something at the Volksbühne,
but Vegard Vinge and Ida Müller's DIE WILDENTE playing right now (for free!)
24 hours a day until May 28 at Prater is truly remarkable. They are
presenting a "Kastanienallee Tourist Version" of their notorious over twelve
hour production of Ibsen's play. It is funny, perverse, brilliant, moving,
addictive...the best thing I've seen in theater since Reza Abdoh. But you
neither have to know jack (or even care) about Ibsen, nor give a hoot for
theater to enjoy it. Vinge/Müller's piecepart installation, part actionis
something else. Check it out one or more than one day this week or your life
might just be lacking!

...and don't forget to mark your calendars for the next Rising Stars,
Falling Stars, the breast way to appreciate silent films! This Saturday, May
28 at 9pm at the Arsenal Vaginal Davis presents films by radical German
experimentalist Hans Richter with live musical accompaniment by the Brothers
Blue, Tim and Kjohnny. This internationally celebrated film chitchat event
with its post-screening redhot foyer reception hosted by Ms Davis attracts
the young and the evil, the provincial and the non-Berliners, the tired and
the non-academics, the beautiful and the Canadians, the entertaining and the
curators, the politically acceptable and the Netanyahu supporters, the
Badiou fans and the interesting, the film scholars and those you like to
talk to, the fashionable and our friends, the Vaginal Davis enthusiasts and
the sane....and many many more, maybe even you too!

and this other little note from Marcu about The Wild Duck:

Oh, and miss d: you are bumming that you weren't at the wild duck last
night. Susi and I struck pay dirt as we not only saw four or five amazing
scenes, but then went to get a beer and came back for a last look only get
Vegard jumping around conducting the music and then jumping up right in
front of our window and whipping out his dick and rubbing it around
literally as if he were doing it for just us two. Then he lied on the ground
took out the dick and conducted it, slapping it, playing with it and then
slapping his fine ass until he turned over on his back and pissed on himself
again, before getting up and crazily conducting and leaving again. Wow!

We're off to it again today later in the afternoon/evening!

MY TITTIES ARE TOO BIG
Received this cute little emug from the Love Camel aka: Andrea Novarin who works for the BFI in London. No one makes me laugh more then my best girlie friend the world famous Camel.

Oh Doll,
I am just moving somewhere else in London and I have found a much bigger room, which is not that expensive and in the Camden area but away from the crowd and the noise. This way I could cycle, walk or take a bus to work and avoid the fugly tube.
I am thinking about setting up a business to care for the animal companions of any Christians who are selected to go to heaven when Jesus Christ comes back. They know they will be saved. But when the Rapture comes, what will become of all the loving pets who are left behind? I really think there is a gap in the market for that, especially in your home country. I am sorry that you haven’t had any hot affairs in Hamburg. Are there any hippos in their zoo?

NYU Performance Scholar Tavia Nyongo who is half Kenyan and American just like US President Barrach Obama is back in Berlin for the summer. I met with him and his personable German swimmer pal Sebastian at the spacious flat he is living at on Lausitzer Strasse in Kreuzeberg. We then walked in the Spring rain to Moviemento Kino on Kottbusser Damn to attend the Community Romance program curated by artist/filmmaker Liz Rosenfeld. There was a nice whirl of excitement in the air for this event which featured a vast collaboration of local artists who contributed to working on La Rosenfeld’s newest film Frida y Anita.
Ms. Rosenfeld did a great job of curating the program of shorty shorts as it was the perfect length. The Aussie filmmaker Sam Icklow’s Screen Tests had a nice tableaux quality to them. At first when I saw the title I was about to groan as I am sick of riffs on Warhol but it seems his inspiration came from Tippi Hendren and that’s a great starting point. The film in the program that really stole the show was Maikaefer Flieg by Tom Weller a tranny boi who for two years has recorded his voice changing while singing a German nursery rhyme. It was quite brilliant.
Frida y Anita started off lovely with a letter in Spanish from young Frida to her German born father in Mexico. I adored the silent film aesthetic and the lead performance of Greek beauty Margeaux as Frida plus gorgeous cameo appearances from local starinas like Katherine Klewinghaus and Mad Kate. The initial appearance of Anita Berber played by Richard Hancock was genius---in only showing an arm and floating movement representing a dance performance. I would have left it at that if I was at the helm as modern affectations as piercings and dred locks I find distracting for a period setting. But Liz Rosenfeld is definitely a young, mercurially beautiful talent that intrigues me and I am anxious to watch her bloom.
After the screening I headed to the Jewish Muslim’s compound with film historian Marc Siegel and Susanne Sachsse. The JM Daniel Hendrickson was just back from Prague. At Moviemento Kino saw scholar and curator Tim Studkin, feminist filmmaker Evie Europa Ruesseler and that uber friendly walking career British curator Ian White aka: Miz Gorgeous.
I had missed the Arsenal’s screenings of Otto Preminger’s Carmen Jones starring Dorothy Dandridge and Bonjour Tristese starring Jean Seberg, so to make up for that I went and saw Martin Scorcese’s juicy film version of the Edith Wharton novel The Age of Innocense starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Michele Pfeiffer and Winona Ryder with a Wharton like narration by Joanne Woodward.
Had a long Skype talk with my beautiful child of high New York art Jonathan Berger who is planning a big musical benefit for Lia Gangitano’s Participant Inc. Gallery next year that he wants me to be the hostess to this gala that will be called Participacalypse Now! And will feature performances by Antony & the Johnsons, Sonic Youth, Liquid Liquid, and hopefully appearances by Michael Stipe of REM and Joel Gibb of the Hidden Cameras.
Jonathan also told me the gossip about the Barbara Gladstone/Jack Smith exhibit which he feels is a horrible, shallow, insensitive presentation of Smith and inherently wrong on every level. Those of you in New York who have seen it send the doll an emug and tell me your opinion.
The other day I found a cute photo I took of Tim Tierney from my old Club Sucker at the Garage days. Tim was a cute dork that use to go out with one of my favorite punk rock lady friends Valerie Vaughn who is one of the most stylish punk fashion interpreters to come out of Hollywood. Valerie has amazing taste and was doing looks in the early 80s that surpassed all the other young punkettes at the time. I will always remember how hot she looked wearing one of Fertile La Toyah Jackson’s designs for Retail Slut in a Scratch Magazine fashion show. Well anyway Valerie and Tim had gone out and broken up and Tim had come by Club Sucker to bemoan the breakup and we wound up going out to dinner at Taylor’s SteakHouse and I told him that he should get back together with Valerie as she is really incredible and he would never find a girl like her ever again as she was one of a kind. Well we started drinking whiskey sours, and Taylor’s makes the best and luckily I lived very close to Taylor’s in Korea Town so Tim didn’t have to drive that far as he was a bit tipsy. Tim is the nephew of the b-movie actors Scott Brady and Lawrence Tierney. Lawrence Tierney was known as a rough and tumble actor who drank & brawled away his Hollywood career but made a comeback in the early 90s with Quentin Tarrentino’s Reservoir Dogs. Tim actually looks very much like his famous uncle when the man was young, except that Tim is a bit fey with what I would say is some sugar in his tank. At the time Tim was a Science grad student at UC Santa Barbara and had driven down to LA just to hang out with me. Well he was supposed to spend the night at a friend’s house but conveniently he wasn’t able to get ahold of that friend so he wound up spending the night with me sharing a bed. We had a few more nightcaps before retiring and while under the covers I felt a poking of my backside by something really huge. To my surprise and delight Tim possessed one of the longest fatest penises I have ever beheld. How Valerie kept that a secret from underground Hollywood society is a marvel.
His penisaurus looked even bigger because of his skinny body. Well we fooled around a bit and he tried to plow me with that thing, but of course I was not able to accommodate such a monster in my tight virgin puddy. Lord knows i gave it the old college try, and Tim even admitted that he had planned on seducing me from the start. Word to the ladies! beware of unassuming shy acting nerds.
They can be lethal. Even performing fellatio upon such a member was difficult. Its so funny because his movie actor uncle’s Scott Brady and Lawrence Tierney are also known for their large appendages so it must run in the family.

FUNERAL DILDO BLUES
Had a delightful meeting with director Rosa von Praunheim at his huge atelier in Charlottenberg. After 13 years Rosa has finished editing Marta and Hilde the film that I starred in as Marta Fuetwonger with Selene Luna as Hilde Waldo.Rosa screened it for me and it looks amazing and is hilarious. We filmed it in 1998 at Villa Aurora in Pacific Palisades, where Marta and Hilde actually lived. The film will be screened next year as part of Rosa´s big 70th birthday celebration where he will make and screen 70 films in one year.He has the project all layed out in his studio with big charts on the walls.Rosa has a pet snake which didnt sit too well with this woman who cannot stand creepy crawley slithery creatures.

Later that evening i met with Joel Gibb the handsome and sexy baby diaper of the Hidden Cameras in front of Praeter to see the performance installation Wild Duck based on the writings of Henrik Ibsen that is the latest creation from those insane Norweigans Ida Müller and big thick dicked Vegard Vinge. It is actually not a new piece, they first did it in Oslo in a regular theatre, but this format is more of an akshunist installation and let me tell you it is one incredible endurance trial that lasts 24 hours a day for two weeks.I am too old to do that kind of work, the last endurance fests i curated and participated in was Visions of Excess and Platinum Oasis and those pieces almost killed me. Vegard is one sexxxy motherfucker and he and Ida are visionaries. The costumes, sets and sound and use of repetition of gesture and movement is something that Berlin and the world needs right now at this time and place. This piece is addictive. I didnt want to leave but it is uncomfortable standing for so long when you have gout, so i had to bail for a dinner break with Joel and later joined by Lady Peaches, and her man Connie, Susanne Sachsse, Enrico Dallman and his friend Mike we watched the piece some more then took another repreive at the Praeter Beirgarten for a snack and drinks. Didnt wind up leaving till 2am, but boy was it worth it.

The installation in front of the WAU Cafe called Ship of Fools, doesn´t compare to The Wilde Duck. Ship of Fools is cute but being that i am so tall trying to negotiate such a tiny narrow space was nerve wracking and claustrophobic. But if you are a tiny person it is the perfect installation for you.

Just got this sweet note from one of my brilliant former NYU students Marc Arthur who also helps maintain my blog with Larry Bob Roberts. Marc just produced and directed an amazing version of Peter and the Wolf with a cast of children and he has gotten rave reviews.

Hey Ms. Davis,
It's taken me a bit to get back to you because I've just been so busy working and running around doing 1 million things. New York is no joke and I may be getting a little worn out. Paying rent, promoting my own work and negotiating all of this art world drama can be so overwhelming, it makes a person want to run away to the seclusion of the woods.

on the other hand...

Peter and the Wolf was a huge success! We sold out every show (the house held 150). The production was really epic, with glitter cannons, nearly naked 14 year old boys and gallons upon gallons of Herman Nitsch style messy paint. I put everything into the piece and was so happy and proud with how it went. Here is a link with pictures from the show:

Here is a blog review of the show:

Not sure why the DeRohan link wasn't working. I put it up again with the same old link and it now looks like it is working. So you haven't seen him? Has he embraced his sexuality, what ever that may be? I mean, is he running around Berlin sucking dick? or pussy? or is it just that nasty gaysians are chasing him?

My sex life has been VeRy spiCy and exCitng lately. I am still seeing matthew who you met at your opening. And recently we have opened up our relationship. It's a funny story actually because for the longest time I wanted an open relationship and he did not. This was annoying but I dealt with the situation because he's a great bf. Then I caught him cruising online! to think he would cruise online while simultaneously not want an open relationship that he knew I wanted!> anyways we had a very long lesbionic conversation that lasted like 24 hours and now it seems as if there is a new guy in our bed every night.

Let me see,the highlight was probably when matthew brought home this really hot Mexican dude from a bar. His name was Enrico and he had the thickest penis i've ever witnessed - literally thicker than a beer bottle. It was crazy. Matthew and I took turns trying to fit it in our mouths but all we could really do was get it wet on the head because it was so ginormous. Matthew was feeling adventurous enough to try and take it. He sucked my dick while Enrico fucked him. Matthew was in so much pain because it was so big that he was screaming what could have sounded like murder. Eventually he got over this and started to enjoy it but by that time it was too late.. we live in a very old building and the walls are very thin. The neighbors were banging on the door and they wouldn't stop knocking. I put my clothes on and answered the door. The man from downstairs was very concerned and apparently had almost called the police because he thought someone was being murdered. I looked him straight in the eye and I said, "ya, my friend is being murdered by a huge cock. But he loves it. so it's fine don't worry" Slammed the door and returned to the scene of the crime. Matthew was now on his back and Enrico was really pounding away. Mathew couldn't take it any more and started to cum. I quickly slobbered this up and then shortly after swallowed enrico's thick messy load. Which smelled so delicious, like stinky cheese with mangoes. I did not cum which kind of sucked which was all the neighbors fault for intervening.

How are things going with you in Berlin? Did you win the award? Was it for the obies? I REALLY want to come to Berlin this summer but I don't have enough money. I'm going to stay here and cruise coney island instead.

hearts,
marc

Had a gloriously delicious dinner at Felix Knoke’s flat in Neu Koelln where he made this gourmet vegemated lasagna dish and spring awakening salad. Felix is a journalist with Der Spiegel Online and is one of my bandmates in my new art/music project Tenderloin. Cute Felix is also in Glen Meadmore’s European touring band along with Jan Klesse and the members of the Munich alt rock band The Lazy. Enjoying Felix’s wonderful and nutritious meal was Jan Klesse and Joel Gibb the baby diaper of the Canadian band The Hidden Cameras. After feasting we started writing a few new songs for Tenderloin which I might add came out quite good. One song is called “The Man Who Loved Too Much” and is loosely based on the old Bette Davis/Lesley Howard film Of Human Bondage.
The other day had a Skype call from Hector Martinez who is a successful executive with Affleck Insurance Company in Los Angeles.I’ve known Hector since he was about 15 years old and use to come into Hollywood from the Latino suburb of South Gate to see me perform with The Afro Sisters in the early and middle 80s. Hector just gave up his lease on an office space at the famous Library Tower in Downtown LA which is the tallest building in the city. It seems like this highrise is losing tenants at a rapid rate. Over the years of being in the building Hector developed a nice relationship with the Latina cleaning lady crew who of course knew all the hottest gossip not fit for print about the tenants occupying the building. At present the library tower is only half filled.Things started going downhill for the building when a big law firm left the skyscraper for cheaper offices digs nearbye. The cleaning ladies get treated badly by most of the tenants in the building who don’t see them as humans but only as janitorial machines. When Hector’s lease was up he decided not to renew, and the management company of the building even offered to lower his rent if he stayed. It seems like there is a lot of after hours hanky panky going on at the library tower as some tenants use their offices to have wild sex whorgies. Talk about your towering enferno.
The other day someone emailed me a picture of Tippi Hendren (Melanie Griffith’s mother/mother-in-law to Antonio Bandares)from Alfred Hitchcocks classic shocker The Birds, and it reminded me of the LA drag queen Trixie, who did a great impersonation of Ms. Hendren at the old 4 Star Saloon on Santa Monica Blvd back in the 1980s. I wonder what happened to Miss Trixie who was good friends with another LA queen named Gender. Miss Trixie’s best girlfriend was a pretty black queen named Coco who looked like a younger RuPaul. Poor CoCo was shot and and killed in Vaseline Alley one night by the drug cartel she was stiffing as a dealer to the WeHo drug circuit. Does anyone out their in cyberland also remember Miss Erica Townsend who was the host of the long running Tuesday Nite Drag Search Competition at the Four Star Saloon in the 80s? RuPaul when she briefly lived in LA competed at DragSearch and won as his former persona of StarBooty. I entered the contest once singing a Cholita song and Miss Erica said I was pretty but needed her to do my makeup. Being a traditional drag queen, Miss Erica wasn’t accepting my off kilter punky avant garde style of drag, but in all fairness she wasn’t as harsh about it as a lot of other queens of the era. The last thing I heard about Miss Erica was that she had to skipp town for Vegas, and of course drugs were somehow involved . I will never forget one time going by the Four Star Saloon on Thursdays which was The Limbo Lounge nite, and was the rare evening in which East and West Hollywood met. Erica was locked in her little wooden shed in the tiny dressing room madly sewing beads on a gown.
The late Billy Limbo was the creator of the Limbo Lounge which was a weekly party that featured hostess Nova China a queen who worked a giant boa constrictor into her act. The star of the Limbo Lounge was Glen Meadmore who every week did an outrageous performance that kept audiences having to go to the hospital for jaw replacement surgery. Billy was a nice but odd fag with a huge penis and muscular body. He was the resident DJ at the Four Star and had been a normal gay stud on the prowl who got tired of having sex with homo normative types and decided to turn punk and screw all the alterna faggots.
Received two cute letters from my former students. One from Marie Norman a sweet talented girl who was in my class at the Malmo Art Academy in Malmo Sweden. She sent me the latest of her short experimental films, this one dealing with prostitution. Can’t wait to watch it, and also my adoreable USC student Connor Flanagan who collaborated with me on dejecta/protecta in January sent me a loving letter that included an essay he wrote about me for class which was very well written and insightful. Connor will be studying abroad in the fall so hopefully we will hang out either in Berlin or London where I will perform “Memory Island” on October 29th at the Tate Modern, and will be conducting Live Art Workshops with the students at Goldsmith College as part of an art conference curated by the lovesexy Gavin Butt called Trashing Performance.
Jonathan Berger my dreamy young child of high art in New York just sent me this link concerning an article on Justin Bond
http://justinbond.com/?page_id=572 .
The great and glorious Ms. Bond was just profiled in New York Magazine. A Facebook controversy cropped up when Justin wrote about not being happy with certain elements in the write up. In the her wonderful blogina she articulately explains herself.
I can’t tell you how many interviews I have done in mainstream straight and gay publications where they had a preconceived notion about me and my work and had pretty much written the article before the interview.
Gay periodicals are sometimes the worse offenders. I also hate when journalists are lazy and don’t do their homework. I don’t do much journalism writing these days as the pay is horrendous but when I worked for The LA Weekly, Zoo and Dutch Magazine I was always fully prepared for my interviews with celebs and other personalities.
In reading the New York magazine profile I agree with Justin that the tone was odd. It almost seemed like to me that the writer can’t believe that someone from the underground has been able to somewhat crossover into a more high profile arena, and that he feels that Justin’s talent doesn’t completely merit her being recognized along with more mainstream stars like Rufus Wainwright or Jake Shears of the Sissor Sisters.
Last night was my first counseling session as part of Hannah Hurtzig’s Die UnToten Mobile Academy Kongress at Kampnagel in Hamburg. I had a fun time, but was completely excrement for brains as I suffered from insomnia the night before traveling to Hamburg. One of the Kampnagel’s cute personable assistants Edna from Bremen picked me up at the central train station and checked me into the nice comfy boutique Heikotel am Stadtpark near the Kampnagel. Later a young blondine boy named Bjorn who is a musician and artist friend of lovesexxy Melissa of Chicks on Speed fetched me and whisked the doll to the Congress. Before I started my first counseling session I hung out with Melissa, Nadine and the Chicks on Speed crew at their exciting VooDoo hut installation where i got to drink some hallucinagen root drink and snort natural cocaine with menthol in it. Ran into Evie Europa Ruesseler who has been taking care of her mother’s chicken farm outside of Hamburg. After my counseling sesh Evie hung out with me back at the hotel and showed me a copy of Teddy’s Bestiary-Letters to the Parents, a fantastic new film about Teddy Adorno, his mother, aunt and their love of Hippos at the Berlin Zoo. This film has been Evie’s labour of love for the past 4 years. I star in the movie and really was excited to finally see it edited. Evie plans on having a private screening at bbooks soon and I will give you details in this very blog.
The first day of the Congress one of my counselees was the famous choreographer Johan Roller who lives in Berlin and Australia. We had a lovely little chat. Because of my insomnia the night before coming to Hamburg I didn’t feel like I was very effective, but people overhearing the conversations said that it was fine. I am of course my worse critic. Judy La Bruce’s collaboration with Susanne Sachsse Ulriche’s Brain was the akshunist event of the Congress. The set looked amazing and the gaggle of young people involved with the project included Jonathan Johnson, Stefan Sandrock, Saskia Timm, Heiko Alberti on camera, Bernd Schoch sound & music, Marc Teuscher costume, Katja-Inga Baldowski; make-up Maria Trifu and special effects make-up by Kim May. Hamburg has a great scene of creative youth who are eager beaver to explore and get down in the proverbial dirt.
Had wonderful moments with the marvelous Kampnagel staff and crew like sexy John Wayne is big leggy Simon who was my escort from the hotel to the venue. On Friday we missed each other and I got into the SUV of a total stranger thinking that he was from the theatre, and Hamburgarians are so friendly that he took me to my destination. The man could have been a sexual maniac. It became the talk of the Congress, and poor Simon saw me get into the wrong car and followed to make sure I was safe and sound. Also had great conversations with Kampnagel Intendanz Amelie Deufhard, Ekkehard Ehlers the gifted composer and music theorist who also suffers from gout and was very comforting to me about having this old fashion illness, the famous Thomas Meinecke and his beautiful and vivacious wife, plus Mark Ravenhill, Sandy Stone and so many others too numerous to mention here.
Also participating in my section of charismatic counseling or Beratungen was juicy Nicolas Siepen from bbooks, Christiane Voss and legendary theatre director Barbara Bilabel who came in elaborate Day of the Dead make-up and costume.
Saturday in the late morning I got to spend quality time with fearless leader of CHEAP Susanne Sachsse and Anna Muelter when they treated me to a glorious breakfast at this cute café and then we took a walk around this breathtaking lake.
I missed the big Kampnagel dance party because I went back to my hotel to take a disco nap and didn’t wake up till 6:30 in the morning.
