Bibbe I have known for most of my life in Los Angeles. We have collaborated on numerous projects together along with her young Chicano artist husband Sean Carrillo. Bibbe´s Factory Poems edited by Sean Carrillo and Dagon James features stunning photographs by Bobby Grossman, Dagon James, Billy Name and Kate Simon and is not only beautifully written but sumpteous to hold in ones hand. Published by the Waverly Press this brilliant tome is incandescent, and really shows the world the majesty that is Bibbe Hansen and her wonderous gifts of the spirit. Ms. Lofgren is the contemporary extemporaneous sculptural procuress of the divine in all its ecological and biological unmitigated breathy realness. Annotated works, scribbles and conversations abound with the sacred and the profane. Karen Lofgren is a Los Angeles based Canadian artist who I have personally known since she was a student at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California and I have been working and collaborating with ever since.
